So now that us 3ds plebs not on 9.2 can finally dump files thanks to neobrain's "Braindump" homebrew app, could somebody help figure out the .bch.lz format? Ohana3ds rebirth still hasn't figured it out fully and most of the characters/enemy models/textures are broken when loaded/exported, some maps currently work with Ohana3ds rebirth

Hello all members, is me again! I am sure everyone is wondering why there is not Halloween event this year. You should know that is not lost, is just... different.

The kind of different I can not say. Is more like, instead of now, is about past. Old, not new. Cow, not kebab. Is hard to describe exactly.

I hope everyone is understand. If not, you will seen soon enough. Is not long before the candles are lighted and things are become impaled clear.

Hello everyone! I'm new here (For quite some time now but because I didn't have any time I haven't been on here much. Yay school assignments.) and I figured I'd just introduce myself a bit. I like playing games (Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and such. Not everyone would call them legit games, but I don't care. Wink ) and, as said, I'm not around that much because I'm quite busy with school assignments and stuff. Cry

Problems loading 16bpp RGBA image data

So I'm playing with files from SmileBASIC. I have the default graphic sheet files exported and onto my computer. I was able to render the image data properly in Tile Molester, as it is 16bpp RGBA (5551) 2-dimensional image data. However, TM cuts off most of the last row, so I went to TiledGGD. I was able to get the full image to render, but the RGB palette is wrong for the file in TiledGGD.

What can be done about this?

EDIT: Derp, I had to use the Alpha settings in TiledGGD. Alpha location at end rendered everything perfectly.

How does one make proper rendered thumbnails?

I've noticed that whenever I submit a model, I tend to get the thumbnail changed. Am I doing something wrong?

For N64 models, I usually just render the model in kHED, because I feel like the primitive form of shading the software renders behaves more like how N64 games used shading by vertex, rather than thru dynamic shaders.

My only guess is that they don't have the background they use for model rips?

Spore Hero Arena (NDS) Models

Been awhile since I've been here, anyway, I've gotten a request to rip the models from Spore Hero Arena for the DS, So i took a peak inside the games files, and it looks like everything is in an Archive file with the extension .nitro_archive, not a .NARC Archive, but a .nitro_archive. I've looked everywhere for this, i had no luck. So hopefully, someone who has ripped models from DS games before can tell me how to crack into these .nitro_archive files, i would really like to use the models for SFM and other things. Thanks.

This isn't "ripping help." It's "submitting help." I tried uploading a .zip archive to the Sounds Resource and got the message "Error: Sound must be a zip archive." As stated, it IS a zip archive. What's wrong?

I really like drawing and animating, but I'm pretty bad about doing both consistently without being assigned something because reasons, so I'm not sure how much I'll end up posting here. ovo; At least now I'll have somewhere to dump game scribbles every so often, though, among other things.

Family Guy Desk Buddy Customs (back to work)

I'm getting back to working on custom-made sprites in the style of Family Guy: Desk Buddy. For example, look at this sprite animation WIP I did of Brian Griffin running. I did some tracing with Anime Studio Pro 8, unchecked the anti-aliasing, and did some anims in the Online Image Editor for this. These sprites are traced from eight frames of each of the two episodes, FG0705 - "The Man with Two Brians" (a.k.a. the one where Brian almost gets replaced) and FG1206 - "Life of Brian" (a.k.a. the one where Brian dies).

As you can see, I've edited the eyes to make it look like Brian isn't scared. Anyway, what do you think?

Smash U models (getting them animation ready)

YO! so I've been anticipating getting my hands on these models ever since I first saw screen shots for the game.  Now that we have them I've found they aren't quite the plug in play set up I was hoping for. I have made some headway to get one ready for an animation project that I have in mind ( the model is pikachu specifically) I was suprized to find when I opened the models that the first thing I was greeted with was this.  Ouch!

after sifting through all these polygons and such I found that the model was build with two body meshes. one for when the character hits the screen and one for everything else. There are mouth and nose meshes for all the facial expressions, only one of which had any kind of rig. which was terrible. never would have guessed that smash has no real facial expression animation way to cheap it out Nintendo! anyway the eyes also are set up similarly where every single eye position is on it's own plane with just the worst transparency set up I've ever seen. all this being said the Rig is nice, and the only thing I wish the body had was thumb bones, and some better finger tip controls but that's gonna take some work. I will say this the bump mapping is out of control.

after messing about I did get a pretty good result albeit it's still not ready to animate

I did have a better render that was kinda posed but that's stuck on my crap flip phone right now. 

I guess the real reason I opened this thread is that I am interested on how other people are organizing these smash meshes, and dealing with having separate mouth that you need to switch from and what not. I would like the hear what methods are being used to make these models a bit more animation friendly

Looking for the Sound Effects from FF4 Complete Collection, I've found two PAC files. It looks like one of them contain all the Sound Effects from the game and the other... well, I don't know, maybe dummy files, but I can't open them.

The last couple days, when I try to submit .zip archives I get "Error: Sheet must be an image or zip archive." As previously stated, they ARE zip archives. This happens on Spriters Resource and Sounds Resource at least, because those are the ones I tried recently, but probably also applies to the others.

ok, so for quite some time, i have for some unknown reasons had games from the games section of yahoo listed under 'my games' or 'my recommended games' on some of my yahoo emails.

firstly, i don't give a shit about them, i don't recall even sighing-up for them.

while so far this doesn't seem to be impacting me, i would prefer to have these removed, anyways...
even though i'm slowly migrating my crap to gmail and then will abandon my yahoo accounts ,and/or have them terminated.

however, it bugs me i have games i don't even recall buying/subscribing to listed on my emails.


Any idea how this happened, and more ideally, how to stop it completely, and remove the ones i already have?
I'm not planning on playing them, I have enough games to play as-is.

I've searched multiple times and simply cannot find any answers.
Figured maybe someone here might know what's happening.

My only guesses is someone using my email address(es) after somehow discovering them, or having hacked my accounts, but I don't seem to have any way of proving either. And ofc, there's always yahoo being yahoo and forcing me into crap I do not want, and adding to the list of reasons people like me are trying to LEAVE.
