Well I absolutely love this game in almost every aspect, and I was wondering if anyone has looked into it's file format system. I noticed the portraits and such from the Spriters Resource. I was hoping someone was working on the models as well. I wanted to get most of the characters, especially Abe Lincoln and Starface...

Sprites needed for App

We are developing an app and needs 6 sprites, 64x64. Its for a childrens app so the sprites need to be simple but engaging. They need 3 states, stationary, walking/running, flying. The sprites we have in mid are wrestler, spaceman, ballerina, unicorn, ladybird, alien (of some description). Happy to pay a reasonable price, $30+ each, to be agreed. Other graphics for the app are also required if interested. Look forward to hearing from you, Danny

PGE Project - 2D platform game engine

It's a developing free and open source platform game engine and toolkit which gives the ability to create games of platform genre. Project is based on the Super Mario Bros. X fan game engine reverse engining (SMBX64 Standard) and fully compatible with it. The main and important idea of project - to give possible for any user to creating platform games from exists media which you have or which you can draw yourself. This idea which is present at SMBX fan game laid the foundation of the PGE project, but main deficiency of SMBX is a strict data standard and closing to the Mario fan game series.

Now I have working level and world map editor but engine part still in early development state, but levels and world maps made with included editor can be played in the old SMBX game engine.

Project is cross-platform: I have builts for Linux, Windows and Android. I plan to take ability build project for Mac OS X, but I have some issues with running of them to take ability debug it. (PGE uses the Qt framework, so, it can built for any supported platform, but by anyway some debug job needed anyway to take it building).

Any-who, I am Sean Hicks, formerly known as Starpower. You can still call me Star if you like (sometimes it turns into StarMan- which is fine by me. Sounds cooler).

I use my personal name these days. I am a visual development artist, illustrator, and pixel artist. I hope you all give me a warm welcome back to this place, as I plan to revisit some familiar faces here! As far as what's been up, just recently graduated from a community college after 4 years. I plan to go back to college in the fall, but at SCAD, for a masters. All in all, I am open and friendly to everyone.

However, I will ban you if you ask me for M&L Wario Bros.

"unsure how this works but heck ill give it a shot." basically i want everyone to have access to the following models on the models resource website, wanting characters from Zelda Ocarina of time 3DS and Zelda Majoras mask 3DS.

it would be cool to be able to do things like download these models from here and then put them in mario kart Wii
or Smash bros brawl. or even just have them all lined up in a row to gaze at them in 3d max.

but to do that we need them ripped and T-posed in mdl obj or 3d max format with textures applied to them.
if anyone can do this, ill pay the person $100 per model. "negotiable"

maximum being 20 characters. = $2000

So this thread's gonna exist for all the worldly news you hear about. Why does this exist? So we can talk about actual real-world things here besides our menial lives.
It can be funny news, celebrity gossip, research news, sad news, tech news, whatever - just try to stray away from gaming news (this is GD and we get enough of that elsewhere)

PROTIP: Here's how to share news like a cool dude or dudette:
1) share a link
2) add little snippets under the link so the lazier of us don't have to read the whole dang article (especially if it's long)

The Princeton Review, trying to be cool and edgy, used pop lyrics in a SAT review guide to review poor grammar.
Princeton misquoted Taylor swift, and in turned wrecked the grammar.

The song actually makes correct use of the verb "are" though.

I'm actually floored by the fact that The Princeton Review of all people (who, IIRC actually puts out the SAT, too) didn't properly research this and ended up making this huge of a goof.
Like, props to them for trying to use lyrics from music as a good example of grammar review, but whaaaaat

I'm wondering what the file types for this game's models and textures. I'm specifically looking for the level tileset models, along with Kirby's player model (and the alternate colors). Those key chain models would be really nice, too. Anybody know if it's possible to get the models, textures, sound effects... or really anything out of this game?

Hey guys it's me luigixhero I mean't to join along time ago but really never had a reason to until now.

I like to learn how to rip everything so I know how to rip:

3DS models and textures, Music
.
DS music* and models.

Mario 64 Music*

Sonic games (SMPS) music*

*I can also convert these to midi Big Grin

I can also work well with Game Maker and recently got into using unity.

I also hack NSMBDS, Sonic 1,2, and Mario 64.

The first thing I plan on doing is posting the rest of the tile sets from NSMBDS here.

The Legend Zelda: Zero Quest[WIP]

Hey! I haven't posted here in a while because I've at hard work on various projects(and trying to figure out what to actually sprite), but this is what I've mainly been working on lately.

It's a fangame, made using Game Maker Studio!
But this one is based on the first Zelda on the NES, and is also a 2D platformer(not like Zelda 2, though).

Besides having most stuff from the NES game, here's a short list of the current features:

- Almost everything changed to work in a platformer.
- New graphics almost all made by me!
- Stuff from newer Zelda games, like the Master Sword(it's not actually a remake of the NES game)
- 2 Player Splitscreen
- 3 Playable characters including an unlockable one
- Music from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask because I can't find an arranged Zelda 1 soundtrack.
- Some other stuff I can't remember
- No maps whatsoever (sorry)
- Playable Zelda!

The story is almost exactly the same as Zelda 1's, except Zelda is not captured because she's playable this time.

Since I don't have a demo or anything yet(last one I released on a different forum is super outdated), you can check out these screenshots.

Also some animations from the game.


The demo is getting close to complete, but there's still a lot of things that need to be added, mainly the path to the first dungeon and fixing sounds/music. It's progressing really well, though.

On this forum, spam is the catch-all excuse for closing down anything not approved of by the afore mentioned pair of administrators. There is no flexibility, and every thread that borders on frivolous is shut down, or at the very least requires direct administrator approval before it can run. It's not entirely unreasonable for administrators to exercise  this authority, but it is not the conditions I wish to operate under, so I'm leaving. 
Dazz, if you don't want to run a forum, don't run a forum, shut the place down. Move the social forums to VGFacts. Nobody wants to be a on a forum that's only left open out of spite. There's also the fact that a guy who can't draw or sprite is head of a place that makes sprites and artwork,  you say you don't like humor, but you created some hilarious irony.

On a more positive note, I would like to thank and say farewell to all the awesome people that were and are on this forum, who have really helped with my art. Chris2balls, you were one of the first people to give me good critique on my sprites. You and Metaru were my idols when I first came here, and a large source of my inspiration to improve as an artist. Vipershark and Petie, even though I'm pretty irritated with both of you for jumping to conclusions and not really respecting me or my opinions,  I would like to thank you both for helping me with my computer problems when I was having issues. Kosheh and Razz, I'm also grateful to you guys for that. Skype pals, you're all awesome and we're still all good chums, even those of you against my doing this. We will be in touch. Everyone else, it's been great.

Gors, we could have been friends if you weren't a stubborn narrow minded poop.

I'll still be around sometimes to check stuff out when Skype people link me here, but I don't intend to post ever again, goodbye all.

Help with extracting Sonic racing transform file

I have been at the a while and found out that the GameData.M00 can be extracted some how, But I don't know what kind of program I could extract it from to extract the 3d models. If anybody knows PLEASE PLEASE let me know.

I have recently found out about the site and I'm loving the sprites. I am planning on using some on a Unity project, but I'm encountering a problem. Whenever I slice the sprites sheet there the background color stays on it. So I was hoping if someone would tell me a way to make sprite's backgrounds transparent.
