Zelda Ocarina of Time Resources

Hello all,

This is for those of you who don't like using LemD3D8.dll, or who'd rather use raw resources.
These are extracted files, not ripped. All files (with exception of the textures) were extracted and renamed by me. I only renamed the maps.

Orcarina of Time zmap files: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1Jl50...GFNWVJjQW8
Orcarina of Time textures (not mine): https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1Jl50...zZYcmZBNlE
- From this site: https://sites.google.com/site/sanguinett...exture-rip
Orcarina of Time zobj files: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1Jl50...lV2aWhuYTg

Majora's Mask zmap files: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1Jl50...1lnM1BrczQ
Majora's Mask zobj files: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1Jl50...3g2UWNvd2c
You can use a N64 emulator to dump the textures

The Blender zmap import script: https://code.google.com/archive/p/sods-b.../downloads
The Blender zmap import script is having issues importing Majora's Mask maps. I'll do more testing later. I haven't tested the objects.
Version 4 doesn't seem to work for me, but version 3 works. I can't seem to get the textures to work properly upon import, so I added an OoT texture dump archive that should help with reassigning textures. Again, OoT models import fine, but the MM models are missing parts.

You need to make the characters T-Pose by yourself. For importing objects, sometimes you need to add missing textures.
Here's a Youtube video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cETdDmCKIg You can probably assign the texture after import, vice making the zdata file manually

Nice to meet you guys. My name is Rufas. Just now, when I am browsing spriters-resource . com , I noticed you guys doesn't have any sprites for SaGa Frontier 2 (for PlayStation). Well, I managed to decode some sprites directly from the game files. Do you guys want them? And, how do I post new sprites to the forum? Is there a post format I need to follow...?

Thanks!

Ripping from phantasy star 2 portable?

Hey. To start off sorry if this is in the wrong section but i'm kinda asking for an alternative here. I love phantasy star 2 portable. It's pretty cool but i think it would be even cooler is a knew how to rip the protag in T pose. Personally i'm a bit fashion crazy atm and would like to rip the outfits but i don't know how to accomplish this using ppsspp. If it helps ,the emulator runs flawlessly even with cutscenes and i've never dropped below 60fps. How can i go about ripping from the game, basically, the right way using ppsspp? Because i hate ripping when they're not in T-pose  Rolleyes It lowkey becomes a bit pointless unless you're ripping stages/scenes/rooms. Also to add,i use the java psp emu to rip atm and i hate it. It doesn't rip in
T-pose. Just everything as is.  Very Sad

What i've tried
==============
- Noesis : But it doesn't support Phasntasy Star or Phantasy star 2 portable.
- Ninja Ripper : But it won't work on the emulator...uhhh..period.

I'm trying to rip sprites from this game called Sonic Wings Limited for the Arcade. I tried the graphic viewer from mame, but I only shows the palette of the game. I also tried ZInc but that didn't work also. Can some one please help me?

Changing the submitter name on my old rips?

Is .blend a acceptable file format?

As I know .DAE, .SMD, and .OBJ are the most common files for rips.

But I'm wondering if .blend is allowed, as it seems that it's the most stable for vert shaded models with tons of clamping.

Zelda Ocarina of time 3D & Majora's Mask 3D (Nintendo 3DS) Resources

Hello all,

I just extracted all the resources from Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D and Majora's Mask 3D. This took me a long time to complete, and a lot of research haha. These are the European versions, which include translations for English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, and Italian. The maps are located in the scenes folder, as .zsi files. These are the entire rom dumps, so they include everything. Sounds, models, textures, etc. I will work on [0487] A Link Between Worlds next.

