Ripping PS2 game models

Hi there, I did a quick search of this board and didn't find a tutorial for how to rip models from PS2 games. I would love to contribute, especially to the Radiata Stories page which only has one model :<

Can anyone post a link or let me know how I'd be able to add to this wonderful community? Thanks.

If anyone is intrested in ripping, I'd like to request the ADVENT Stun Lancer model

Could someone expand on this sprite sheet?

I'd like floating sprites (idle animation), flying sprites (movement from point A to point B any direction in 2D space), and talking animation. That's all, really, since I don't really intend on this character being anything more than a friendly NPC.

Mr. C's Models! (Really)

Ah, The Models Resource! I've been wanting to do stuff for this place for quite some time... Well, now the time has come! Yep, you're old pal Mr. C has been looking to rip some models! Thing is, because I have instant approval, I can't submit then wait to see if something's wrong with the model in question via a PM from the staff. So, before I dive into this magical new world, I want to make sure I'm doing this right! So, I'll check here, and you guys can tell me if you're experiencing problems with the models. Below is a link to download a ZIP folder with the model, in .obj format, and all the textures needed for it!

The first model submission I've ever done? The Mad Piano from Super Mario 64. Yeah. THAT piano. Hey, someone had to do it, right? Anyway, in regards to the textures, I've made them look exactly as they do in the game. I ran into a few hurdles, but nothing I couldn't handle. The thing I wanted to mention was, the piano's keys look like they're slightly misaligned with the keys texture on the sides. That's how it looks in the game.

Anyway, here you go:
Super Mario 64 - Mad Piano

And here's a picture I took in Noesis of how it looks with me, and how it SHOULD look to you:
This picture, right here.

Anyway, I hope it works, and if it does, I'll upload it right away, and upload some other things too! If it doesn't, or if I've done something I shouldn't have, please tell me the problems you're having, and I will do my best to resolve the issue! Thanks!

This is Ken's normal costume from Street Fighter V. I have submitted him, and he is currently waiting to be approved.. I will continue to rip models, and anyone who wants to help can ask for the model files.

Thanks to loriscangini from deviantART for helping me with textures! Look in the comments of http://loriscangini.deviantart.com/art/S...-591574361 to see how to color the textures.

Pokémon Generations by Pokémon

A random question just out of curiosity:

Completely ignore all the game mechanics, characters, maps, gyms, graphics, et cetera that each generation introduced.

What I want to know is what Pokemon generation you consider the best, based SOLELY on the actual pokemon that were INTRODUCED in that generation.

If you're feeling particularly bold, you can even go so far as to order them all from best to worst.

Klonoa for the Next Smash Bros!

Alright, I know I already have another thread of "Klonoa for Smash Bros" and all that, but this one here is the updated version.

I decided to place the link instead of re-updating the other one, as like I said, I updated it.

So in the updated version, you will notice a poll asking you whether judging by the statistics, moveset and frame-data, what will Klonoa fit in the area tier(Low tier, Mid tier, etc.)

This is the final update. I swear it.

Hi! My name is Erik!

Hi! I'm Erik, the Hard-Core Nintendo Gamer / Fan!  I have been a Nintendo Fan since the days of the NES.  Even though my Mother & Late Father Taught Classical Music at the Mount Vernon City Schools, my all-time favorite music is video game music. I've been downloading video game music and edit them by amplification & Length so I may enjoy that music when I work on my computer or other things when I'm not playing my games.  I don't know how to upload music & sound, so I haven't been uploading period.  When comes to length, I am currently creating 3 different versions of each game music album.  The first version either loops twice before fading or--if it is shorter than 2 minutes--I fade it out when I feel it has looped enough.  The Second version of each album is the same music, but plays about twice as long as the first version, except for fanfares which I only have play once in all three versions due to it not looping & how annoying it would get if I did loop fanfares.  The third version has the game music looping for at least 30 minutes or more before fading.  I also have been doing something a little different in my game music than other people.  When I make a game album that is a complete gamerip, I often make it so if the player had to re-enter an area in the game itself, or if a different area the player entered would play the same music as a previous area, I would make certain music in my game albums play that music theme again in the part of the album in the order of the music in which it would be played when playing the game itself.  Games like Pokemon however, I may repeat the various Trainer / Wild Pokemon Battle Themes where I see fit.  That may be annoying to people who only want the music played once, so that is another reason I haven't been uploading my game music.  However, because I am continuing to add gamerips to my collection, the editing process is never ending.  And sometimes I have been known to do something I call "Soundtrack Hopping," which means I would start / continue to edit a different soundtrack before finishing the first one.  I also like to add the sound effects at the end of each Soundtrack, if and when I can get them.  Sorry if I rambled to long, and thank you for reading this post!

Just Curious...

For the longest time I've been trying to get the spites with the correct colors.  The Spriter's Resource is great for posting / downloading sprites from various games, but there have been times when the colors have not matched other identical game areas, such as different Pokemon Center Interior Sprites in Pokemon Ruby / Sapphire / Emerald (GBA), even if the same person ripped both of the areas.  There have also been times when game sprites from games for the NES were not the colors they should be.  I'm not trying to complain or start any flames, but I am puzzled why this is happening.  Sorry to be a bother...

