Hello and such. Firstly I'd just like to give a big thanks for the voice resources this website provides, as they will help a lot for a non-specific video project I am creating. As thanks I want to contribute a bit by uploading voice lines that I've converted myself. Here's hoping I don't screw anything up. Wheee.

Adult female black widow spider questions.

#1: How many deaths that you know of (links are okay to post if the websites are completely safe to visit) are there after Thursday February 12, 1987 due to a single venomous bite by an adult female black widow spider?

#2: Like #1: but more than one venomous bite.

#3: Why exactly is a venomous bite by an adult female black widow spider bite much more serious in the left neck artery than in the arm?

When i try to load certain models into 3ds max (Some examples include ones uploaded to the model resource, princess peach from MK8, dillon from dillon's rolling western, and the ashley trophy from SSBWIIU) the entire model is horribly warped and broken, this doesnt happen in blender and it only happens to certain models. What's causing this/How can i fix it/Is this even normal?

Is my ripping technique bad

Ok so I am trying to rip resources from a NES game called Arkista's Ring. To get the right palette I converted it to a gba rom, using one of the programs in the link below.

http://emu.gbxemu.com/nes/

Then I ripped the tiles and maps using visual boy advance. Finally I edit them to fix any minor errors that visual boy has when ripping. So my question is, could this techinque produce a bad rip?

Guide on getting Final Fantasy models:

Requires; Tinke, MKDS Course Modifier, a Hex Editor

Step 1: Unpack the textures and models you want from your ROM
[Image: cHSJrX7.png]

Step 2: Extract the unpacked files
[Image: 1qhUWXP.png]

Step 3: Rename the ntxp.lz to .nsbtx and .nmdp.lz to .nsbmd
[Image: IrQRxDY.png]

Step 5: Open up MKDS Course Modifier and go into Tools > Nitro System > NSBMD > NSBMD + NSBTX ->. This'll allow you to get the model with textures.
[Image: DnzrBPA.png][/img][/img]

Getting sprites using DICE

I attempted to get sprites using screencaps of games in DICE (Discrete Integrated Circuit Emulator, emulates non-digital arcade games/arcade games without microprocessors). However, it seems the sprites often aren't always identical, depending on when you capture them. I was specifically trying the game Steeplechase (which uses a ROM to store sprites). Any ideas?

Ripping Arcade Games? (JJBA;HoTF)

Hey TSR, it's been a while.

I was wondering what are the traditional methods of ripping from arcade games. More specifically CPS-3 games.

I usually use Kawaks for all my arcade ripping needs but since it's a CPS-3 game, it won't run it. I'm using Final Burn Alpha to run the game (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage of the Future) but it keeps crashing.

I found the debug menu in the game so ripping the animations should be a matter of disabling layers but I have no idea how to do that in FBA or even MAME for that matter.

Most guides online are not very helpful so any help would be awesome.

Needing crits and help.

Arkista's Ring Small Improvements Hack

Basically a hack to the NES game Arkista's Ring to make some small improvements. The improvements include better palettes, better sprites, and trying to make the game look a little bit more accurate to the box art. The last one isn't really something NES games are known for, but I like the box art for this game.

Here is my improved portrait of Christine. The screenshot was taken in VirtualBox emulating ReactOS running FCEUX 2.2.

Monsta's Custom Sprite dump

Hi everyone! I'm a spriter who was on the Metal Slug Database (before enomosiki disappeared...) and now I reside on SpriteWars. I'm kinda trying to find out if anyone from the MSDB is still here. Enough of that though. Here's my work. Credit to ASCAWR for most of the weapons, and someone who's name escapes me for the original space shuttle. Everything else is custom. A lot of the sprites look metal slug sized, and that's because they were the references I used (typical reference for human sprites most of the time!).

IMPORTANT!!! Do not steal these. If you rework them, give me credit for the base.

This is a garage sheet of custom vehicles. I was taking requests, and I still am! If you want me to add a vehicle or a number of vehicles, just comment below. These are free use. Credit is appreciated, but not necessary.

