[Fangame] Sonic Chaos Ripping Project

Hi everyone! 

Sure I created this thread kinda late, but it is better now than never. As some of you could notice, I have done some rips from Sonic Chaos fangame. It is easy to do because all .png files are available in "cd" folder. Anyway, my main goal of this ripping project is not just to take every .png file and upload to TSR as it exists, I want to organize the sprites really well using the same design to every sheet

Every sprite sheet I have already uploaded will be updated to the new design as I don't really enjoy the present one. Also, want to notice that the sprite sheets will be sorted the same way as the sprites sorted in game files

I will start to post updates as soon as my PC will be fixed

PC - Broderbund, 'Totally Mad' - (late 1990's, 7 CD's)

ok technically not a game, but still entertainment (Mad Magazine)... and this is probably the only place I would expect to find where someone would have experimented with similar types of extractions... considering that Broderbund did make games as well.  Has anyone out there tried to extract data from the related media files?  
Each disk has a set of related files (in 'MEDIA' folder) that obviously work together in some fashion based on prefix... 

MAD.M#  (where # is the disk number, and the largest file, where most content resides)
MAD.MED
MAD.IOB 

There are other smaller files on each disk (3 files for each unique prefix, same extensions).... such as HANGNAIL.M1,HANGNAIL.MED,HANGNAIL.IOB

The M# files begin with a JPEG/JFIF signature, but generally would not be considered that type with any viewer program ... although clearly, the bulk of the data resides in that single file (per disk)... 

Trid reports similar to the following on each MAD.M# file: 

 29.9% (.MPO) Multi-Picture Object bitmap (4500/1/1)
 26.6% (.JPG) JFIF JPEG bitmap (4003/3)
 19.9% (.JPG) JPEG bitmap (3000/1)
 16.6% (.MP3) MP3 audio (ID3 v1.x tag) (2500/1/1)
  6.6% (.MP3) MP3 audio (1000/1)

I tried universal extract, no luck there.. also messed with quickbms (although not familiar), but there's really no matching file type I can determine.. tried to do the brute force job with quickbms, got stuck on testing #48... I also used exiftool, thinking there could be an array of exif data entries, since it has the JFIF signature, which reported the file as JFIF version 1.02... but really nothing significant reported there.

Any ideas or advice, let me know, thanks!

I just try using GARbro and arc_unpacker and no luck  Sad
It's kinda modified .dat files.

Rigging and posing a model?

So, I'm a basically a complete newbie at Blender, and I would like to know how do I pose a model?
The model I am using is the Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition Link, the Breath of The Wild version to be exact, and I can see that the model has an armature and bones but they aren't selectable or posable.

Can anyone here tell, or preferably show me how to do it? Even a tutorial on the internet is fine. I don't know where to look for a tutorial on how to pose something that already has bones that don't work.

I then when to the M category and it wasn't there. If an admin could tell me why it was deleted it would be appreciated!

I managed to get the files from yo-kai watch puni puni, Thought unlike alot of android games where it uses unity and I can just use AssetStudio, This one uses a weird file name called .ez? Anyone have any clue how I would convert those?

Hello, excuse my bad English beforehand.
I was wondering if anyone knows about the PMDL format, I found 3D models of PS2 games with this format (like Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3/2), I have researched by myself and I have managed to export in OBJ, but I still need to export the bones, if someone has information about the PMDL format or knows how to export to formats such as FBX, DAE or open it in 3Ds Max, I would be very helpful.
PS: I would lso be useful information about the bones in different formats, DAE, FBX and other, to investigate more on my own. I'm not a 3D modeler, I'm just looking to export model of those games.