[1185] Majora's Mask dump: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1Jl50...FFETUowSDA (538MCool
[1168] Ocarina of Time dump: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1Jl50...VhBbUJsaWs (285MCool
The program to view and export the models: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1Jl50...FdfZUVmT2M

Examples of maps in the scenes folder:
Majora's Mask: z2_00keikoku_0_info.zsi (This is Termina Field)
Ocarina of Time: spot00_0_info.zsi (This is Hyrule Field)
Ocarina of Time: spot01_0_info.zsi (This is Kakariko Village)

I haven't taken a look at the characters, but they should load fine with rigging.
Just import one of the .zsi files into N3DSCmbViewer, you can also dump / export the Collada DAE file in the menu. This exports textures too.

Hi!~ So cool to be among the greats! I like the direction the people on this site is going! Oh, by the way call me Robert. Now where was I? Oh, right! Who said your imagination has to stop at the end of the game?! You can take it further and inspire someone else! Original game creators done that for us through one game or another. Yet something inside beckons us for more! That's where you guys come in. Heck, that's where I come in too! Believe me, I'm just as imaginative as you guys are minus the - VGresources (ba-dum-tiss) Rawr~.

Also, music is the biggest driving factor in my choice of VG or V entertainment. Pretty ladies and over-the-top action are closely tied for 2nd. Back to music; it's strongest influences on me traces back to Genesis and Dreamcast days. My favorite PS1 game that I played 2 days ago is MTV Music Generator (currently have 49 experimental tracks. 2/3 was in my portable player for years). I do some vegas, audacity combining of random music and audio and sometimes video that I find and fuse them beautifully. I keep alot of Capcom and fighting games from PS2 for the music. The only, I repeat, ONLY movie that I have is Jet Li's 'Black Mask'. It's not only for the over-the-top kung fu, it's not only for the good music in it, but it's for the kung fu in CADENCE with the good music! Truly a priceless masterpiece with creative minds backing it Cry. You guys should take a break from your VGresource projects and watch it free online. Speaking of cadence, I still have 'Bloody Roar 3' for PS2 - you guys should also youtube it's intro that's done to the music. It's so cool. I think that sums up my personality on said topics; If it's got good music, I'm keeping it. If it's got a good sequence and/or action, I'm adding good music to it. If the actions' tempo matches with a few tracks, then that's an opportunity I'm not going to pass up!

It would be great to converse with a bunch of like-minded individuals and know who they are on the the welcome thread but eventually I would like to get down to business with great help (my zeal in the music screenplay department demands it!) That said, the project I'm currently working on is from a game, 'Space Channel 5'. I swear every time I hear a new song I like, this game instantly pops up in my mind - can this new track go with it? It's basically 'Guitar Hero' but with dance moves and good music also. It's for the Dreamcast and the sequel for the PS2 but I don't have the Dreamcast anymore and never played PS2 version. My specific task is basically setting the VG footage (mainly from youtube) with requested or some of my own favorite tracks. The issue is; I wouldn't even be on this thread if the game basically had the option to mute the music volume but it makes sense that you can't since it's a music/timing game where you need the music to progress. Meaning I would be re-adding all audio sxf and voices from scratch over some muted youtube video of it. A contributor on the site uploaded PS2 and Game Boy Advance audio of it - a small part of it. The GBA audio is crap and I can't do the game justice with it. I really like the quality of the PS2 version which is probably the same as DC version of it but it's only in-game audio of the main character voice. Although that was the top priority audio I needed, I could sure use some sound effects and other character voices, preferably the Dreamcast version or PS2 version. I like Dreamcast best. I don't know where to start for help so I hope I get a lot of help and resources here. Until then, see you around, guys!

MFGG Affiliation?

MFGG and VR Resource have historically been affiliates and have linked to each other on the main site, but I cannot find a link to MFGG anywhere on the main site currently. Is The VG Resource still an affiliate with MFGG, and if so could you add a link to MFGG on the main site to show as such?

I am perfectly aware this game already has a sprite rip, but the sprites in question are for the Windows 95 256 Color Special Edition. It features better looking sprites than what was present in other versions, and I feel it should be ripped. I had actually been trying to rip the sprites from this game for a long while, but no such luck. While the sounds were in wav, and have been uploaded, the sprites seem to be in some unknown format. So if anyone can help me out here with ripping these sprites, that would be fantastic. For those who decide to take a look, here are the files in question: Link to all of the .ew files

It's been a long time, so lets make a new thread.

