Yeah, I know it's silly, but the enemies and sprites in this game are pretty cool, cute, and diverse. Could anyone manage to rip them?

Unity and Bladder

Quick question for anybody in the know about megaman stuff. I'm starting to work on the more difficult monster AI (specifically blader, and cutman himself) and I'm finding it difficult to eyeball exactly how these monsters respond to the player. Does anybody know of anybody who has spent any time modding megaman who would know anything about how these monsters work?

How To Submit

Many new members often seem to be confused about how to go about submitting a sheet/model/texture/sound onto the site, since it's not immediately obvious. This is fair enough, but quite often we have to write out answers explaining how to about it. I decided that, instead of doing that every time, I may as well make a fully explanatory how-to on doing it on the wiki. If somebody could sticky this thread (maybe somehow make it appear in each site's board?), then hopefully new members will see this and it will mitigate the number of people asking how to submit.

Here's the link: http://wiki.vg-resource.com/wiki/How_To_Submit

Happy submitting!

Blue Stacks and 3Dripper DX

Hello, I am new to ripping and I am trying to figure out how to rip models from an Android game (Winx Fairy School Lite)  and I have found threads stating that you can rip from Blue Stacks with 3Dripper but I can't seem to manage it.  When attempting to find the .exe for the game I have to use the file labled HD-Run App.exe for Blue Stacks.  When that is executed without 3Dripper I can access Blue Stacks' main area and run the game from there.  But when I try to run it through 3Dripper it wont start.  It's rather frustrating.  Any help would be appreciated, or perhaps another method.  It's really just the environment models I want... and their respective textures.
Thank you.

Help getting into Hot Wheels Velocity X's files

I've recently been interested in ripping things from a game called Hot Wheels Velocity X, made in 2002 by Beyond Games and Saffire Corporation. I've gotten as far as I can and google can't help. I need help getting into some .xpc files. I've googled them and it did me no good because as far as I know, the game's resources aren't stored in action replay codes. Any help is greatly appreciated. I look forward to any progression on this

These xpc files are ripped by me from the PC version's disk.

Creating Sprite-Based Cutscenes (For AKIRA)

In 1994, an AKIRA game was in development for the SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, Game Boy, and Game Gear. Up until this year, the most information we had about the game was from scanty gaming articles and screenshots. However, recently a new video of gameplay was discovered, uncovering how the games levels would look, and most importantly for this post, how the animated cut scenes would look like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfHOynqolOQ

The version shown is of the Genesis version. at the 27-40 seconds mark is where we see the first cutscenes for the game. Since the Genesis could't run FMV without the CD attachment, the company painstakingly made these amazing scenes by pixel for the game. Pretty well animated for 16 bit limitations!

Since the ROM does not exist online, I was interested in recreating at least a few of those frames myself by spiriting, but I am unsure of where to start. Has anyone attempted something like this before? Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Smile

Ripping multiplayer GBA Sprites (Solved)

For a very long time I have been just trying, and trying to Rip all the sprites used in the Multiplayer mode of Mario Bros. Classic using Visual Boy Advance 1.8 with GBA Link but I just cant connect 2 emulator's together Local or Wifi without an ERROR message appearing when trying to connect. I know that GBA Link doesn't work with Super Mario Advance 1 to 4, so I tried using Mario & Luigi Super Star Saga, but that didn't work ether Sad Any idea's on how to Rip these Sprites?

Maybe I could use a Save State that someone here happens to have of them in Battle mode.
Maybe even an alternate emulator I could use instead for this.

Help with BioShock 1 textures

I've been trying to rip the models and textures from the game but many of the textures (diffuse and normal) have a very low resolution., here's a pic of Andrew Ryan:

How do I get the high res textures?

Texture comes out completely transparent but keeps colors intact?

Alright, so I've extracted almost all of Fire Emblem: Fates Character models, and at first glance, it seems their textures are mostly, if not completely, transparent. For example, Sakura's hair texture: http://imgur.com/5jXiEJI

Strangely enough, whn opened in Paint.NET, I can select colors that aren't visible on her hair texture. They just have their Opacity set to 0, and repeatedly duplicating the layer does nothing to solve this.

Anyway, I installed a tool in Paint.NET that can change this, but the texture loses all color, like this: http://imgur.com/9TUgMIX

Is there a tool or tutorial that can fix the texture being transparent while not losing all of the color?

The Original is NOT Always Better!

The thread to talk about remakes and ports, which you found better than the original release.

First, I must start with the GBA ports of FF4, FF5 and FF6.  There's a loud group of people that disliked what happened to the OST with these, because of the GBA soundchip, but I actually find a few tracks of each sound a lot BETTER than the original SNES version.

FF4, the Final Battle Theme.  It's faster, more blood-pumping and more urgent sounding.

FF5, Musica Machina, sounds more mystical and tribal with the new sounding drums in the background.

FF6, the Battle Theme.  I can't tell if the tempo was changed, but it definitely sounds more complete than the SNES original.  The original version is too quiet and doesn't have as much going on as the GBA version, and doesn't pump me up for battle as much.

All the PSP versions of the 2D FF games are without a doubt the definitive versions of the games.  They have proper rebalancing (mostly in FF1 and FF2; it no longer takes years to grind, and the hit-rate calculation error has bit fixed.), lots of extra content to play around with, and for FF4's case, you get a game (The After Years) that was originally DLC The Game in a complete package with bonus content.

Super Mario All-Stars on SNES.  The worlds look a lot more colorful and alive with all the panorama and enhanced palette.  There's no contest for which world I'd jump (pun totally intended!) into.

Also, there's a save feature.  That automatically makes these better than the original, because you don't have to leave your console on all night!  Lol.

That's off the top of my head for now, but I'll remember more later~  Go for it peeps!

Hey guys! So, as some of you may have seen awhile back I was developing a Mario fan-based MMORPG. Although things happened in which development has stopped, BUT! I am happy to announce that not only is development resuming, but I am recreating a brand new engine for it in C# featuring the DirectX 12 graphics engine, with Visual Studio 2015. I am currently flying solo on this project, although I am open to anybody who wants to be a part of it. I will update the post as progress is made, hopefully we can establish a much better base this time around!

Sonic Free Riders: Zero Gravity

Okay, so, the extraction of the CVM is stupidly simple to the point 7-zip can do it, but the resulting files remain a mystery. I am specifically looking for Sonic's board, and SCR-HD, but first we need a method to extract the models and textures. Does anyone have any insight on this? I've got example files here.
