Does anybody know if there's a model extractor for pirate warriors 3 on pc, like the one they have on another post here for the second game, where you placed the extractor on the same folder as the a, b, c, d files

Skyla's Sprite Hut

Eh, I guess I can throw this up here?  I was looking through my old stuff and thought of it, so...

I mostly do frankensprites and RPG Maker stuff.  Because one day I will actually finish an RPG Maker game I start.  I was browsing through my stuff on Tumblr and stumbled over one of my entries for P4Week2014.

I adore Izanami on so many levels.  Awesome goddess will never be made insignificant by a crazy tsundere in my heart. Shy

Took Yukiko as a base and mishmashed parts from other characters to make it work (mostly Labrys, with some protag and Rise).  Who knows, maybe one day I'll go back and do something more canon for her.

Bloody Roar Primal Fury / Extreme Beast models

Is it possible that someone could rip the Bloody roar Primal Fury / Extreme Character Models and upload them to the Models Resource(preferably in .dae format)? Because I'm a fan of the game and it would be awesome to mess around with the character models. The characters I'd like to find are:

Decompressing .s14 files

Hello guys.

Since I'm pulling graphics off of the Code Geass DS game, I figured I'd do the same thing for the audio as well.  The sound effects are in a nice audio bank, but the character voices are compressed in .s14 files.  I know it's a MPEG file in there, but I don't know how to decompress it.

Here's one of them as an example.

Thank you in advance. Cute

Frozen: Double Trouble sprites in the style of Hummer Team

When i submitted the following sheets, they were rejected due to "low quality standards", and I was sent here to receive "constructive feedback and suggestions".

Kristoff:

Anna:

Olaf:

I took the original sprites (ripped by ShadeDBZ) into Paint.NET, scaled them down by 33%, and recoloured them in only 4 colours each (with the exception of Anna, who has 5) from various Hummer Team games (mostly Mortal Kombat II [MK1 port]). I'm still proud of them, and they even fit with sprites from Hummer's [later] fighting games.

UNDERTALE

hi. i'm back from the dead to talk about undertale because why aren't you guys talking about undertale.

this game came out nearly two weeks ago, but the demo (which you should play if you're at all on the fence) has been out since mid-2013.

the game itself is a jrpg with a couple of neat mechanics not usually seen in jrpgs. while attacking enemies is fairly straightforward, when enemies attack you, you have to move a heart symbol around in a confined area while objects of varying sizes and shapes comes at you from various angles. the sizes, shapes, and angles are all determined by what enemy/enemies you're fighting, and different enemy attack patterns will stack when facing more than one in battle. this bullet-hell-like system leads to much more active and engaging battles without delving into the realm of real-time strategizing, simultaneously relieving some pressure while adding pressure in a different area.

the other big mechanic is mercy.

in undertale, you don't have to kill anyone. the battle menu has two submenus that exist mostly to serve this: ACT and MERCY. every enemy in the game has their own unique set of actions the player can perform on them, such as "compliment" or "threat", which can potentially put them in a state where they no longer want to fight. in that situation, you can show mercy by sparing them, ending the battle right then and there. however, you won't gain any EXP if you do this.

as a result of this second mechanic, there are many ways to play undertale. will you be a pacifist, refusing to fight anyone? or will you strike down everyone in your path and become stronger? or, maybe somewhere in the middle...?

there is a lot more to this game than what it seems.

Does anyone have a clean Meshlab download?

If you don't know, Meshlab is a freeware, 3D modeling tool.

I want to download Mesh lab so I can export to VRML and rip N64 graphics again. But after I brought a new computer and sold my old one, I lost the software.

I was going to download it again, but the software seems to be only on Source Forge, which has been notorious for the amount of viruses and hacked installers they've been placing into their downloads, lately, and I don't want to risk anything on a new computer.

So, I was wondering if anyone else who as the software can help me out, here.

Looking for pixel artist for 8-bit platformer

I'm currently working on an 2D platformer with one other person. We're looking for a pixel artist who can animate the characters, enemies, effects and certain tiles (water, lava, etc) for our game.

The style of the game is stylized 8-bit, using the NES palette and trying to stay close within the limitations of the NES hardware with some liberties taken here and there. Think Mr. Gimmick.

