A Dream of Mine...

Well I figured this would be fitting as I can't really ask this anywhere else. My request this time is fairly simple and partially done already. I would like the Giant Dreamy Luigi model from Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, as soon as possible. Fortunately, I don't need bones or animations, and would prefer it in OBJ format. Textures included of course. I have tried everything I can think of but nothing works, and those that DO work, have no extraction method.

Among my return to the forums, I want to bring up that I've done pixel art before and albeit it's not the best, it's certainly not the worse. In this Sprite Gallery, I will show off works, past and present so sit back, relax and let the pixels amaze you. Oh and don't forget about dropping criticism, that's a good requirement for improvement!

I admit. DragonBlossom wasn't exactly in it's prime back when I started it in late 2012 and the ridiculousness of its system was a bit too complicated, so I reset it's cast with the exception of the lead character. Now look at it! It's on it's way to be a much better looking game than before!

Here is my first custom sprite sheet. I chose Jeff from the Double Dragon series and rendered him Double Dragon Advance style using TOmisaurus' Billy Lee sheet as a base. I have had the idea floating around in my head after realizing he was the one character from the arcade series that I felt should have been included in the remake.

hello i was hoping someone had a complete  sprite sheet of the B.O.X. Security Robot from metroid fusion.

all across the net even here i have only ever found the unassembled sprite i have never come across a complete sprite sheet of it. this is a little annoying for me as i am VERY bad at sprite assembly and cant make use of the unassembled sprite. thank you in advance

Is it possible to update a texture download?

I am ripping some textures I want to upload, however due to my tool only ripping loaded textures, I would want to update the download if I find out my upload is incomplete. I want to get it up asap, I think I have all textures since I went into every level once, then as every player once, however I have not beaten the game, so there may be a final cutscene with more textures.

So I've been going around, searching endlessly, asking for help, and researching formats all I could understand just to try and extract the textures/sprites from this one stupid file. From that silly South Park tower defense game on the XBOX360, I give you the one file that has eluded my methods and others to this very day, in hopes of finding someone here who could help me extract the images from it properly.

I wanna start off by saying I have attempted ripping from this game MANY times before but the files turned up empty.
That's why I'm posting in the help thread.

A while ago I tried ripping from the dreamcast (and gba) game "Jet grind radio" only to come out with .Bin files that would not open with an extractor or noesis.

I wanted the dreamcast or HD remake models, not the GBA ones.

An HD remake was made called "Jet set radio" and it was for xbox360,ps3,android,PC and ios.

I attempted ripping the models off my android phone, but could not open the game file.

I was wondering if someone could help me figure out how to get these models.
Is there a dreamcast emulator that I can use to snag the 3d models?
Or is there a way to figure out how to open the .bins (note: I don't have the bin files now because that was ages ago, but I could probably get them again later on).

I noticed someone uploaded The sequel to this games models, but I want the model from "Jet set/grind radio"

Hey, VGResource. It's been a while.

I've recently started to get into 3DS Max. However, I can't seem to find a good way to rig characters from Models Resource to not be stuck in Jesus poses. I've tried many tutorials but none of them seem to work or have to be paid for.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Silent Hill Shattered Memories .fev

Ok so I have managed to get into SH's files and retrieved a bunch of .fev files (which have the sounds) and when ever I extract them, I get some .fsb files and extract THOSE, and then finally get a .wav. Now my problem is that when ever I get the .wav, when I play it in Audacity or something it sounds high pitched and scratchy. Anyone no a fix to get the audio clearly from these?

PS: When I slow down the audio, you can hear it but it has a loud static noise. Making it so all you hear is white noise with a tiny bit of the actual sound.

DragonBlossom: The RETURN

Hello lovely people of the VGR forums, this is Arkenova, the Creative Lead of DragonBlossom, speaking to you once more after a rather long, unexpected hiatus from the forums. (Okay, I should had dropped a note but I didn't know I would even return counting the months that has gone by. Actually, to be honest, it's been a YEAR and some months, so yeah.)

Anyways, calling back to the roots of the old thread that has been archived, you will notice that quite alot has changed over from the original concept of this developing indie title, including the overall metamorphosis of the sprites, characters and even the storyline!

With that out of the way, let's blow this popsicle stand! (Okay, no more EarthBound references for awhile.)

What Is DragonBlossom?


An indie 16-bit action adventure platformer with RPG elements based off of elements from the Donkey Kong Country, Sonic, Klonoa and Okami, alongside many others. Choose between Adventure or Classic as Ayasuka and her friends are sent into an journey that rooted from the distant past on mains to stop an evil force from taking complete control of the Kingdoms.

I know I have explained some of the storyline on the old thread but this game, as much as it's going, still has issues to get out there. Though we have some progress with the indie game however we are still lacking in tileset (environments) artist as well as enemy design. Reason is because I have enough to handle with writing, concept, pixelling and even other means.

In fact, there's even a very early prototype gameplay video I am about to share to you.




This video was made by a fellow member of the team who has permission for use.

Guys, as much as I don't want to sound like I'm begging, people are noticing this game has the potential to be an awesome project and whenever that is going on, you can and will get nervous. It's alot of pressure but I know that as long as we keep our heads up, we can and will get this finished. As I said before, I have alot on my plate and we will need all the help to get this thing really going on the move.

Mechanics:
We're looking at Ayasuka homing in towards the Donkey Kong Country games with some combat involved (far left), Seichi is a combo of weapon combat (something like a staff combat scenario) along with stealth and pacing (middle) and Mao is the combat heavy, Action RPG (something like Dust: An Elysian Tale). (far right)

All will have some form of exploration involved.

Hey guys, this is Arkenova once again, bringing to you a recruitment thread for the developing indie game, DragonBlossom. Now, I did say to contact me about the details but since that isn't exactly going to help out much to get people's attention, I thought to drop a recruitment thread on the forums.


BASIS

Environment
- Must be familiar with the Sonic-esque/ some of the DKC format.
- Must be 16-bit.
- Creativity is a MUST. The more creative this is, the better.
- Be able to create scenery for not only the levels but the HUD worlds. (Yes, this game will have Sonic Adventure means of exploration implemented on.)

Enemies
- Must be familiar with the Sonic-esque format.
- Must be 16-bit.
- Your source material for enemies (especially Bosses) will deal with mythology of Asian/Japanese culture (well, not all of them, there will be some variety.)
- Creativity is a MUST. The more creative this is, the better.

Payment
There will be a revenue share once the project is finished, however we are still deciding on a release window. However, I am more than willing to negotiate prices accordingly.