This may not even be in the right section, but since I'm new here really anyways, I'm fine with it being moved. Also, I really do hope anybody even remembers this classic series, since I've really been hankering for the conclusion for quite a while now. Big Grin


10 years ago, I watched a fan series on YouTube from maybe another site which was Super Mario Bros. X, this involved an epic about the crossover between Mario and Sonic to save the world (and maybe the universe) from what would eventually be the duo Bowser and Dr. Eggman, in which they would save Princess Peach once and for all.
Look, I'm not really going to get much deeper if at all into the fan-series since that would probably be completely unnessessary, and that would be sacrificing the bare point of this thread for the series as a whole where's it's not really needed anyways, so let's just get down to the whole point of this thread from the get-go.
Where I had left off (stopped watching the series) that long ago, an Eggman/Bowser-esque airship was coming in to kidnap Peach and use her and others to take over the entire world (and maybe even the universe). That was literally it - something that happened that permanently prevented me from progressing any further into the series, and man, have I spent many long, grueling hours on it. I'll make this quick though:
Either Nintendo had DMCA'd or C&D'd the series, meaning it was ultimately never finished in the first place, or, as I may have originally suspected, the YT porter was cut off by the creator of the series for IP reasons, meaning that, either, in that instance, I would've had to pay a hefty subscription to it along with a grueling refund process, or I would've just been flat out unable to access it easily at least. But my most likely suspiction may have been that the series was still going, but Nintendo themselves demanded that the porter stop, therefore requiring me to access the sources site to view the rest of it, which, at my much younger age (I was literally 12 then - I'm 21 now), may simply have been too inconvinent for me at best at the time.


Here's the point in the short of it: Simply put, I'd really love to see the epilogue to this classic series as the very least, so if anyone has any source whatsoever for the finale at all, please do provide it to me; it would really make me very happy. If simply not, please provide the exact reason why not. Thank y'all so much. Have a great night.

Hi, my name is Phil and I know I am just new here and don't have enough posts to make requests. I am just here to let everyone know 
that I am looking for experts who can rip some more Dinosaur Planet 64 models from the kiosk demo. I tried asking Hugo Peters
he only gives his tools with Youtubers and he blocked me on Twitter. 

I just want the models for future reasons as they might come in handy if I find a better 3D program to use them.
In the meantime, I am a 8-bit and 16-bit artist I draw mostly sprites and hardly do much modeling nowadays
but I still need the models from Dinosaur Planet as they look different than the final and there are no official artwork!

I love collecting stuff from prototypes and cancelled games as well. Unfortunately, it's not easy to find this stuff
as most of these games are never leaked yet and the only way where I could find most of this stuff
is screenshots and videos where I could easily crop them out using paint software. 

Just drop me a private message if you are willing to help! I just want to see more models from Dinosaur Planet and that's it.

WIP Dynamite Headdy Background Rips

Here's a little something I've been working on every now and then. Since Dynamite Headdy (Genesis/MD) hasn't had any rips done for it for a while now, I decided that I would try and do some, since it has some really nice sprites. So far I have ripped/plan on ripping the titlescreen (0%), Twin Freaks/Funny Angry (40%) and the backgrounds of course (30%). I'm not sure if I will have time to rip some other sprites, but only time can tell really.
Here's a small preview of all the background I've ripped so far:

Since I am quite occupied with a lot of different stuff at the moment, I don't think there will really be any regular updates made to this any time soon, but I just thought it would be nice to at least show off all the progress I've done so far. There are still over 20 backgrounds (I believe) that still need to be ripped so this might take a while. Hope you guys like what I've got so far!

RSS Feed not working???

For some reason, at least starting today, I'm now incapable of opening the RSS Feed on any of the VG Resource sites!
Instead of opening the page in a new tab, my browser instead tries to get me to download the .php file!
At first, I thought this was just an issue with Firefox, but I went to test it in Microsoft Edge, and it ALSO didn't work properly.
However, Internet Explorer (wow), DOES open the RSS Feed properly...


Then, I thought maybe Firefox updated and mucked something up, but other webpages in .php format open just fine. It's only the VG Resource RSS Feed pages that don't open properly anymore???

EDIT: Also confirmed with someone else, I found that Google Chrome DOES open the RSS Feed in a new tab... however it just displays the raw code, instead of the actual page

Hello, where are the texts for this screen located?
I am translating XY to BR Portuguese, I'm using the pk3DS to translate the Game Text and the Story Text, but the text for this screen is not there.
I tried looking into the 
"a/0/0/5: battle interface? status/type icons" with Ohana, but it just shows a small quality screen of this bottom screen battle UI, and without the text.
Can someone help me? Sick
