A newcomer approaches!

Hello!

My name is SleepyRiri and I do pixel art whenever I feel like it. Stuffs.

Unfortunately I'm not here to hang out with you guys. I have something to possibly submit to The Spriters Resource, and I'd like to know where to get information on the rules and guidelines! I could probably look for these myself, but since I assumed I needed to make an account to submit something anyway, I might as well just ask and focus on the work.

Hyrules Warriors Adventure Mode REDRAWN

Hello everyone!

I'm sure many people over the internet have been looking for the Hyrule Warriors' "Adventure Mode" sprites. Though I cannot provide a rip, I've been working on redrawing them pixel by pixel (a friend helped with a few of them).

Many sprites appear on seldom events, such as using a candle on a bush, so I can't get them all.
The colors used in "Adventure Mode" can be accurate to the NES palette used (I believe it's from FCEUX), but some can't be replaced by any of the color in it (Impa's skin, for example).


Since there are so few sprites per character, yet so many characters, and that I don't plan on finishing them all very soon, I've been wondering how I would have to submit them.

Alright!

So for a while now I've been trying to rip the models from "The Beatles: RB"...

And I've got everything I need to done, so far! As in:
Make the ISO.
Rip the files from the ISO.

That's it, sadly...


I'm stuck at these couple of files though...

.wad and .ark

NO idea how to get into them, or extract them!


So I'm asking ALL of you to help me get them open!

Hello, I was looking for someone who would be willing to rip kaiju models from Daikaijuu Battle Ultraman Colesseum DX (Wii), I am unable to do it myself and I know people have ripped from the game before but I havent been able to get in contact with them or find the models anywhere online. Thank you.

Has anyone managed to acquire the relevant files of this game? Unfortunately I am unable to do so myself or I would be working on them to every end I could. If anyone could supply me with them I would most appreciate it. I'd like to start working on figuring out how to extract models and textures as soon as possible. Iwas hoping I would not be the only one either, so we could make a project of it.

So, it's been forever since I posted anything here. You guys probably forgot about me.

It'd feel wrong if I bumped my old, dusty thread, so I'd rather start from scratch.

And by that I mean complete that stupid Zebesian for once and move on.

I plan to make a game, and these two would be the protagonists.

Hi there!
I recently found a rom for Chihiros 'Ollie King', and I was wondering if it was possible to rip the 3d models from it? 
All the rom has in it is a .DATA file. 
So I'm not sure if it's possible to rip from. If it is I want to attempt to get the models from it. I'd probably need some help though.
--I dunno, any thoughts or input?

I know they're in .brres format, but could someone please rip Dunban, Riki, and Reyn from Xenoblade Chronicles for me please? Just default outfits, and weapons if you can.



I'll edit and simplify them and then turn them into papercrafts. I'll give you credit for the models, and they'll be posted on multiple sites.

Hey guys. I joined this site in the hopes of learning how to make some cool sprites.
One of the major problems I have at the moment is not knowing where to start.
Majority of the things I have read for beginners to do were to just edit sprites or doodle things that you like.
Neither things I feel would work for me so I would like to ask for some help.
I was wondering if someone would be able to give me some things to do in order to learn make things that aren't terrible.
I should also mention that the artistic direction I aspire to lean towards is Megaman Zero, Azure striker, and the like.
Hopefully this isn't too much to be asking in my first post.

Greetings my dear members of The VG Resource community! My name is HiHiCyclyn and I am just another person who's really interested into ripping sprite assets from primarily RPG Maker games. My interests besides gaming are drawing, watching anime and... I-I never had that many hobbies you know?

Not quite sure whether I could gain friends in this place, but I'm usually a very kind, so I don't see any trouble into making new "friends".

Besides wanting to be nice against the community of this website in general, I also want to prove myself useful by ripping sprite sheets from popular games lacking ones. I'm specialized in ripping sprites and textures. My knowledge about modeling isn't that much, and my 3-dimensional modeling abilities aren't that advanced either.

That is pretty much all I have to mention for now... have a good day!

Created this thread because I'll probably do more with it eventually.

For now I'll post this...I'll be doing a lot more with this base so if there are any problems I'd like to know before I start making others!

Shading crits welcome though I already intend to increase shading, contrast and such to remove the flatness. Feel free to give shading crits either way, not that there is much shading yet. More interested in hearing about any other suggestions anyone has to offer.

Hello.

I am completely new to this forum, having signed up minutes ago. I heard that in order to make a request, you must first have had at least 20 posts. (See here for reference: http://www.vg-resource.com/thread-14648.html)

Is this true? And if so, what does it mean have made 20 "posts"?

As a forum with many talented spriters, I'm surprised I haven't seen this been discussed here yet (although if it has I certainly missed it). It's what it says on the tin: you can take 3D models and turn 'em into pixel art. Granted, the actual process isn't that simple, but relatively speaking, it seems to be somewhat straightforward. Examples:
Obviously, there's a bit of roughness if left as-is, but I'm honestly surprised with how great looking the results still are as-is. The "rough" shading kind of reminds me of how character graphics appear in Art of Fighting 3, particularly the up-close shots after a fight.

So, what do the fine folks here think? Does this ruin the "true" craft of spriting, or could this become a useful tool for projects? Myself, I think this could potentially become real popular in the MUGEN scene to create fighters (Smash characters, anyone? Cute).

Also, I'm sorry if this should've gone in a different forum; I figured I wouldn't post this in Custom Sprites/Pixel Art since I'm not actually posting any art of mine, but couldn't think of anywhere else to post it but here.

Breath of Fire 2 arrangement

Hey, everyone!

As you may have noticed, Breath of Fire 2 is just a mess: http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/breathfire2/
We have duplicate character sheets, enemies that show up in single sheets and in groups with others, mixed enemy and boss sheets, etc. 

Unfortunately, I don't know this game well enough to do anything about it. Would you folks like to help me out? Anything is helpful.

Sega 32X errors with Gmod

Hello all,
I've been using Gens KMod v2.12 for a while now but have run into an issue with 32X. Whenever I try and load 32x games I receive the error "Your 32X bios files aren't correctly configured: Genesis 32X bios not found.". I have absolutely zero clue what this means in any way. When I click Help it says my help files are not setup. 

I've been at a loss for several months, but I'm determined to get it working as there are plenty of 32X games not covered on the resource yet.

It's undoubtedly a simple fix but I just can't find the documentation to detail how.

These are some Resource Ideas that I came up with in case if the VG Resource should expand some more:

VG Font Resource: Where we can upload/download all sorts of fonts that were used in various video games. Smile

VG Music Resource: Where we can upload/download all sorts of music tracks that were used in various video games. I know there are other VG Music websites where you can do that, but if the VG Resource made one, it would somehow raise their popularity up. Smile

I have been thinking about making sprite sheets for A.P.B the arcade game and took notice to the animation sprites of the various cars. The common criminal vehicles such as Litterbugs, Honkers (taxi cabs), Dopers, Drunks, and Assaults (bikers) have 5 to 6 frames of animation. Other vehicles such Speeders, Murderers, A.P.B's, and civilian vehicles are pretty much static. Each vehicle seems to be able to rotate 360 degrees along 16 points like a compass, N * NE * E * SE * S * SW * W * NW * (* represents the "in between" points), with Officer Bob's (player) vehicle fully rendered to make a full 360 degree rotation with no limit on points. My question is, would the full rotation be necessary for a proper sheet or would it be considered overkill or clutter? Any thoughts and opinions would be most helpful, please and thank you!
