Sharing Save States?

$

I don't suppose anyone can share a save state or two of Looney Tunes: Cartoon Conductor for the DeSmuME Emulator?

I need save state that involves:

All of the stages being unlocked
All of the Character Bios unlocked
All Music Unlocked in JukeBox

But most importantly, a save state or two that involves replays of all the stages being cleared at the best rank, maybe A or S?

I might have a good idea on how to extract and rip sprites and backgrounds from that game.

Need C+C on simple sprite

Zoomed for easier glance.

I am going for an older Commodore 64-esc feel with my project.  This is the protagonist.  I am drawing some inspiration from Project Firestart, but looking to create my own "style" instead of copy/pasting from other games.  I like what I have done so far for my level of skill.

The left arm feels off to me.  I can't put my finger on it.
I really want this idle stance to be near 100% before I work on the few animations my project requires.  I don't plan on changing my palette.  It's not C64, but it is the C16's, which has 120 colors which is plenty for my project.

Anyway, really looking for any suggestions on improving the right arm and such.

Hello. I don't have Pvz: gw on my pc, but a steam user named Mister Prawn had ripped models of the game and ported into gmod, so if you have the game, I want you find the folder that has the sound files of the game and then rip it.

I made these a long time ago but there was never a custom textures section on the VG resource. Now there is, so I think these might come in handy for someone making a render or mod!

I don't know if these will help anyone or not, but should you use them credit is always appreciated!

Koji Igarashi's Newest Project - possible reveal today

NeoGAF link to speculation thread, so take this with a grain of salt

So, apparently some Castlevania fans have been piecing together some new facts regarding IGA's latest project.  The tl;dr is that an image was circulating around PAX back in September that hinted at this new project, and an account that was linked to the picture (Quarterwomann) kicked up a few days ago and posted some cryptic shit to the Castlevania Dungeon and the Chapel of Resonance under the name of "IGAVANIA".

Today's supposed to be a full moon, and the twitter account made a mention of "lots to report" regarding the moon earlier yesterday.  If the speculation's right, we may be seeing a new successor to Metroidvania.

Again, I don't know how much of this is going to be true, seeing as how this is all still speculation, but frankly I've been dying for a new IGA Castlevania game since OoE and I'm willing to sit here and hype this up.  From the looks of things, this is very likely going to be a pixelart game, so we might be back to the 2D formula once again.  I'm hoping this is all true and not one giant hoax.

PC ripping help (uMod)

Hello. I am relatively new to ripping, having really only done a couple minor, personal projects over the years. A few games I've recently played on PC (via Steam, mostly) over the past few months have had me wanting to try my hand at it again. However, the software I've had suggested (uMod) to try to rip a number of sprites/textures at once (mainly levels/tileset stuff) doesn't seem to be working. I figure it's probably something I'm doing on my end, and very likely something silly that I'm just not catching.

For reference, I've started with trying to load the Steam version of Freedom Planet (which I understand is being ripped by RandomTalkingBush, but I wanted to rip some later stuff from it they haven't gotten to, yet). I've tried loading the game by using Global hook and booting normally, then adding the game via uMod's menu. I've tried turning global hook off and running the game (via the exe in the game's steam folder) through uMod. But, I can't seem to get the "Save all textures" to work (or the "save single texture" option). I am setting it all up and hitting "Update" before loading the level I want via time attack. I've also tried setting up all the texture capture settings before loading the game.

I know from a few places I've lurked online that others (including RTB) have had success with this game and uMod. Am I using the program/loading the game wrong? Or does it simply not work with the Steam version (I've tried downgrading to the 1.20.2 version, as well as the current version) and only with the Humble version?

Any help would be greatly appreciated (I can grab some screenshots in a bit, of my settings or whatever, if that would help).

An evil Being called Master Core, Started it’s Evil Plan of Fusing a Bunch of Worlds Together, oddly enough a lot of People Started to Follow him, They are called Core’s Stars.
Start of the History:
It’s a normal day at Peach’s Castle, but something was fishy, it’s been months already and Bowser hadn’t tried to Kidnap Princess Toadstool, so Mario & Luigi decided to go investigate, at the middle of the trip, Luigi fell on a Fissure, though Mario continued alone, when finally arrived at Bowser’s Castle, he noticed it’s plain empty… And that’s where the game Starts.
3)Worlds

World 1: The Mushroom Kingdom
Mario’s world, expect bunch of Mario related stuff here.
It’s divided in 4 Parts, though 1 of them is optional.
Zone 1: Bowser’s Domain, You start the game on Bowser’s domain, expect some lava, desert and cave themed levels.
Zone 2: Sky Sky Plains, Here as the name suggests, is a Sky themed zone, but it also has Water and Forest Themed Levels.

World 2: Sonic World
I’m not a big fan of Sonic, I don’t know much about it, after I read some Wiki articles I will write something here.

