Picross e JTEX Files

I've been trying to use the two versions of Ploaj's jTex Tools to edit Picross e games, including translating the Club Nintendo Picross titles. But I'm not having luck seeing them at all. They did work with the sample files from those thread, so something about the Picross files must be different. I have some samples here if Ploaj or anyone else could take a look.

Hello everyone. After a long time (much bigger than I expected and like), I'm releasing the update 2.5.2 for this game.




What's new? It may seem like a simple update, but a lot of work has been done. The biggest news are:
  • - BALANCING. ALL characters were rebalanced - values of attack, defense, speed, combos and others were revised. Thanks to the large number of feedback I had with the SurveyMonkey questionnaire, gameplay videos and community help, I can say that tHE GAMING EXPERIENCE IS PRACTICALLY NEW. Characters that were not so well received before, like Emma Frost, were improved a lot and are way more useful now. Some bosses have been changed to be a bit easier, like Bowman and Hammer.

  • -NEW PLAYABLE CHARACTER - SPIDER-WOMAN. To add more female characters in the game, we chose to put Jessica Drew. But as a 2-in-1 character, you can almost count as 2 characters. It has two modes, which are selected depending on which color (clothes) you choose the character - the first 3 are the Poison mode while the others are the Web mode. Each mode has its advantages and disadvantages, with specials and different hypers. She was a very difficult character to program, I hope people like the result Smile Totaling 18 playable characters (counting the unlockables).

  • -OPTIMIZATION. Several game codes have been optimized. This has generated a game that consumes less memory and, even with more content, a smaller game. Unfortunately, due to technical limitations, the game no longer runs on WII and PSP, being a game for PC, LINUX and ANDROID from now on.

  • - GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS. Several improvements have been made in the game, such as a greater distinction between Hulk and GREEN Hulk, new animations and effects for various characters, new graphics and animations for scenarios. Many details have been added and even some easter eggs. Can you find them?

It has been a long work so far (it is 4 years since I started) and I do not have a specific date when I will finish this game due to the fact that my free time is, each year, scarcer. But it will be finished someday. I hope you continue to enjoy the result Smile

I heard that there are ways to rip from Sonic Unleashed but i tried searching as hard as i could online and especially on Sonic Retro but i cant find any information what so ever on how to do it. Is there anyone here that can give me info on how to rip from this game?

I'm pretty new with the 3D world so any help will be much appreciated.

I downloaded one of the 3D model on this site (The Model Resource).
On the zipped file there are two files .dae and .png
I tried to import the .dae on Blender and it came out fine.
My question is :
1. how do i put the color to the model. Do i use the .png file?
2. what is the use of the .png file? 

I would like to search for a tutorial but i don't know the right term to begin with.

Audio from Danganronpa Another Episode

Hi there, I've been trying to extract all of the audio files from Danganronpa Another Episode for a while now, and I can't seem to manage it. Right now, I've managed to reach the stage where I have the .AT9 files extracted, but I have no way of converting them into .wav or any other playable file. I tried to use the method that puggsoy suggested in this thread:

But when I open the AT9 files with the program, it does absolutely nothing. If I use the .bat file he suggested, a folder is created but there is nothing in it. Can anyone please help me figure this out? It's driving me nuts.

Okay, scratch that. Immediatly after I made this thread, I found a converter that works. Because of course I did.

The problem I'm having now is that I have alot of these AT9 files to convert, and I can only convert them one at a time. Could someone who is more script savvy than I am make a .bat or something that can automate this? Thank you.

Screensaver ripping problem.

Hey. I'm having trouble ripping graphics from a rare 1994 PC screensaver I found off the internet. For some reason, I can't access them (except for system icons on Disk 1.) Any help on extracting the others? (I'm deeply sorry for all these help topics.) (Also, the attachments are separated like this in .zips because putting them together goes beyond the file size required, and the .dsk file types were invalid.)

Hello,

I know I would have written at least 50 messages in order to make a request or commission on this forum and I apologize for not having done it. I'm not an english speaker and I'm really bad initiated to this langage (as a matter of fact it's a friend of mine who translate my messages for me), so it's really hard for me to participate. However, thanks to the models you put graciously on line I make 3D figurines, that's why I thank you for your job. I've seen models of Majora's Mask 3DS, I don't konw who took charge of it but thank you. Unfortunately, concerning bosses, there is only Gyorg which have been ripped. Is it possible for you to ripp the second boss : Goht ?

As far as I know, .sdfdata files are used for Ubisoft titles using the Snowdrop engine.

I have the files extracted, I just need help to  actually view/modify/edit them, if possible. Noesis does not happen to have a script for them, it seems.

Final Fantasy Mobius Ripping

Hey, first post here, so I apologize if it seems awkward (although I've used this site for years, I finally decided to get an account).

So for starters, I'm ripping from Final Fantasy Mobius. I'm using a few tools to capture in game mechanics and such (MOSTLY NinjaRipper and DDS converter, although I'm looking to try a few other things. As far as the game version goes, I'll include a link at the bottom of my post (Steam link).

I'll try to get as much done as I can the next few days, and whatever is left (and compiled) I'll dump in my dropbox for everyone. So far I've cobbled a few models together without weightpaint. I used a mixture of 3DS Max and Photoshop CC to do this, and compiled them into DAE files. I have just a few so far, but they're playing pretty nice with me when importing (Sometimes. Lots of fixing has taken place.). If you would like them in another format, PM me.

