I'm learning how to rip from android games and two of the ones i'm experimenting with have files named assets.ARSC 
is there a quickbms script to use on this to get models/textures from it? or am I doing something wrong

Help Identifying Sprites (from Sonic 2 HD)

I've played through the game twice and ripped most of the sprites. The issue I'm having now is that there are sprites I don't want to upload without naming/categorizing. I'm not sure what they are. Some look like potential 'Special Stage' sprites, while others look like they could potentially be for the pause/title screens and others look like alpha/transparency maps for water. The rest I did not see in game. The names are their hex address in the game archive (sonicorca.dat).

Treehouse PC game weird sound format?

Hi.  I just discovered this forum by accident on a thread about MHK files that lead to nowhere sadly so hopefully I'll like to learn what it takes to get sounds and music out of the Tree House?  I uploaded something called Songs.dat file for any of you to scan.

No program exists that can open it.  I tried Dat file converter and it even said no go. I don't know anything beyond extract and run.  Yes I'm the idiot.  

Ironicly enough I can get New Adventures of the Time Machine by Cro Interactive ripped which I thought was awkard enough as it was to work using Game Audio Player and naming the files.  They are in .BF format on Disc 2 that I managed to rip.  The songs are musiques.bf and voices are voix.bf and you won't believe how many voices there are in that game.   

Anyways you'd think The Treehouse would be easier given there isn't that much stuff compared to that 3D game.

I tried to get them on my own but Hex and I don't get along. So I will be requesting your aid in this. The assets I request are the models, textures sounds and skeletals and animations if you can of four of the dragon types. I can give the names, but if you need visual reference I can provide pictures of the three.

Plains Dragon (If models are in the levels Plains Dragon should be in most of them)
Blood Dragon (Should be present in Ch 1, ch 4 and the second half of the game)
Bull Dragon
Wind Dragon

I know it's kinda specific, I'm sorry. I'm going to use them for a mod I am developing for another game. I hope I can work with some one (or some people) on this soon!

Extracting Switch game files - hactool?

I'm interesting in ripping sprites, sounds and music from first-party Nintendo Switch games. It would appear that hactool is the thing to use, so I've tried using that to see what I can find inside the Super Mario Odyssey ROM. I now have three directories - normal, secure and update. Inside secure is a 5.5GB file (among others), which seems to be the one to try and extract. I've filled in keys.dat and tried using hactool on this file. It outputs some stuff (I don't know if it would be useful or wise to paste it here, but no errors) and Done!, but no files actually get created. Might I be doing something wrong?

I have some questions and, while it sounds blunt, there's not much point in me waffling.

1) What to do with SVGs? It would feel wrong to rasterise them all. Stick them in a ZIP?
2) Speaking of which, are there any plans to allow people to upload SVG spritesheets directly to the site? The browser compatibility is there.
3) Should JPEGs ever be treated differently, or just spritesheet them up into a PNG as usual?
4) What about animations? Would an animated GIF for an icon be appropriate, or too distracting?
5) Would images included with a game that aren't part of the actual gameplay experience, such as concept art, be appropriate to upload?
6) Is there any cutoff as to what counts as a sound and what counts as music? e.g. duration.

Armos Knight Redux

So a while back I made an attempt at making an Armos Knight sprite in the style of Minish Cap.

I decided I wanted to revisit that idea.

My old attempt is the one on the right.
So I figured I could probably just stop there for the most part, since Armos Knight doesn't have animations.
But I decided I wanted to do something different, give it a life of it's own.

So I started working on animations.

I'm thinking, 'rotating head as it jumps', for the first animation. The other animation I kind of want to do is to have it move it's shield to block incoming arrows, and thrusting it's spear forward as an alternate attack.

But the head rotation is the thing that's getting me stuck.

Ripping Models from NDS Games

Hi All,

I'm fairly new to sprite ripping and I've been recently trying to rip the player sprites from "Bomberman Land Touch! 2" with no avail. Any tips on how I would achieve this?
I'm using Tinke 0.8.2 (since other versions throw errors and I don't feel like finding out why) and so far I've been able to open the .dscr files as colour pallets (I offset them too) and use them to when opening the .dsir files as tiles. Based on what I know, the final step here SHOULD be to open the map for the tiles but the problem is that the map file doesn't display anything once opened.

I attached what I got so far.

P.S. I've tested some other games to see if the game I tried was just a special case, and I've noticed that other games don't have a [BDLT] tag beside all the files, anyone know what BDLT means?

Since I've found a website that extracted the original model files from Digimon Masters Online, I wanna know how do I convert these files to fbx? I need to know how to do it, because I want to convert the Andromon model along with its animations.

Hi, I was able to extract the game data. And I found that the assets to build the game arts use files handled by the Spine 2D program.

But the program is too expensive and I can not buy it, try to do it in DragonBones Pro and do not open the files ".skel.bytes" I found that I could arm in Unity with the runtime, but when I open the files along with the runtime the file ". skel "is not valid.
 I wanted to know how I can open them.

So I decided I was gonna rip Sonic's model from Sonic Generations using a 3DS Max script, and so I got him working in 3DS Max. I converted the scene(?) to .dae and tried to import it into Blender 2.8, but he wasn't there. Help?

Hello all!
I'm brand new to the scene of model/sprite ripping, but I love what you guys have done over at the Models Resource and Spriters Resource.
If you couldn't tell by my username, I'm an animator, and I recently had an idea for a Super Mario story.
I downloaded the ripped models of Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser from Super Mario Odyssey and was really happy with the rigging setup and how the models looked in Blender 2.8 (save for a few things that I fixed myself).
My biggest problem was trying to find a model of Peach's Castle that I could use. I was wondering if it was possible for the Mushroom Kingdom stage from SMO to be ripped for me to use, so I did my research on the various tools I would need.

But my real question is this: is it possible to rip full stages from Super Mario Odyssey as 3D models? If they come in multiple parts that's completely fine, I just want to know if it's possible.
Reason I'm asking is because for me to use the models from SMO without getting into any legal trouble, I realized I would have to sink approximately $210 into getting another Switch tablet for homebrew and the SMO cartridge (because I refuse to put homebrew on my current Switch while risking getting banned in online play). I would then dump the game and extract the models from it and use them in my animations. However, I want to make sure that it's completely possible before I try to do this.

I did notice the Fossil Falls Dinosaur Nest and The Odyssey Interior as approved models on the Models Resource, and the Peach's Castle Interior and the Ruined Kingdom as pending models, so I was thinking that it was possible, but I just need clarification especially as I want to rip an entire world as the Mushroom Kingdom.

Secret Agent Clank Model

Hello!

Long time lurker, first time poster. Now that that's out of the way, there's a specific model in the game Secret Agent Clank I would like to have ripped if possible. I've been a little bit obsessed with the model of Ratchet from the showers level, but I have no idea how to rip the model from the ISO. I know this sounds like a bit of a weird request, but I'd really just like to have this model, please.

Just a quick specification, I'd like the towel-less version, please.
