Rhythm Heaven (DS) Ripping... Help?

$

I want to try and rip some of the Rhythm Heaven (DS) Games. Big Grin  I've done a few, such as DJ School (+ Custom Sequel) and Frog Hop (Partial), and I'm even working on a Dazzles 1 rip. Wink  But, the reason why I cannot rip certain things, such as the background in Frog Hop, is because they're oddly colored.  Nervous

See, I used CrystalTile to rip the sprites, but I seem to have complications whenever I try to rip the sprites from certain games. Rolleyes  For example, when I try to rip the sprites from Rockers, they're all pitch black, all of them! When I try to rip the Frog Hop 2 sprites, they're too bizarrely colored for me to work around. And when I try to rip Crop Stomp sprites, either the vegetable sprites are bizarrely colored, or the program crashes when I try to load up certain sprites.  Very Sad

If you could help me, then that would be just swell, as I would like to keep ripping sprites from Rhythm Heaven (DS). If anybody could help me, then please contact me as soon as possible, thanks.   Tongue

Configuration of emulator ePSXe for ripping sprites?

Hello,
I decide to ripping several sprites from game Torneko for PlayStation using for that psx_vram program. I'm already know how to use this program, but sprites from psx_vram sheet is difference in size from emulator screenshots. I use ePSXe_v1.9.25a emulator and my monitor has 1280x1024 screen resolution. Can someone tell me optimal emulator configurations for right original vision, like it to be in game, without filtering and others optimizations? Its be better if you demonstrate it in screen-capture of config main video plugin and soft plugin.

Some sprite animations from this game you can already see on my DA page - > http://mic32.deviantart.com/

I afraid maybe my works has some mistakes in pixel organization or color index from it original.

PS: Sorry for the poor English.

Hey guys,

I need some help with ripping some bionicle models from "Bionicle Heros" (PC) or "Bionicle: Mask of creation" (mobile). I tried to do it myself but, unfotunatly didn't succesed. I would like to make some papercraft figures out of it.

Could somone upload some models from those games?

There are already some from Bionicle Heros, but im looking for Bohroks, Vakhi and Kanohi Masks.

Point Commissions (using deviantART's Point Currency)

Since I already know that requesting may not be the best method into getting sprites, textures, models and sounds ripped, especially now that I'm already hated and loathed by everyone on this site, so I figured I might try Commissions instead.
But not the "monetary/paid" commissions you might be thinking about. (Because my dad is telling me NOT to spend ANY money from my bank account because I'm on student loan. And when you're on student loan, it means that you are not allowed to spend any money from your account at all.)

But instead, how about if we try Commissions in a much different way?

For those of you who have deviantART accounts, there is a currency system feature called "Points".

I may not be able to pay with actual money, but for those who are trying to collect a lot of points on deviantART, maybe we can make some sort of deal.

If anyone wants to rip stuff from any video games that I suggest, I'll gladly pay anyone with points.

But... there is this one catch:

I can't handle high amounts of point prices, like having to pay over 300 or over 500.

If we can compromise on a much more reasonable price, I will accept it.

Would this make anyone feel better?

Or...

Would everyone rather call me a monster who's loathed and hated by everyone and can't make any good deals with anyone?

Here is a outlined, detailed list of what I want ripped:

Sprites:

Bugs Bunny's Rabbit Rampage (all ACME Items used and its hud items, the HUD itself)
Road Runner's Death Valley Rally (Tilesets and Backgrounds from all stages)
Desert Demolition (BG Rips/Tilesets from all Stages)
Porky's Haunted Holiday (BG Rips from all Stages)
Sylvester and Tweety's Cagey Capers (Tilesets from all Stages)
Speedy Gonzales: Cheese Cat-astrophe (Sylvester Boss Sprites, BG Rips/Tilesets from all Stages, Enemies, Items, Fonts)
Taz: Wanted (Gallery Extras)
Looney Tunes: Double Pack (Everything from "Dizzy Driving", Road Runner from "Acme Antics", Wile E. Coyote [everything from "Acme Antics"])

Models:

Looney Tunes Racing (Desert Stages, Weapon Props)
Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time (The 1930's stages and 1930's HUB World, Safes, Anvils, Explosives)
Taz: Wanted (Sam Franciso HUB & Stages Wile E. West HUB & Stages, all Breakable Boxes and Stuff, Detonators, Anvil, Safe, Weight Ton, Piano, Explosives, Explosive Crates, stuff in Wile E.'s den [from Granny Canyon])
Taz Express (all Wile E. Coyote-themed stages, "Taz on the Run", "Taz in a Spin", etc., Cartoon-themed tricks, traps, props, etc.)

Textures:

Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time (same as the models)
Taz: Wanted (same as the models)
Taz Express (same as the models)

Sounds:

Looney Tunes: ACME Arsenal (All Sounds and Voice Clips)
Looney Tunes: Back in Action (All Sounds and Voice Clips)
Looney Tunes Racing (All Sounds and Voice Clips)
Looney Tunes Space Race (All Sounds and Voice Clips)
Bugs Bunny's Rabbit Rampage (all sounds, if possible)
Road Runner's Death Valley Rally (All Sounds, if possible)
Desert Demolition (All Sounds, if possible)
Wile E.'s Revenge (All Sounds)
Taz: Wanted (All Sounds and Voice Clips)
Taz Express ((All Sounds and Voice Clips)

You can discuss Point Payment Plans through PM, or on the Note Systems over on deviantART. But I can't promise you high amounts of points. There are limitations to how much points I can give. (Not over 500, 1,000 or higher, that's for sure)

[Blender] Baking Vertex Colours & UV Texture Simultaneously

$

Hey all. It's been a while, but I decided to take up a project again after abandoning the others I had planned.