Tim the Flazo

Hi everyone, I've been coming on here for a while and decided it would be a good time to show off a game my friend are making in Unity. So without further ado, let me introduce you to Tim the Flazo!

Tim the Flazo is a 2D action-adventure platformer where you play as a fire cat travelling through the world seeking to restore balance to nature. The last of his kind, he must face off against the vicious Crozone and his Secret Squad who have corrupted the spirit guardian leading to the imbalance. Along the way he'll meet friends, rivals, and powerful deities that will help or hinder his efforts.

The game will feature things atypical of your usual SNES-inspired platformer - namely, your character can 'level up' and acquire new attacks, either temporarily or permanently. Likewise, the first five worlds are playable in any order, and the other levels will adjust in difficulty accordingly. So if you start with the grass world, the fire world will be a bit more difficult - but if you choose fire first, grass will be the more difficult of the two, with the others also ramping up in challenge.

Words can't do my concept justice, so please enjoy this mock magazine clipping I made that introduces the game much better:

And finally, here's a trailer we released just today for the game. Please give us your feedback, and don't forget to subscribe on YouTube!

Thanks everyone, I look forward to sharing more with you as it comes along, and I can't wait to see what you all think!

The models can already be extracted perfectly. The problem is the textures are swizzled like  supersmashbros wii utextures.  unfortunately, randomtalkingbush's Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - NUT to GTX does not work.

I need help converting .MOL files to something usable by modern 3D software like Unity and Blender.
(Yes, I did post a thread like this, but the information is very incomplete and nobody noticed it anyways)
The closest I've gotten was getting the mesh, and that's it. The UVs were all sorts of messed up, but I did finally find a way to extract .tex files.

It has been a while I last checked these forums.

Hey, I can't believe that it has been 7 years that I've originally registered to this website, it has been such a long time, and my last thread post being from 2013, wow.

I did however, posted a few things here and there to the main website last and current year, since now there's an actual submission system.

I've been doing so much random stuff along all this time, along with some game extraction, but I didn't had much intention of uploading everything (especially that I didn't knew that a program for making Sprite Sheets existed, I used to make manually or in .zips). I was doing random online contributions, like Game Wikis, which still involved part of game extraction and etc.

There are some games I wasn't able to finish all the sheets I originally wanted to (e.g.: Child of Light), and others being outdated as well, I have like millions of stuff I'd love to complete it in various websites but sometimes it feels way too much stuff :v

I sometimes end up uploading a few things, usually more obscure games or sometimes popular games that aren't in the website. Ended up uploading a few Taiko sheets simply because there was some Touhou elements on it. And the Heroes of the Storm sheets only because I started editing the Wiki along with (although, it's outdated right now, I need to update sometime or another).

Honestly, I have no idea what I want to receive from this post. Have been looking for some random threads and just felt like talking to some of the people again, I guess. I remember being in touch of this community when I was a teenager, years ago (complete with my broken English), it seems that the game ripping community has expanded quite a lot since then.

Still, I'm not really sure if I'll be able to return to be as active like before. Lots of random stuff that I do nowadays, along being busy in life itself, I suppose.

Well, I guess that's it. Just want to thank everyone for their contributions to the website in general and the team for still keeping this website awesome.

Peace out.

Receiving Updates? (RSS Feed)

So there's some sound pages of games I would like to track/subscribe for when new content is added, but I'm a little loss. In order to receive updates I need to subscribe to the RSS Feed of the certain page but what do I actually do with the RSS page? It's a page full of code which is not my area of expertise. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Any idea on how to open it in 3ds Max? I'm trying to open the Zelda Ocarina of Time backgrounds that were posted but the program always crashes.
