Back at it again (at Dreamy Team)

Since it's been literally years since my threads were used... figured I'd go ahead and make a new one.
So... I've still been making M&L sprites! And that'll mostly be what this thread is for - to get some feedback on M&L sheets I plan on finishing before I submit, and miscellaneous things that might not warrant their own threads.

(Animations may be better viewed opened on their own tab because of some fast frame rates.)

and yes, if you're wondering, if I don't put "please do not use" most everyone who follows me will try to mutilate these, as bad as that is

'Ello everyone!

Bastion here. As an avid lover of all things SNES, my buddy Alzorath turned me to this community for some help with some spriting needs. So.... that's about it.

I'm a gamer and streamer, so yeah I'm boring.

Perfect Dark (N64) models

Since I'm a huge fan of PD, I thought doing models for the game would do well. As said, there are a-lot of complex models in this game, which can take awhile to export and fix up, and such. I'm also a bit nooby with texture usage, so expect some un-used textures in the files if I upload them (Which may be an easy fix)

As to start this off, I already have a few models ripped, mostly some standard weapons from their first-person view, as 3rd person uses lower-poly models. And I feel these models will look better.

A Falcon 2, Perfect Dark's standard handgun, a-bit un-textured due to the lighting effects affecting the way it was exported, but at least it looks okay. much better than I expected it to be.

The Shotgun went out well, full texture's and details with little mistakes. It's a bit intimidating to look from the barrel view. Looks a-lot better than I expected.

The AR34 looks pretty good, too, almost like the actual game.

We run into MAJOR problems with the K7 Avenger, all because it uses the same lighting style as the Falcon 2.

The RC-P90 from GoldenEye 64 is a bonus weapon you can unlock if you get all golds in the firing range. I thought it'd make a great addition to the model collection, too.

Hey people of the vg resource,
I have extracted one of the character .pacs from the game and looked through one of the sound files. Is there a way to extract the cutscene and battle sounds with the .hca file extension?
EDIT: I already extracted the sounds from the DLC characters, now to dig deep into that hole (Non-DLC characters might have have a different file extension).

I should have said something a couple of weeks ago but just wanted to let you know that I'll be inactive for a while longer so you won't think I've abandoned my user account here. ^^
Then again no one would really care, but oh well. =P

I stumbled on some of the anb files for this game while organizing my computer, and to my surprise they were actually pretty easy to read.

The problem, however, rises with the trademark wayforward piece image together from texture system.

Unlike the other wayforward games I've worked with, this one is really confusing.
I was wondering if someone could take a look.

The area of interest is at 0x2C
That's a coordinate table with like 64 bytes per entry
Anvil has 3 entries
Those coordinate have to somehow point to the locations on that texture. I can find no correlation.

I feel like the 0xC1 and 0x41 are flags that tell you to do something to the next byte, but I don't know what.
That's about as far as I've managed.

A certain steam game I've been trying to extract from is giving me some trouble. The name is Ironclad Tactics, and it's assets are pretty simply organized into folders, however they are in common-name formats with no similarities to others. I was hoping someone could figure them out?

Or modelers, or anything else you prefer.  I'm Tech, I'm an aspiring writer and lately I've been wanting to experiment with CGI animation.  After checking out The Models Resource, I decided to just play by ear, but I ended up getting confused.  I got told that joining the forum would be a great way to get help, so that being said, hi!  I'm sure I'll have a good time here and hope to learn a lot about modeling!  =)

Here's a really sad game we can all play. Or...moreso I'm just curious how utterly amazing the results of this can be here on VGR.

How to play?
  • Visit images.google.com (for better results, try DeviantArt instead)
  • Search your first name followed by "the hedgehog"
  • If you have a really weird name with no results, or just feel weird using your actual name on the internet for some reason in 2015, feel free to just make up a name and use that instead.
  • Post the greatest result. Can't decide? Post multiple!

apparently im so edgy im covered in spikes, just fricken everywhere. spiked bracelets weren't enough for me
i needed to be edgier and put spiked bracelets on my knees

Decided I would try as well like to make a harder game, the tilesets aren't matched perfectly on lvl 1 but it should be fine. I'll fix it later if it's that much of a prob.

Only world 1 is done.

So, I have a question I'd like to ask.
I know a few users on this forum are really skilled at reverse engineering image formats and I'd like to know if they could somehow give me something that could teach me how to do that as well.
Some documentation, or some video, or just a general rundown of the process, whatever is fine I appreciate any help.

Is there like any easier way to do textures without the rice plugin?
In dolphin it's way easier and it has an auto texture dump system of which you can go to the pictures at Documents.
When I use the riceplugin and do the texture dumps to SM64, it somehow doesn't work.

Does anyone know which program .pliv and .pmod files are associated with and any format info?

Pmod contains the string "PMM" and holds mesh data.
Pliv contains the string "PLM" and contains joints data and I suspect animation data.

Here's tribute edition, it's pretty old though. The original got canceled like a long time ago by like hasbro when mane6 made it.
In this one they have two extra chars, also add mods I think.

I'm looking for anyone who takes model/texture requests for either N64, Gamecube, Wii and PS2.

I can't rip my own textures and models due to my video card not supporting Direct3D. Sad I can't afford it either.