SMRPG NES Bootleg Thing

So I was super bored the other night and ended up doodling these.

They're supposed to look as if someone had made a bootleg version of SMRPG for the NES.

The Mario ones on the left were my first attempt where I was trying to make them look more like the sprites from the original game. Then I changed the hat to look more like traditional Mario 'cuz I thought it looked better.

Anyways, what do you think? I'll probably make some full sheets if people are interested.

Honestly if people were interested I wouldn't mind making this a group project to do every character/enemy from the game (in which case I call dibs on finishing these three). Dunno if there would be enough interest for that though.

I've been fascinated by the idea of this project and because I wanted to be more active on this forum, I've decided to try my hand on making a character in this style. And I decided to use the one I'm more known for outside Tumblr.

Shading is always been an issue with me but I tried my best to try to emulate the style used.

I'll hopefully try to add more and more importantly improve issues when I get the time to.

So I noticed we had some models from this game on the site. Unfortunately none of the character I'm trying to get. I need the model of Volug for a personal project of mine in the near future...but I can't figure out anything with the formats. Even the TPL's here are different from normal format.

Struggling with ripping Punch-Out Wii

$

Hello everyone, this is my first time attempting to rip audio from an .ISO so bare with my lack of knowledge.

Here's the situation: Punch-Out!! uses Wwise audio for all it's music/sound effects and I'm having difficulty extracting/converting them for proper playback. I'm specifically trying to extract the audio for Von Kaiser and Super Macho Man. In the wwiseaudio folder there's a TON of .wav files and a series of two .bnk files for each character. I've managed to extract one of the .bnk files for Von Kaiser using a program called RavioliGameTools (bnkextr.exe didn't work so I looked for alternatives) and I've managed to extract 92 files in .wav format. Now, these appear to be the same .wav files that are also in the wwiseaudio folder because they're not playable in WMP. Doing my research they're apparently .wem files but since they're older they use the .wav format.

Now you're probably thinking, what's the problem again? Well, when I use a converter (specifically Video Game Sound Converter) it will just stop converting the sound files once it reaches a certain point.

http://i.imgur.com/OPtqw25.png

Remember those .wav files I mentioned earlier inside the wwiseaudio folder? They also have this issue. Some will convert and others will just hold up the conversion. Now digging around I thought maybe it was because the .wav files should be converted to .wem files, so I tried changing the file names and then put them through the converter but instead I just get errors. It's also not that the conversions aren't working either, because the files that it does end up converting work.

So I really don't know what the issue is. I feel like I'm very close to solving this. I know someone somewhere had managed to figure this out, because there's a proper rip of all the music from the game on khinsider. It is do-able, to say.

Thank you in advance.

Before i start i would just like to state that i give full credit to those from DA.
Because i don't however have their permission to redistribute ,Don't count on
a release anytime soon until all permissions have been granted for release.
Shy  ... Anyways, These are ripped heads and i decided to re-create some
of the outfits since they're not T-Posed when ripped from the game. I would
like to thank those who helped me. I was able to work with blender through some
things. I would like to post the stages on here though? How can i go about doing
this? The stages follow: School , School Hallway , Bedroom , and what looks like
a locker room. Removing the people is easy as cake. I will post screen shots later
if needed.

Also @ a certain admin , You know who you are. You didn't have to be rude.
Please don't think i didn't see what you posted on my thread before you locked
it. It's taking everything i have not to name-drop you cause i'm actually pretty
irritated right now. I'm calling this out because i feel my work was slandered by you.
Next time i will not leave a link and yes it is my fault for deleting the pictures and i do
apologize for that. I didn't take the time to find another picture and that was the quickest way
however that does not give you the right to slander my work , calling it a
"Trainwreck". How dare you. Admin or not , This is slander. I have a feeling
i am going to have serious issues with you in the future hence making this
a un-enjoyable place for me.  I feel as though we will never get along and it's
going to take a few bans for a breakthrough.  Rolleyes

Famicom Detective Club II sprites

$

Hey folks.
I was curious the other day, so I checked how many sprites were uploaded from this gameTurns out no one's started yet, so now's a good time as any.

For some background info, Famicom Detective Club II is a Super Famicom game that was released in '98. It wasn't sold as a traditional cartridge, instead having to be downloaded onto a re-writable "Nintendo Power" flash cart. (No, not the magazine)
The game itself is a remake of the 1989 version.

People who have played Phoenix Wright (or similar mystery adventure games) should be familiar with its style of gameplay. Most of the sprites are character portraits, items, and backgrounds.

So anyway, all that shit aside, I started ripping some Ayumi portraits. This is just a start though, it's a big unorganized mess and some things are incomplete.

Here's a to do list for some of the main characters-
1. The Protagonist
2. Ayumi Tachibana
3. Hitomi
4. Detective Utsugi
5. Principal Urabe
6. Tatsuya Hibino
7. Tetsuharu Komada
8. Things like the opening cutscene, various backgrounds, etc

After that more minor stuff can be ripped.