Me and the other team member don't have a very high budget, so we think that what would work best for us is to pay in segments. We'll settle on a price, send you a small list of what we need and then pay appropriately depending on the complexity of the task, though if you have a better idea, we're all ears.

If you're interested, send me a PM. Include a portfolio and/or samples.

Bomberman Android Assets folder (.BIN .TEX files)

I am so close to ripping all the sprites but hit a hurdle, this android game has beautiful sprites but they are compressed as .text and .bin files. I have no idea how to extract them, if anyone could help that'd be great.

Here are some sample files for you to look at:

Tagging System

0
0
Ok guys, so while the Icon Renovation project is still rolling, Petie and I want to begin the planning stages of a tag system for the site.

The concept is that users can contribute tags to sheets and games, which will then allow people to find things based on a common theme - not necessarily the sheet or game's name.

We're planning to allow tags on both sheets and games, allowing us to do some pretty interesting things. However, we're trying to think of ways of making this better, and I figure the best method of doing so is getting suggestions from you.

I'll lay out a basic set of bullet points on what we plan:
Confirmed Features:
  • Tags can be applied to games & sheets.
  • Multiple tags can but submit at once to a game or sheet, sheets and games can have multiple tags applied to them.
  • Anyone can suggest tags for any sheet - not submitter based.
  • Tags will be displayed under a game and under a sheet - not in the information box at the top.
  • Tags will be displayed as buttons, allowing users to click them to find other items with the same tags.
  • On the tag submission page we will include common tags, maybe receive some suggestions from you guys?
Possible Features:
  • Cross filter two tags.
  • Filter by a sheet's tag and a game's tag.
One concern that I have is that common tags will become completely useless eventually. If somebody check the tag for "Protagonist" they will receive several thousand results. Perhaps we should have some kind of cross filter system if we can work out how to code one?

I'd like to suggest that one of the best uses for games with tags would be to include some core details. Simple things like companies that worked on the game (Nintendo, SEGA, etc. (JUST LIKE OLD TIMES!)) and release years.

We're happy to experiment a bit with the system to see what works and what doesn't, so any suggestions that you think might be a bit bombastic are more than welcome, but be prepared for us to say that it won't work or that it isn't really something we want to include.

One thing that Petie and I are unsure of is how to search for tags. If we include in the search bar at the top, should we list the sheets that match that tag in the page of results (possibly displaying WAY too much content) or should we list tags that match the search result? Would this only really ever result in 1 tag anyway? Should we make a second bar? Make it a link instead to a new page which lists all available tags? Maybe 2 drop downs so you can list only things that have 2 tags, like Pre-Rendered & Nintendo?

This could be a very, very strong system. However I want to make sure that we have everything set out from the start to prevent any irreversible decisions later.

Cheers,
Dazz

Computer bluescreened over night.

Computer blue screened at some point over night while I was running some diagnostic stuff. It was a dull hum when I got up. I didn't get an error message so I'm not sure what happened, but it took a really long time to start up. Anyone got an idea what could have caused it? I think I had it running defraggler.

I'm still trying to figure out if there was any damage. It seems to be running alright minus the slow startup but that might be because it had attempted to save a few things like my place in firefox.

Romancing SaGa monster ripping

So, I've been playing the original Romancing SaGa (thanks to the fan translation) and ripping the enemies along the way. I've just finished Albert's scenario and this is what I've got so far (jpg'd for my convenience):

I know I've missed some early enemies which should be easy to get, and a few bosses which I don't have much of an idea where to find.

Greetings!

Hi, I am just here to find someone to request free models to rip for me. I used to rip 3d models from N64 games before but now I am stuck with my new Mac computer and I no longer have the knowledge to rip models anymore. My last time was trying to rip some certain characters in Mario 64, Pokemon Snap, Kirby 64, and Banjo however nothing shows up on the folder where 3d models are suppose to be imported out along with textures. I was only able to start ripping models before when I was using windows XP and windows 7 until I started experience issues when I was using windows 8 after both computers died and crashed.

I haven't been back to 3D for a long time. I am more into doing 2D stuff like 8-bit and 16-bit graphics. I no longer use other people's graphics and I have always been doing everything from scratch that I never ever bother going back to spriters resource in years since I give up doing sprite comics and games using old graphics.

