I really wish Nintendo made use of the blue light ring around the home button

 I recently got a new PC that can actually play games and one thing I did was hook up my pro controller via Bluetooth to play on Steam. When it connected I noticed the blue  Sarkari Result Pnr Status Showbox
light around the home button illuminated. I'm sure others have noticed that too, but why would it be there it never does that while playing in the Switch?

I really hope they integrate it into notifications if we ever get a decent online/friends system.

Hello.

This is kind of a dumb question, but it would be nice if we had PICO-8 as part of the Consoles category.

If you don't know what PICO-8 is, it is a virtual machine created by an independent company called Lexaloffle Games, with its headquarters based in Tokyo, Japan. The company refers it as a "fantasy console" used to make, share and play tiny games and other stuff. PICO-8 just got its popularity last year around the same time Celeste was released. Also, it was initially created for a game jam back in 2015 under the name of "Celeste Classic", and became one of the most popular games on the PICO-8 BBS, prompting the game developers to make a full version of it. Celeste Classic has since then been featured in the full version as an easter egg the devs hid.

All right for the past three and a half weeks I've been looking for a solution on how to properly extract the models and textures from this game, and I've not been able to find anything useful. The furthest I've gotten is getting the files down to 'base' formats. Models are WMB's, and Textures are locked in DTT's which extract to WTB's. I need a way to get the models and textures from these files in at least OBJ's with UV's and something like DDS or PNG. Here are the sample files of one of the specific characters I need.

Sonic 2 Artist posts dumps of Development sprites, Should we archive here?

Hey everybody,
just the other day Sonic 2 artist Tom Payne's ‘ancient box with all his Sonic stuff in it’ has been rediscovered and he has given them to a retro video game store owner who was given permission to dump them. (Article with all the dumps: https://megabitesblog.wordpress.com/2019...d-the-box/)
Here's an example of what was found (interesting stuff!):

We probably need permission to add them to the site right? Or should they not be added at all since they aren't "true" rips and most aren't in perfect ratio and have artifacts on them?

Model Posing and making print ready

Hey all,
Been busy these last few years and while I still am in the spriting game I have taken on the career of Author and Craftsman, Writing books and making prop replicas including scale models of Video Game settings. Which brings me to my reason for being here, I am planning to be a vendor next year at my local Comiccon and one of the pieces I want to buid for it is a Majora's Mask Clock Tower in a DnD scale. For this project I thought it would be cool to have a couple DnD sized Miniatures of Zelda characters to go with it, they would be free extras and all that jazz.

But I am left with a problem, while 3D printing services are in many places these days I can get them printed easy. But getting the pose, equipment and base all integrated and then fixed for Printing is not in my skill list. So I need some help from a experienced modeller I'd even be willing to pay them for their time, but yeah if I want those figs made I will need some help and I will appreciate it enormously.

I was an idiot about the models as apparently they are supported natively by Noesis. However, the high-res textures are another story. They are contained in ".dtt" files and I haven't found a proper extractor yet. I found a few for Bayonetta releases but they don't seem to work for it. Could someone help me out and get these to a standard format I can use?

How do you open PS2 PKG files?

I have an ISO of Destroy All Humans! 2 for the PS2. I've tried using PCSX2 in combination with NinjaRipper to rip the models with little to no success. The ISO runs perfectly fine on PCSX2 and I can play it okay on my laptop--albeit at a frame rate averaging around 8 fps. When I tried to extract some of the meshes, I came across two big problems. The first and foremost is that the meshes are compressed to two dimensions, it just shows up completely flat. The second thing is that when I looked at the two dimensional mesh head on, I realized that the meshes were in the position of when I ripped them in-game. This is not what I'm looking for--I want a mesh of characters in their 'T-pose' (the default pose with arms extended out to the sides).

I figure there has to be some way of directly getting the models from the game files without having to get them while in-game. I ended up going inside the iso and looking into a folder; inside there were folders labelled 'ab,' 'bc,' 'mb,' 'tk,' and 'tu,' which I'm guessing are references to the game locations: Albion, Bay City, Solaris (Moon Base), Takoshima, and Tunguska respectively. Inside each one are four files: DISCARD.PKG, RESIDENT.PKG, STREAM.PKG, and a DIR file of the same label as the folder. I'm guessing the character meshes are in the RESIDENT.PKG, hence the name. I'm not one hundred percent sure how to go about getting into these PKG files though.

So I noticed Duel Links was finally added to the sounds resource but not all characters are there. Could somebody rip all english playable characters?

Is extracting textures from Demul possible at this point?

I've been trying to rip textures from some Naomi 2 games via Ninja Ripper. While it worked for some like Spikers Battle (which I ripped Spike's months ago) but I don't remember how I did it but it worked. it hasn't with games like Virtua Fighter 4 Final Tuned. Textures won't extract with this game so I tried Texmod which (last time I remembered) rips from dx9 games. With every version of Demul I used, it keeps crashing whenever I try any plugin that's not gpuDX11 and Texmod won't work with what keeps running the emulator. And I have had no luck with 3d Ripper either.

So, way before I even knew ripping was a thing other people did, when I was a little kid, I used to 'borrow' sprites from my favourite game site, Nitrome (the fact that most of the games on Nitrome are non-anti-aliased pixel art made it a very unique website for me). I should have posted this earlier, but here are my current rips of models from both Star Wars The Force Unleashed 1 and 2. Credits to Corra_Ashu/Clonetrooper163 on Twitter/Discord for giving me a Noesis plugin to rip the models and for sending me them in raw format so I can convert them myself. Anyways, this isn't ALL the models, its most, but not all. Don't think maps are possible, least I don't think so. Welp, sometime I will get around to converting the rest that I haven't uploaded yet. There aren't many that left to be converted thankfully, oh, and I should inform you that I sent these assets to El_Fabricio/the_legend whose making the Star Wars Battlefront III Legacy mod for Star Wars Battlefront II 2005 Classic.

Apparently something changed in this site recently, because since I created my account I was using an avatar randomizer page host, known as Randimg (http://www.randimg.net/). But some days ago I noticed it doesn't work anymore in the site, not only for my avatar, also for normal embeding.

Weirdly enough, the pics actually appears in the post preview, and they randomize normally (everytime I click Preview Post). This is the first time I have problems with it, and yes, this is the only site where it's failing.

Does anyone know the reason of why this happen?

Dragon Warrior VII PSX Sprite Ripping Help.

I want to rip some overworld sprites from Dragon Warrior VII on the PSX, the main sprites being "Beretta" (Chief's wife in the Deja Tribe), The Monster Priest  and Orgodemir (all three are in the attachments). Is there an easy way to do rip these sprites?

Beretta is the woman in front of the protagonists in the first picture.

The Monster Priest is the green guy in the priest's garb.

And Orgodemir, well, he's pretty obvious.
