Alrighty. First off, I have a 100% custom Trevor spriteset, because I didn't like the old one.

I doubt I'm the only one who is has encountered this problem, but for those who want to know how to fix it, I am here to help. Let's take a look at what we are talking about in Blender:

The first step is to select the mesh and go into edit mode. The next photo will show you what you need to do next.

Now that we are in edit mode, let's make sure all vertices are selected and remove doubles. If only some of them are selected, press the A key twice to unselect and reselect everything. Once the doubles are removed, we'll be able to go to the next step: Recalculating the normals.

There are several ways to do this, but I recommend pressing CTRL and N. You could also click on the Shading/UVs tab and recalculate them from there or go to mesh menu and select normals, then recalculate outside to do the same thing. We still the odds lines to deal with though.

Click where it says Mesh, go to Clean up, then click Delete Loose. This should solve the issue with loose dots and lines. If done correctly, your ripped model should end up looking more like this.

I took a break from all that a long time ago and I just recently jumped back into it, so expect to see games from me, I guess? Either way, that's... that. I am after a bit of assistance. A group is currently in the process of doing a 16-bit remake of the original Megaman series and are in need of a 16-bit spriter to help out. Are there any people who are good spriters here who could lend a hand?

Mega Man ala Rystar

Hey hey guys you like Mega Man right? Yeah, the Blue Bummer, guys! He's that guy who fights Dr. Willy and all of those evil men! That... sounded very feminist-esque. Huh, fancy that!

This was a sprite revamp I did about a month or so ago because there weren't really any good revamped classic Mega Man graphics out there. Not shown here are the finished shooting poses (which were easy enough to do once these were finished) and... that's it. There are still quite a few missing poses I never did, like climbing and sliding and all that. It's possible I'll end up doing them in the future if I ever get bored, but then again these aren't very good sprites in the first place so probably not!

As you can see, this is a mish-mash of various sources. I based the main design off of the frankly hideous Mega Man revamp that was sometimes used in that weird SNES Soccer spinoff, the palette (with a few tweaks) is from MM8, and of course the rest of the body poses are nixed from the iconic NES Mega Man sprites.

I wasn't really going to bother anyone, any further, but I figured I'd start my own thread to prove two things.

1) I was wrong. 2) I listened to everyone.

For those who didn't see the thread where this all happened, I posted a custom sprite of mine to try and prove heavy detail was possible in small sprites, to defend another user's custom sprites. My larger sprites became the target of some constructive criticism, which I was a little annoyed about, at the time. One user surprised me by making a few mods to my larger sprites, to show me that I still had some learning to do and improvements to make.

Everyone made valid points. I studied those points and the mod, and then started working on fixing up my sprites. Since I didn't want to give the impression that I ignored everyone, I created this thread as proof that I read every word.

Sorry to those who felt offended by my poor choice of words. I had no intention of coming off arrogant.

His legs haven't really been worked on much. I still plan on fixing the weird angle his foot's at, and there's still stuff I have to do with the areas I have edited.

Thanks everyone, for the advice you gave me, and for helping me out. (And if you wish to continue giving help and tips, I promise I won't be as defensive.)
I tend to get into this stubborn kind of state, like "No, shut up, it's perfect, you know nothing!" And then it takes me a good amount of stewing in denial and irritation, then comes self doubt, then acceptance comes and I am able to stop being defensive and blind, and improve my spriting.

I'm not very good at advertising or anything, but I thought I would post a little bit about a webcomic site my brother and I are running called ComicBru.

It doesn't have a particular story or setting, instead a series of different ones that we create short stories about. I do the writing while my brother does the artwork.

Here's a page from one of our stories about a trio of warriors in a mystical Celtic land, this one being called The Grey Man:

My name's Cameron, but you can call me Cambert.

I like video games. A lot. My favorite series vary, but Earthbound and Wario Land are often at the top. To tell you the truth, I've gotten so busy making games and other things that I rarely play them nowadays. I'm also part artist, but it's more secondary than anything. I've rarely produced full pieces, mostly just little sketches, like my avatar.

Speaking of my avatar, he's one of my original characters: Jake, the helmet-wearing teenage sidekick. I guess you could say he's what I envision myself to be, but only in spirit. I look much different in real life.

I mostly came here for some quick advice, but this place looks nice enough to stay for a while... How are you doing?

I have a complaint about the new and improved icons. Although they're new and dandy, (And makes games infinitely more recognizable) I would VERY much like for icons to be more general public oriented. As in: I don't want random hentai/other perv naked crap while searching for honest Kirby/Digimon sprites and the like.

Cat platformer game

I am making a cat with a cape and need a little help and advice on how it looks so far. I am currently working on animations to move his tail in his idle animation and have his cape be blown by the wind. I am also thinking of doing an animation of him yawning and then going to sleep if not moved for long enough.
