Cuphead Ripping Progect

This game has beautiful artwork, but maybe too much beautiful artwork for one guy.
The game is made with unity, so getting the sprites isn't a problem. The catch is that they are stored like this
[Image: kqrQhKS.png]
Not really ordered well, huh?
After a few research i've yound this https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-31728...#pid638811, that helps a lot but there's another problem. After resheeting them you should check for some leftovers of another sprite into the sheet, because it happens sometimes.
here's my corrent progress https://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_computer/cuphead/, not much as you can see.
Any kind of help will be appreciated.

Hello vgresource, I'm a former pirate video game file extracting hobbyist. I've been ripping for a while now, but never made an account until now, because I felt like it'd be kinda pointless to join a community if I'm not going to contribute to it. I work on files of most types but mainly do audio files, and textures. I don't do model files yet because I don't know how to and I'm not sure if Noesis is good enough for that. I'm not the greatest at ripping yet, but I know a fair bit what I'm doing. Anyway, nice to be part of the team.  Smile

Submitting Massive Amounts of Textures?

I've been wondering, how exactly are textures submitted on the Texture Resource? I've heard some people talking about sheets, but what exactly does that mean? Also is there any special format the textures need to be in? Or can they be left how they are in the source game? I don't think what I'm doing would be possible to do with sheets though, as I'm wanting to upload every single texture from Dark Souls 3 and the game has probably 25000 textures (estimate), and I don't want to murder an admin's eyes having to look through them all. Also I'm not sure I can sort that many files, so I'm wondering what to even do with the files at this point. I think it's frankly too big of an order and Q/A on something this size would be near impossible, but I really want to make the textures available to those who want to mod the texture files.

Another Chance at Star Rod Magic

So, I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but I left the VG Resource for almost a year. While I have my reasons, I think it's for the best that I don't state them publicly.

Not that long ago, Kosheh let me know that the site has went through a few changes and is more bearable than it once was. As such, I'm giving it another chance to see if I'll have a less stressful time here. Otherwise, I'll just pack up and go since I have other communities that welcome me.

In any case, I'm interested to see how you guys treat me. I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but I actually have a Paper Mario fan project that I've been working on for almost three years. Even though I discontinued the original thread on this site, I still keep updating it elsewhere online. In any case, now that I'm back, I want to show you guys what I have so far and possibly post my assets here.

By the way, speaking of posting, I brought one more surprise with me! While he never ceased with uploading his sprites, he left the forum the same time I did. Now, reintroduce yourself, buddy! Big Grin

Heavy Rain - need some tips

Hey there! I've gotten back into ripping models and this time around I'm working on Heavy Rain -

Now, these models are borderline perfect - I can even get them with their rigs - but a few problems arise:

1. The models are missing some textures. I'm unable to get them from the game because the extractor I'm using refuses to give me any textures relating to certain parts of the models, such as the textures of the eyelids, primarily. It's only related to the face - I can texture the characters otherwise perfectly.

Example:
2. The rigs are broken, and lack bone names. Most of the model ends up rigged, but occasionally random parts of the model just refuse to function with the rig, meaning I'd probably have to re-rig it myself, and I feel that would be unauthentic.

Example:

3. The models are incredibly tiny when I rip them. What scale should they be at before I submit them?

Thanks in advance if anyone can give me some tips, I'm not the most amazing at this stuff.

The tools I'm using to extract the models are available here: http://cgig.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2506

Infinite Space (DS) Help

So I have been going through threads from something like 5-6 years ago all over the internet discussing this game and how impossible it is to rip models from it. Has anyone maneged to figure it out? I find myself in a position where I really need the 3D models of the ships from this game (Or just a way to get an image of them from the top looking down). So far I have managed to get into the files and found the models folder. The problem seems to be that all of the models in the game are in a .mdl format that is different from regular .mdl format. I am wondering if there is any conversion software out there that has been able to convert this format as I can't find any. Also, this is my first time trying to rip anything out of a game, so I may end up asking a lot of questions.

DLC

What is everyone's stance on DLC?

Mine is if you did not think of this idea before the vanilla game was released, or too late in production to do so, then DLC is fair game. I do not support when it's thought up off long before you finish your game or already include it in the game then have to pay to unlock it.

I say this because it feels like a deliberate lack of content deliverance for for the sole purpose of making more money. My message is if you're going to do DLC, at least make your vanilla game playable and with reason to dwell on it for longer than one play session.

I approve as long as it's utilized properly.

Was browsing the files for Sonic and the Black Knight and found in the soft_keyboard_eng.one archive a file called PROFANITIES.txt. This file is a list of 1857 words or phrases the game deems inappropriate. Some of them are mildly ridiculous and some of them are just downright hilarious.

English starts at line 618. Not sure what anybody would do with this but it exists so here you go

Hello! My name's Meg! I'm 20, and I'm from Canada!

I'm pretty new to the ripping scene, LOL. Honestly, I just thought, "Hey, I spend so much time on this site, why don't I just join?" So, that's what I did. I'm hoping to figure out how to rip sounds, because I want to flesh out the Danganronpa series' sounds database on sounds-resource. However, I have NO idea where to start.

It's very nice to meet you all! I'm hoping I can figure this out, and hopefully I'll get good at this!

Doraemon N64 Model Rips

Mr C. had already ripped the hud icons from the first Doraemon game on the Nintendo 64, So I decided to start submitting some of the models.

Lets start off with the only one i have polished up by the time im posting this, mr. Roboto-Neko himself, Doraemon.[Image: v58vxqr]

I had to polish him up because I used him for a "updated Doraemon 3dmm expansion pack", which means i removed some of the feautures that i had to re-add, such as the whites in his eyes. it still mostly looks close to the actual one in the game, so yeah.

If anyone else is gonna try to re-rip the others for me because i messed them up while converting them to 3dmm, then go right ahead. just please use the original names as i hate when people refer to Nobita as Noby.

woops didnt package the model in the original zip

Recruiting Artists And Vanilla JS Programmers at World's End Entertainment

$

As a student currently enrolled in Computer Programming, I have found it difficult to obtain an internship with my limited knowledge and underwhelming professional experience. Most companies I applied to required 3-5 years experience, which seemed impossible to achieve if I was not given the initial opportunity to be hired.
However, I was determined not to let that stop me and thus created my own independent gaming studio - World's End Entertainment. Our current work force has grown and now consists of four artists, and three programmers. All friendly and hard working individuals.
Our first game Shield Smash, is an RPG Idle Adventurer which is written using html, css, javascript and the game engine Construct 2. The art is created with Photoshop and Kritika. The game is still underdevelopment but is steadily progressing.
We are currently looking to expand our team with more programmers and artists, especially those well versed with pixel art. Upon completion of the game, Shield Smash will be launched on Kongregate, where you will each receive full credit as a part of World's End Entertainment. If the game makes money, the money will be divided evenly among the team. Please feel free to showcase the game as part of your portfolio.
To Apply
If you would like to join our team at World's End Entertainment, please feel free to send me your resume at gerarddummett1@yahoo.ca where I guarantee you that I will personally get back to you in a timely manner. The subject line should state: Resume for World's End Entertainment.
Our team currently consists of seven members from around the world and we are more than happy to have that number continue to grow. Discussions and meetings will be held via Skype and through Emails.
Thank you for taking your time to consider working with us, and we look forward to hearing from you.
