So as some of you might know I personally don't really keep up with gaming news or rumours or whatever, but I didn't see anything about this already and I figure most people here would be interested. A friend showed me this, unfortunately so far this photo is the only thing about it:

I have a SM3DW demo game I have developed, there are 5 levels in 3D.
Developed in Unity Engine 5 with newgen lighting(GI), PBR shaders from original textures (dif+nrm+spc)and high graphic water and original sounds ! :

Hello !

I have extracted a Shin'en game (Fast Neo and Art of Balance WII U) and I have found Big Grin  .w3d files for models I suppose and .tex files for textures. See my attachment (zipped).
.zip   levels.zip (Size: 21.11 KB / Downloads: 4)
I've seen in a website that Shin'en use a special game engine they heve developed("to use all the Wii U puissance" Rolleyes ).

How to open it ?! Ouch!

REASON : The game have awesome graphics with a very small size:

UV Mapping problem with models from Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash

Hi! I recently got the .bfres model of Rosalina and other characters from Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash. So everything is fine, the textures, the model itself... except the UV Mapping.

Look at the face (specially the mouth)... I tried to fix it manually and it worked, but still it isn't perfect. So does anyone have any idea to fix these issues I'm having with the UV mapping? Oh, and BTW, this is in 3DS Max. If you need any other information, tell me. Thanks in adavance Smile

Hey Guys, My Talking Tom is powered by Unity.

Tutorials:

Models:
1. Open the Unity Studio
2. Go to Open File
3. Click resources.assets
4. Click this 3d name
5. Click Select 3D File
6. Go to this folder, Save as .fbx
7. Go to Microsoft Visual Studio
8. Click Save a (Name).fbx as.
9. Save as .dae
10. Go to Blender
11. Import .dae
12. Click Smooth
13. Export .obj

Textures:
1. Open to PVRTexTool
2. Click Save Image
3. Go to this folder Save as .png

and That's All! Wink

UV Mapping textures from Crossy Road

Hey Guys, This Textures are small The UV Mapping is pretty wierd, so Go to fix the textures.


This Texture Problems looks bad like this:

1. Open Paint.NET as .png
2. Zoom 400% or 600% or 800% or 1200%
3. Select All
4. Rotate 180
5. Flip Horizontal
6. Press Imp Pnt
7. New Image
8. Paste this image
9. Click Zoom
10. Select this texture
11. Paste this image again
12. Recut
13. Click Save
14. Go to Blender or 3ds Max or Cinema 4D or Others.

This Textures looks good like this:

Present-Day Anime Animation

I'll admit; I'm not a big fan of Anime, but there is something about it that I've noticed and I want your opinion on it.

Have any of you noticed that most Animes nowadays seem rather...bland? As far as animation goes, characters don't seem to be as expressive as they did back in the 80's to the early 2000's (In other words, they don't do the signature exaggerated faces that Anime is well known for.), and the atmosphere is kinda dull and too real-world-like.

What do you guys think? Has Anime lost it's charm, or am I not looking hard enough?

Wonder Momo game doesn't have sprites of Wonder Momo?

I'm using Unity Studio to extract sprites from the Android game Wonder Momo: Typhoon Booster, and I noticed something strange: the program could find no sprites of Wonder Momo herself. Plenty of enemies and NPCs, but the player character is missing. I've checked both the APK (which is just generic Unity logos and stuff) and the OBB (which is where the actual game data and sprites are stored) and she's still absent. What should I do?

Make suggestions for stuff for me to replace. Models are the main thing, but I can do sprites, textures, and sounds too Wink

It will come with an optional config tool as a batch file that automatically install everything with configuration options including only installing the items that you want. Obviously since it is a batch file anyone can view the source code. Will also make one for mac, which will probably work on Linux since they're practically the same but I will need testers.

Also, for character mods I'll replace viewmodels too.

Current status of what I'm replacing:

Scout=Sora from Kingdom Hearts. Will replace all of the scout's voice lines. (wisdom and valor drive forms for teams, potentially anti with a tint red/blu for uber)

All scout melee weapons=Keyblades

I may need to replace the scout's animations for these.

Demoman=Link. It's obvious. Vote on which version also, the config tool will allow deciding if you want Demo's voice, link's voice for combat and stuff, or for only link's voice to be used with none of demo's voice.

Eyelander=Master sword duh

Splendid Screen=Hylian shield. Will be easily swappable with the other shields using the config tool.

Engineer=Eggman maybe? Would be pretty darn funny. Let me know what you think. If I do this I would probably replace the sentry with one of his robots. There will be a rare chance of him randomly saying YOOOOSH upon building a teleporter/dispenser/sentry

I also plan to make various announcer voices available. Sonic will be the first but I'm open to suggestions.

Anything else you would like to see? let me know.

hello vgr!!! i realize not everyone celebrates Christmas but exchanges gifts anyhow soooo i kept it open ended. even if you didn't get anything you can still like, share your plans and stuff i guess.

(also I realize this is probably an RL forum thread but uhm, please find it in your hearts, Dear Mods, to move the thread in 2016. I posted it here for visibility)

so, vgr, two big questions:
- what'd you do to celebrate your holiday?? anything Black Friday onward is fair game (scoring sick deals is pretty festive) and I guess up until New Year's 2016 is fine too
- did you get anything cool this year from relatives this month (or Santa/Hanukkah Harry/Grinch)?? feel free to make lists (I know how much you all like making lists) and pictures are definitely encouraged

- bonus round: did you EAT ANYTHING COOL when spending time with your relatives??? max festive points if you post pictures of the food (might be hard tho when no phones are allowed at the table)(which is why you get max festive points)

- Artificial intelligence with the principal problem : the ANTIGRAVITY ! Shocked
- Controles upgrade : it's instable caused by the ANTIGRAVITY  Shocked

Genesis Soundchip=Rock Music?

Before I start this thread, I'd like to wish everyone on this site a Merry Christmas. Hope your holiday was filled with cheer and presents. Big Grin

Now, on with the thread:

As a fan of video game music, I've listened to the sounds of both the SNES and the Genesis and IMO they have their strengths and weaknesses. However, when I go to different forum sites discussing which soundchip is superior, the one thing people say is "The Genesis's soundchip is great for composing rock music". Huh?

I could never understand how that's possible. Sure, techno music I can get by, but...rock? How is rock music better-sounding on the Genesis than on the SNES? From what I listened to, it sounds horrible-especially the 'guitars'.

IMO, as far as video game rock music goes, I believe it sounds better (And more realistic) on the SNES.