These are United Space Command (That's right, USC. Not UNSC) sprites inspired by Brink of Alienation. Purely customized. The pistol and knife are custom, the carbine was made from the ASCAWR sheet. These are free use. Credit is appreciated, but not necessary.

Task Force 100 (Also known as Task Force X) sprites. This is my faction in the SpriteWars Global Campaign. I promised I'd make it possible to make millions of different combo's for my sprites. Give credit if you use these!

And now, my alien faction. The Kaithe! They're purely good guys. Why? They just are. they're aliens, not humans. Credit to ASCAWR for the sniper, and the carbine I reworked. The energy machete, flash launcher and the pistol are made by me. Give credit if you use these!

American Airlines?? US SpaceWays anyone? I forget who made this original space shuttle design. The only thing I did was paint it. This is NOT a sprite of mine, just a bit of a recolor. (It was free use when I found it. If someone stole this from you, it was not me!)

A Zumwalt Class Guided Missile Destroyer. Credit to MikeMurdock for the lower part of the hull. Give credit if you use this!

Intrepid Class Assault Interdictor Frigate. Space battles anyone?? I made this 100% custom from scratch. Give credit if you use this!

And now, a bunch of military vehicles. V-22 Osprey, MRAP, JLTV, M1 Abrams, GCV, F/A-18D Super Hornet and an M1129 Stryker Mortar Carrier. Completely custom designs. The M2HB and M240 are from the ASCAWR sheet (Side note! Please don't be offended by the confederate flag that can be put on the MRAP, it was a Dukes of Hazzard joke. I'm not racist!). Give credit if you use these!

And here's a few backgrounds to toss at ya. I made these from some stuff I ripped (and also one is purely custom). These are free use. Credit is appreciated, but not necessary.

DK: Jungle Climber Diddy Kong problems

I'm using MKDS Course Modifier to convert .nsbmd to .obj. I've successfully converted all the event character models except for Diddy Kong. More accurately, while it succeeds in converting the model, when it tries to convert the texture to .png, it crashes. So I'm left with a textureless model.

Here is an archive with all Diddy Kong-related files.

Needing help for Half-Life mod.

Hello. My name is Epicnoob, part of the EpicGrungeon Team. My friend and I started planning for a mod named Half-Life: Science Team back in June, and came up with ideas until we put it on hold. The reason? We didn't know how to program, draw, or other skilled things. A few days ago, we came up with looking on forums. Now we need help.

So I'm going to list who we need and who's taken, also what you're going to do.

Resources/Sound Mixer [Adds two sounds together, also finds models ETC.] [Taken by Epicnoob]
Voice Actor [Voice acts extra voice clips if no clips are found of it.] [Taken by Degrungeon, my friend. If voices sound bad we may need more.]
Programmer [Codes in things that will need to be in game, also finds scripts and adds them to things, ETC.]
Modeler [Models characters, weapons.]
Artist [Draws textures, the logo of the mod, other things. If wanting to can draw logo of EpicGrungeon.]
Mapper [Creates all maps and events.]

Please either Gmail or reply, if you reply then I will ask you to post your experience on Gmail.

If you're wondering, we WILL work on more stuff. We're planning to make more mods like Half-Life 2: GoldSource, which is Half-Life 2 recreated in the GoldSource engine. Maybe even we'll make a game.

Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon Sprite Request

Yes, it's a bit of a strange one, given that it's based on a character from a non sprite based game. But either way, I'd really like a sprite version of the Tough Possessor from Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. Like a custom sprite set based on the boss from this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXVej7fJfbg

The reason is because the character is a boss in my upcoming SMW hack, and while I can probably get the sprite coded, it needs graphics.

So yeah, basically that ghost thing and the normal knights, in a custom, 16 bit style that somewhat resembles Super Mario All Stars would be nice. Cause it's one of the last custom sprite sets I need for the game.

Hai. I'm LambLovesLemons, and I'm new to this magical place. I've been wanting to join here for a while, but I never got the chance. I've always been interested in doing sprite art, so I can't wait to try my hardest, and get feedback to get better at it. I hope I will be in this wonderful community for a long time. Wink