World 4: Fantasy Realm
It’s a world with Rpg Themed Levels, expect levels about: Zelda, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy and even Klonoa.

World 5: Earth
It’s a world based on the Real World, so stuff from games, like: Gta, Fps games, etc, appears here, also there’s real locations here too.

Is there a way to change the BG Color?

Simple enough, these models are simply proprietary, however I have yet to extract them properly. Animations, models, skeletons and textures each exist as their own single files. I have here two prominent ones of interest. Hopefully I can get at least textured and UV'ed static models from them both, if anyone is willing to help figure them out.

Hi! I'm new here. I'm trying to learn how to make pixel art.
I'm not very good drawing so I've started with simple things.

A simple player:

I tried to animate this but I don't know how to animate those tiny legs Cry

Character base (muscles needed) C+C

Here is my latest and greatest muscle baby! Yes I know muscle baby bases are frowned upon, but I aim to expose the details at times, and also they could help me hypothetically animate it.

Here is what I can see being wrong here....
1. The perspective is a little "odd" I can't quite tell if the abdominal area is wrong for the piece...
2. The arms could use more shape...not sure if it needs outline adjustment or more shading
3. Unless I messed up somewhere there are 3 colors...it might need some blending but that is definitely not a strong point.
4. The stance...personally I like how dynamic it is but I could be wrong.

I haven't the foggiest on where to go from here as I never tried a base of this caliber and wouldn't know how to rotate it or animate it. That all being said I'm very proud of this piece and would love to see it's potential.

Please teach me how to do these things so that I may do this piece justice.

I will be posting any future updates here. Thank you for your time

Hello First off this is pretty much my first post into a forum or blog or anything similar. I usually tend to go to forums for different info and often find it by a question someone previously asked. Obviously I'm having a bit of trouble at the moment. I could use some help I am wanting to work on making a revision to pokemon battle revolution. I understand MightyJetters has a guide he posted that explains how to do it yet I am stuck at the part where I believe I should have .brres files yet the only files from it I have gotten are mainly .fsys files. I believe my trouble comes in not knowing what to use to delve deeper into them to get the model/cgi info out of them or perhaps I may be missing a partition. I am getting two partitions from PBR. This is pretty much my first attempt at game modifying and I apologize if you all have heard this before. Just for informational purposes I have blender and Unity on my pc I have done some work in both of them and am getting a better understanding I feel as I go along. The plan is I'd like to use the sprites/models from PBR along with a bit of the coding if I can and then add My own maps and terrain to pretty much bring the Gameboy/DS versions of pokemon to 3 dimensions and incorporate some new games and abilities as well as make the entire pokemon world accessible in one game. I know it's rather a large dream but I feel it could work. Thank you for your time and understanding and have a wonderful day.

Trouble having my fish swim

Hello, I'd really appreciate some advice on this. I am trying to animate a barracuda type fish. The issue is that I can sort of visualize the fish's fins moving back and forth but when it comes to actually animating, it seems to be a much more difficult task. What I have so far looks like he is swimming in some sort of octopus like motion instead of in and out. some advice or help is welcomed.

Feel the "Character" of Games Have Gone Down?

Something I've been thinking on for a while now.

Back in the late 80s and early 90s, game developers had to work with and around the limitations of the console hardware.  Not just graphics, but also music and sounds too.  Due to this, it was very much possible to be able to tell what console a game was on, just by listening to it.  Sega Genesis (and by extension, the NEC PC-9801, since they used similar chips) had a very distinctive sound, and you'd know a Genesis game when you heard it.  The same characterization, of course, extended to the other 8-bit and 16-bit consoles, like the SNES having a very distinctive sound.  In terms of graphics, the color limitations forced the developers to get the most out of what was available to them.  This led to some either bland-looking games, or games that still hold up with an amazing art style to this day, such as Seiken Densetsu 3.

But the moment the 32 and 64-bit eras come, that characterization seemed to go down.  3D was still early on the consoles, so the graphics still had much growing to do.  Rarely would anyone ever say early 3D graphics hold up to this day though.  No longer were developers hindered by console limitations in terms of sprites and music either, as one could literally insert a fully orchestrated soundtrack into the game with ease, and use as many colors as they deemed necessary on sprites.

So without the limitations in place, I'm saying games overall (not every single one, but just in general) have started to bleed together in terms of graphics and sound.  All the games that try to look realistic look more or less the same, and since there are no limitations on sound, all the soundtracks sort of bleed together with the same high quality instruments and such.  This isn't to say the graphics aren't GOOD and the sound/music isn't GOOD, but rather that the character is lost, since they aren't forced to get the most out of limitations.

What are your thoughts?  Do you agree, disagree?

EDIT: This is excluding the indie game scene! I'm well aware they're the primary group bringing freshness in this day and age, lol. This is mainly concerning the mainstream games with the mainstream companies.

Nintendo is Coming to Universal Studios?!

Excuse me, but can you make a Tiara model for my Sonic X-Treme Project?)