The reason why I am here now is to ask some certain folks around here to rip certain 3D stuff for my recent projects. They're not very much. I am going to request some models starting somewhere in the forums where it's appropriate to ask for this.

Thank you everyone and wish me luck!

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze study

My acquaintance over at Metroid2002/Retro Modding, Paraxade, helped make a wiki documenting TF (and other Retro Studios games) and its internal formats.

http://www.metroid2002.com/retromodding/...cal_Freeze

My aim? To be able to rip properly from this game: models, UV's, bones, animations, etc. If we can rip from all other Retro games, I feel TF should be cracked as well. Heck, even Smash Wii U was ripped from first.

I would like to find the best extractors / rippers from this community at my side to help me crack this sucker. We can rip almost seamlessly from Returns, but with TF's engine and formats restructured, we'd need to figure things out.

We would upload all applicable assets (sounds, textures, models and sprites) to VGResource. So, is anyone up to it?

Zelda II Remake/Revamp Pre-Alpha 004

Not going to go too extensive into the details at the moment.  The project has been ongoing for a few years and has seen 4 revisions (Minish Cap, Link's Awakening, Sword of Mana, and now Link to the Past styles).  This is by far the most solid the engine has been.

I already mapped out Hyrule in Link to the Past(couple years ago).  All that is left is caves, Death Mountain(inside), and the dungeons.  After the engine is complete, it'll just be plug n play.  I also have a 28 page design document I wrote that keeps the project focused.

Controls for now:
Arrow Keys to Move
D is the action button - grab, talk, dash if you have boots, open chests, etc.
S swings your sword, moves dialogue forward, and selects and item if you are in your inventory.
A uses the equipped item.
Enter pauses the game and enters the inventory screen.

Anyway, no screenshots, but here is what to expect:
-half-assed day/night cycle (morning comes suddenly)
-transitions (stairwells)
-3 sages complete with dialogue sequences(some skipped so you can get items)
-how a dungeon ends(mostly except for a final animation and going back to the overworld)
-7 big chests complete with items
-bomb and heart pick ups
-a text engine
-heart containers and pieces
-attacking
-dashing
-all active items function and most are finished

What to expect next?
NPCs...lots of them.  I want every NPC finished and in a single room.  Doesn't matter if they are story related, give you items, or just bags of air.
Experience system.  Right now, there is no way to get exp.  On the flip side, I already hard set levels for you(especially the magic level).  Everything is already coded that involves the levels, just not the way to obtain the levels.
More rooms.  Need more space for more goodies.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy.  PS Don't break the healthbar right now.  There is a way to get more than the max life, but in the final game you won't be able to.

[PAID] Commissioning Custom Pokémon GBA Sprites

0

Howdy folks, I'm working on a ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed and am willing to pay for sprites for three "Fakemon" I want to put in it. They're all evolutions to already-existing Pokémon.

For each Fakemon, I need a front battle sprite, a back battle sprite, a two-frame icon sprite, and a footprint sprite (for the Pokédex).

Example of the sprites I need:

Now, for the three Pokémon I need:
  1. An evolution of Bouffalant with wings, making him Normal/Flying. It's a visual pun on "buffalo wings." Since it's an evolution, also add things like extra horn rings and the sort. Sky's the limit.
  2. Two alternate evolutions of Dunsparce. Dunsparce is supposedly a snake with wings and a drill for a tail. For one evolution, I want his wings to develop to let him fly, making him Normal/Flying. In the other, I want his drill to develop to let him dig deep underground, making him Normal/Ground. His colors should change slightly to reflect the type differences. For both evolutions, his body should be elongated to look more like an actual snake. He should also appear awake and ready to fight.

Since this project is a bit open-ended with the design, we'll start with sketches and move to the sprites soon after. Note that although these are evolutions of existing Pokémon, I am not looking for modifications to their existing sprites. I want these to be totally new poses, built from scratch.

If you're interested, send an email to rob@kelle.tt and link to some of your sample work and a price quote. I am more than willing to negotiate a fair payment.

Didn't know where to put this. Where did the Lounge go? Who is president now??

Anyways, please click the image below and score my design "Oso Luchador"! A 5 would be great, but feel free to score it however you like.