So far I'm working with a bunch of in-game rips from Ninja Ripper. It's pretty messy since its taking 400+ things each rip, and theres lots of sorting that needs to happen before I can even go and transfer (is that the right word?) the .rip files to .obj. I cant find the original file locations for all the models, and I think they may be in a cooked Unity file somewhere (I've looked at the Steam directory and some files have Unity at the beginning and/or .unity3d . I don't have any experience with them and I don't want to ruin my game before making a backup). It's going pretty smoothly, and I've been using batchriptoobj (link below).

I'll post some images of progress and model previews in a while.

I am creating my own original game that will be similar to Megaman. I am in need of sprite artists, tileset artists, sound engineer, and concept artists. If you can help in anyway please respond back to this.

Lets talk about the pay. There will be  no pay until the game is selling. Just make sure when you create something you copyright it and put a price on it, so when the game is selling I will pay you for it.

Gamecube Soundfonts

Hey guys, I'm new to this site and forum, though not new to the wonderful things that are video game soundfonts, as of recently on a few sites, I have left PMs, and posts a few times concerning both an updated version of the Mario and Luigi superstar saga Soundfont, and a possible Dragon Ball Z Budokai Soundfont (PS2/Gamecube) can anyone help me with either of these? I know superstar saga does not use the sappy engine, which means I can't rip them using GBAripper, though someone else managed to but I can't get ahold of them.  and of Dragon Ball Z Budokai, I was told it has an .adx or .ads   ad-something, I can't really remember, though my main concern with this is making samples from the game and putting them into a soundfont.

SaGa Frontier 2 Battle Sprites

Hi guys, I'm the sprite ripper for SaGa Frontier 2. And I've found the battle sprites for both party battle and duel battle, both monsters and party characters. That's pretty much everything.

But unfortunately unlike the walking sprites, they are in parts, and hence they need to be reassemble. So my questions are:

1) Is it OK for me to submit the sprites in HTML, or must it be PNGs only? They are reassemble with a css trick called CSS Image Sprites.

2) If they needs to be in PNGs, can I update my (already approved) submissions, or do I make a new section for them?

3) As I noticed, the character's duel battle have layers, meaning if the character holding a large weapon, like a bow, the lower body will display behind the weapon while the upper body is display on top of it. So how do you put in the sprite sheets?

4) Is there any rule about duplicated sprites? Does ever sprites needs to be unique to each other? I noticed there are some sprites are duplicated to used for different action, should those be removed too?

P.S. I noticed while my script was able to reassemble the sprites back, but some sprites are still broken (e.g. chr460 tail). If anyone can fix it up, you can just submit it directly yourself. Permission given.
I mean, my script already works for 1000+ sprites, fixing the script for these few and risk broke everything is just not worth the time.
If you are using Firefox, you can right-click -> Inspect Element to debug it. Hope that helps!

Hello everyone, I'm StupidMarioBros1Fan, also known as StupidMarioFan1 on Kitty Corp Meow Mix Forums and sometimes as StMB1Fan when the name needs to be short. I'm a huge fan of the YouTube series called "Stupid Mario Brothers" by Richalvarez as well as Mario in general & other Nintendo franchises, but also some Non-Nintendo franchises like Star Wars & James Bond. Currently my favorite Mario game of all time is Super Mario 64, although that might change when Super Mario Odyssey comes out but if not it's only because of Nostalgia.
I tend to express how much I love SM64 by importing the models into other games, most notably Super Smash Bros Brawl and New Super Mario Bros Wii, however I also like to edit existing/create new models to fit in the same style. Because of how the animations worked in SM64, the models have a slightly different graphic style compared to every other N64 Mario game, as well as just being so Low-Poly in general although not too Low-Poly like Super Smash Bros.
Been using 3ds Max since 2012 and thanks to taking Video Game Graphic Design classes at college I am confident in my modeling skills, not amazing, but I'm pretty good at making Low-Poly stuff. In fact I have been asked a decent amount of times to post my custom models online outside of the hacks/mods that I released and I figured "Where else but the Model's Resource's Custom/Edited Models section?" However, I don't limit myself to only replicating the SM64 Style, I've also done some stuff in the same style as NSMBW/Modern Mario games like modifying Bowser's model to look like Bowletta or King Koopa in NSMBW.
While I don't plan on uploading every Custom/Edited model I've made, as I have a lot thanks to a WIP NSMBW Project where I'm replacing every character with a SM64-Version of themselves & it probably doesn't have enough attention/recognition to qualify for it's own section like Project M does, I hope to supply the section with a little bit more diversity, and to try to satisfy the people who have wanted my stuff.

One thing I won't be doing is uploading every version of a character that I have, like SM64 Mario for example, as different games required different changes in order to work like texture mapping for example. Don't want to over-saturate the site with models that don't look any different from an outsider's perspective.
Some models might have two versions included for the texture mapping. One thing that Nintendo loved to use is the "Clamp" setting which causes the border pixels of a texture to stretch across the rest of the model, while most GCN & Wii games just use it for eye textures, the N64 used it all the time and is the reason why a lot of models needed to be remapped for this site to avoid things like SM64 Mario having four or more eyes. I keep this in a lot of my stuff because games that use BrawlBox (Brawl, NSMBW & Mario Kart Wii for example) allow textures to be set to "Repeat" (sometimes called Tile) "Mirror" and "Clamp" and is extremely useful in getting rid of extra texture space that would've been needed if a texture is set to "Repeat"
While this is not a forgotten setting as game engines like Unreal Engine 4 fully support the "Clamp" setting, some programs like 3ds Max either don't have this setting or it's tricky to find so it's very inconvenient for people who don't know about it to see "messed-up" UVs on the model.
The "Mirror" setting is more common so I doubt that I'll edit models that use that setting, NSMBW used it everywhere for example.

Overall I am excited to join this community and hope to provide models not only to the Custom/Edited section but also to others if I come across any models that haven't already been uploaded.
