I need some models from this game specifically. Can someone please do it?

Hello!

Hey,
I've been stalking tSR for a while now when looking for sprites to use in projects, and recently I've been experimenting with making my own sprite art. I've been making sprites for a few fangames my friends are making, and I decided it would be a good idea to have some place to put these!
If you want an idea of how my spriting skills are, I made my pfp, and I have a piskel where I publicly post finished/WIP sprites (https://www.piskelapp.com/user/6207598670905344). In particular I am working on making character sprites of Taizo Hori (Dig Dug) for a project, which. when completed, I may turn into a sheet and submit to tSR. When I finish this I have a few ideas for other sprites I might make (such as Yoshi, Cave Story, maybe tilesets?).
Anyway, nice to be here! Not sure how active I'll be on these forums, but you might see me around here.

I need help.

NOTE: I accidentally posted this in the Spriters thread, I posted it here, to solve my problem.

I've noticed that certain games are missing from the Spriter's Resource site, but exist the other sites. I've also noticed that some games are incomplete or need missing sheets. I'm going to try and fill in the games that I know are missing or incomplete.

Here's a list of the games I'm currently looking at:

Gregory's Horror Show
Punky Skunky
Emerald Dragon

Clash Of Kings

Hey there!

So I tried to rip some audio files from this PSP game by using PSound and it worked. The weird thing though was, that I couldn't find the soundtrack anywhere on the playlist. All of the character lines and sound effects was there but no music.

Is there any way to extract music from this game? I couldn't find Pursuit Force OST anywhere online and all of the YT links I found on PF Wiki are dead.

Hey all. Been working on ripping all the voices/sfx from this game and I seem to be missing some. I used PowerISO to extract files from the game and in the USRDIR folder I checked the bomberman and iq folders and found most of the voices/sounds. I know more is still missing because I need the death groan from the characters. Can anybody help me look through this?

Can I Self-Translate a PS2 Game?

$

Hi. I'm not sure how to do much with PS2 games and such, but I'm willing to go through the script of this one game I adore and have my Japanese friend help me translate it. Is there any way I can modify the script of the game or modify the language file, if there is one? In one of the directories directly on the disc, there seems to be signs of a scrapped language select screen and one of the languages are English. I'm not totally sure if I'm allowed to post this stuff here, but I am genuinely willing to translate the whole game with help and if anyone knows how I could do this I would really appreciate it. Thank you! Oh, and the game in question is Vib-Ripple.

Another thing that I think is worth mentioning is that on the disc there are several files I believe might be somewhat involved in the language of the game. Here's the files that I'm talking about;

R:\NETGUI\NTCNFBIN\MESSAGE.TXT
R:\NETGUI\NTCNFBIN\JAPANESE.PF
R:\NETGUI\NTCNFBIN\JIS2UCS.BIN
R:\NETGUI\NTCNFBIN\UCS2JIS.BIN

Update: I've noticed that in R:\NETGUI\NET.GUI, there is a call for something referred to as "pMsgList_english". Anyone have any clue what that could be?

Another update: The file seems to call for the file many times..

A few more english related calls in NET.GUI;
english.c
MSGID_MENU_ENGLISH

a few more calls of interest in the file mentioned:

PLvsPWAA Model Ripping Help

Hello.

I am writing a thread to find out if anyone has made progress ripping out game models and game assets from Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney.

I've seen some users around VGR who have already tried doing so, and the progress was really great. Unfortunately, not many people who took part in that process have reported back in, nor did they update VGR lately about it. (It's probably just me not looking hard enough.)

After some research, along with a couple of thread references here in the VG Resource, I used Kuriimu and/or Karameru (Forgot which one extracts the game files), and I ended up with a couple of files like these (to have my own source of assets).

Each one of the folders contains one of each file extension (Probably not all folders):
*.atr, *.cmn, *.mbn, *.mtr, *.prm, *.sil, *.txp, *.xi (each on a numbering basis per folder), and a RES.bin file.

I haven't researched much as to what these files really are and how to open them, so I am wondering if there's a particular way to convert these files into 3DSMax-appropriate files? I mostly use 3DSMax for rendering purposes.
I have seen these files on Blender, but I had no idea how to place anim files in there.

Anyway, I wonder if anyone here has already tried opening these sorts of files, and actually use of them in certain software? (Besides Kuriimu which in fact, whoever developed it, did a wonderful job opening some sorts of these files. Kudos to them. Heart)

Is this a jojo reference I see?

Hello,

After digging about I noticed that there is a fairly surprising lack of models from any of the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure games.
( Those being the Phantom Blood PS2 game as well as Eyes of Heaven for PS3 & PS4 )
I am currently more edged towards the Phantom Blood PS2 game, as having easy access to that game's models would be greatly beneficial to myself and others in the future.

As for what models I am exactly looking for, I am mostly looking for character models as well as the Stone Mask.

If anyone, and I truly mean anyone, can fulfil this request, I would be grateful.

Edit: Oh, also, I'm in no rush to get these models, and I don't expect this request to be fulfilled by any means. But it would be truly helpful if someone would fulfil it.

Alicia Online (Repacking .pak, need help)

Here's the game in question: Alicia Online

From my understanding, the game was developed using Renderware. The game's developer was Ntreev Soft, the same developer of the more popular game, PangYa.

Unpacking the game's res.pak is easy enough, as there is an unpacker that can be found here. However, repacking the game's res.pak after making modifications proves to be more difficult. The launcher gets stuck on loading and unfortunately will not proceed. Could someone please help me out with fixing this problem and repacking the game's res.pak into a functional, readable format?

Thanks so much to anyone that can offer their assistance.

3DS Senran Kagura CMDL

I am primarily interested in animation. Recently, I investigated 3DS Senran Kagura.
Most 3D models in this game are CMDL. Supported by Ohana3DSRebirth. Animation too.

I think that Senran Kagura's animation is not available on Vita or PC at all, so this is worth it.

However, the main character, cmdl, has some degree of compression or obfuscation. I can hardly read magical words.

Upload the main character cmdl. I hope someone can decipher this.

I recently obtained CoD Mobile's apk to rip it's audio but I've run into a problem. The sounds (I believe) are in lnit.bnk, I've checked the .assets files and haven't found anything to rip/view the sounds. If you know how to rip the sounds from this file or have any suggestions thanks.

Seamlessly tiled, scrolling, animated backgrounds

This can be seen in the Kirby games, and also on some guy's avatar that I found when I was browsing The Spriter's Resource. I don't know how to animate something like that. I think there's some trick to it that I'm not understanding. I need to know how to do this for a game I'm working on that draws some aesthetic influence from Mischief Makers and stuff like that.

Here are some examples.

I've found some tutorials on how to create a perfectly tiled image, but animating it is another story. Any ideas?
