I'm working on a remix album of the music from this game, and I want to use some sound effects and/or music samples for the songs. I have no idea how ripping works, and I'm not even sure where to start.

Hello everyone i have been following this community some time and thanks to you I learned how to use many tools and get some interesting models.

 
I have all the BRRES files from the game that were in the monsters and characters folders and I thought it would be nice to share them with you.
  
The brres comes with the textures and some animations, some of the characters/monsters were repeated because each one had different animations. I only kept one of every character.

On a side note I could not open the with CTools, only with BREESViewer. You just need to open the file and select export the models and the textures and DONE.

I like Sonic fangames.

I'm always sad though that they mostly go with Sonic Advance or Sonic 3 stuff since there's more availability, since I visually prefer Sonic 1 and CD.

So sometimes I start spriting out of nostalgia. These are never intended to be fully sheeted, at most an animation or two, but I do always hold the hope if I perfect them enough someone else will do the sheeting work. This also means I often do heavy edits instead of just scratch from nothing- if by reshading and resizing and cleaning something I'll have a good-looking result faster, I'll go with it.

So any crit is both needed and wanted, please.

In this specific case, I tried doing the Sonic Advance 1 and Sonic Advance 3 Eggmobiles in a style that'd fit Sonic 1. I'm relatively happy with the SA1 one- could use some fidgeting so it looks more like it in terms of proportions rather than a reskinned Sonic 1 one, and correcting some perspective and shading. The Sonic Advance 3 one doesnt look as good- I'll need a fresh pair of eyes looking at it, both mine and others ideally, but right now I can at least say it looks too rounded and not quite at the same perspective as the Sonic 1 one.

Adding to all that, a few weeks ago I tried doing some Advance poses to Sonic, plus editing Knuckles Chaotix' Knuckles to fit the Sonic 1 and CD language, and this is how it looked before I dropped it temporarily to go work on my Alex Kidd stuff.

In this case, I should add- the pallettes aren't final, as I'm yet to find something that'll fit Knuckles. His head also needs some touching in terms of the shading.

Otherwise, yeah, this is what I have now. Not going to make a project out of it, but it's something I often return to, so I'll probably be back to at least add more characters.

New Feature: Revisions!

We're finally done with revisions! If you're logged in, you'll now see a "Revise" link at the top right of every sheet (or model, texture, or sound) info table. You can use this to suggest edits to the sheet which will be queued for approval by staff. If the link is missing, it means that there is already a pending revision so just sit tight.

I know I've been promising this forever and I'm thrilled to finally be able to open it up to the public. We've been testing it throughout the day (and are performing one last test as I write this) and I'm confident that it's working but, as always, please report any bugs in this thread!

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here, just signed up today. I've just started on a little hobby/proof-of-concept project where I want to take Super Mario RPG sprites, etc and re-implement the game (or at least the first area, to start) and change how battle works. But none of that really matters in regards to my questions/comments.

Spriter's Resource is such an excellent, well, resource. I was just a little disappointed to find this small subset of the battle backgrounds (namely, Mushroom Way), which I was going to use first thing in my proof of concept, weren't in a clean PNG by themselves, but in a smaller than native resolution collection, in a GIF. You can see artifacts the second you look at it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to bash the original up-loader for that one, I just need nice clean pixels.

So I thought, no big deal. I'll open it up in my emulator, make a clean one myself. And then maybe I'll upload it to SR in case someone else notices this problem.

But it was rejected, saying that background already existed. Blank

So, like I said I'm new here. I don't know how things work. Is first-to-post all that matters? I thought the cleaner quality would be appreciated. Any thoughts, feedback, etc?

I guess since i've been uploading more models recently I might as well make a thread like this. Lately I've been doing a bunch of SM3DLand rips (feel free to request models here. But do note, just because you request it, doesn't mean i'll be able to get it) so, here they are
And thats what I got for now, most updates will probably be formatted this way depending on how often its updated and how models are in the update. So I guess thats it for now Tongue also expect some bioshock infinite models from me as well as some sonic lost world models (the sonic lost world models might take a bit longer though due to some weird .brces files that contain textures for most models).

Hey friends! 

If you've been following PewDiePie than you will know that he just hosted a game jam. If you actually have taste, you probably didn't. However, I participated in the jam and created a little game I like to call "Loose Cannons". I did all the programming and sprite work, and Sketchasaurus did the music and made the background. 

We were actually planning on continuing this project, and would really like some feedback from you guys! Big Grin

Thinking of trying Touhou

After recently hearing some music from a Touhou game, I checked out this series that I've often heard about but never really considered playing. It looks pretty good, bullet hell shooter aren't a genre a play a lot of but I really enjoyed Jamestown. It seems fairly good seeing how popular the series is so it might be something I'd like.

So yeah, can anybody here recommend Touhou games? As far as I can tell most/all of them are free (at least the official/original ones) so trying it out won't be a loss, but I'm just wondering if anyone here can tell me whether they think it's a good/bad idea or just their general opinion on the series.

I am trying to rip a model From Mega Man Battle and Chase (Specifically the Blue Bomber and his Rush Roadster) and i need a much sophisticated way to rip models from the bin+cue so can someone help me?

Need help with Custom Sprites

I'm preparing a newly upgraded Wile E. Coyote Sheet for the Desert Demolition section. I've also made some minor additions to the sheet. As you can see from the small samples right here:

I have a custom made knife and fork ready for Wile E., but what I need is a custom-made napkin/bib tied around Wile E.'s neck.
 
I need someone who's really good at making custom sprites and could draw a custom made napkin for the 4 torsos of Wile E. Coyote provided in the picture above. I have included Wile E.'s head to help you out with it.

If anyone can pull this off, I will gladly put their username in the "Special Thanks" Credits. Smile

I will submit the finished sheet in 2015. Goin' for a record for 100 sprite submissions in 2 years.