I ripped a model of Crash Bandicoot riding his motorcycle from Crash Bandicoot 3, using chekwob's CrashEdit program to extract the files and warenhuis' Crash-Bandicoot-2-Modelexport tool to export the model to a .PLY file and the textures to a .TGA file. I converted the texture to a .PNG to optimise file size.
Then I imported it into Blender, linked the exported texture to the UV map, separated the model's transparent and opaque sections into different materials and applied appropriate settings for both.
(I also multiplied the size of the texture by 10 because I couldn't disable texture filtering in the Blender scene without breaking the transparency of textured polygons with vertex colours on them.)
I'm left with a great looking model, but I unfortunately I don't know how to proceed from here.
Firstly, I want to figure out the source of the unusual black squares on the model and fix that issue (notice the black spot near the end of the front wheel fender and the sides of the fork.)
Then I want to find a way to bake the Vertex Colour and UV Map channels simultaneously into one texture, if possible.

If anyone thinks they can help me with either issue, let me know. I'm happy to upload the Blender scene and additional assets if they're found necessary.

c'mon. let it all out. there isn't one person on this earth who at least gave a nice smile upon seeing a favorite character make an appearance in whatever they were interested in.

growing up, i tried to fit a norm by liking characters of opposite sex, so it was always Mario, Sonic, Gohan from DBZ, etc for me. but nowadays i slap myself for not having a crush on bulma (before Z especially). while pretty quirky in her own way, she's probably the only female character of the series that toriyama has the most respect for, because she's so involved for most of the story. and she's really smart. if she hadn't helped bring Android 18 back to life, Cell would have destroyed the entire universe.

i also discovered hatsune miku when i was in high school. around 2011, about four years after her conceptualization. she was like at the top of my list for a while, and still kinda is. what i'd give to be able to compose music with her on vocals.

Heya!
I'm Eivuiee, which is really just a way for my original screenname to stand out a bit.

So, really, I'm Eevee! Nice to meet you!

If I'm honest I only made an account on here a couple days ago, when I needed to make a post asking for help.
But it doesn't really hurt to make an intro post, even if my postings here will be sparse.

So, I guess for an intro..
  • I live in Germany, born and raised in the capital city. But despite the active surroundings, I'm kind of a NEET.
  • I'm an artist, and I take pride in my skills. I try to contantly keep improving by challenging myself.
My biggest fault when it comes to art is that I barely ever draw original concepts, and that I still struggle with realism.
  • A while ago I started making mods for Super Smash Bros for Wii U. Mostly texture hacks. It took some dedication getting everything I needed to work, but it turns out it's really fun!
  • I was raised on the SNES and N64, got quite the affinity for Nintendo because of that.
  • Despite loving video games, I actually don't play them quite as much. Growing up watching my brother play... Let's Plays are a great gateway for me.
Yeah, I think that about does it for now!
Thanks for reading, and if you have any questions, go ahead and ask~!

lmao like five people ever read these intro posts anyway

Greetings & Salutations! My name is Joe and I am currently working with the very talented David Szilagyi (Creepy Pokemon, see link below!) on an awesome new video game project involving his twisted and macabre art style and being created in Unity. We are currently looking for additional sprite creators to join our team to help with our development. If this sounds like an interesting project to you please contact me for more information, thanks!

PS2 - Spy VS. Spy

This one I really need help with. It's just one model I need but no matter what I do I can't seem to get it. I'm attempting to find a way to extract the model file-wise but it's difficult to figure out the archives of the game. What I'm looking for is the "Lady in Grey" character from the PS2 Spy VS. Spy game. I really need her for a special project I'm working on and this is taking up a lot of time. I'd prefer in T-Pose, or whatever base pose the models come in. She's the only one I need, but feel free to rip the other Spy characters if you wish, I could still use them.

Hello guys, im new! also i need some help please lol

Danganronpa 1 + 2 PSP Model Ripping

Recently I noticed that none of the Danganronpa models have been ripped / shared on The Models Resource so I decided "Why not do it myself rather then wait for other people to do it", so here I am starting this project.

I have started with Danganronpa 2 and will start doing Danganronpa 1 later. Neither of the lists are in any way  a complete list of all the models at the moment as if I sat here writing all the models I wouldn't get anything ripped, I will try to update the lists frequently though.

Properly ripping out .nud and .nut files and converting them to .obj files

I apologize if there's another thread for this, but I have searched on this forum and found no post that explicitly states what program I must use to run my .nud and .nut files on and what plugin I must use to convert them to have them usable in other 3D programs like Autodesk. A friend has found the files of .nud and .nut Pauline model in Sm4sh and I am looking for a proper way to have them usable on my desired program.

If anyone can help me, thank you in advance.

Now that we're getting submissions for this, what are the rules for accepting? Only the default stuff?
Do we take a stance as with any other fan game and assume that a release to the public is an invitation to have your sprites ripped and hosted?
If so, wouldn't those just go to those respective sections?

An Unpleasant Question

Absolute Convenience is a person not having to recolor a sprite when they need it.
Absolute Convenience is a person not having to flip and rotate a sprite when they need it.
Absolute Convenience is a spritesheet that has every possibility considered.
Absolute Convenience is a spritesheet that doesn't require mandatory guesswork and assembly.
Absolute Convenience is a spritesheet that displays exemplary neatness and arrangement.
Absolute Convenience is one of the greatest friends an animator can ask for.

Absolute Convenience... is the enemy of tedium, inconsideration, and moral myopia.

People of TSR, before I present my case, all that I ask of you right here and right now is to see for yourself and compare these sheets with one another and make a decision based on your findings.

Random Talking Bush is a long-time and well-respected member of TSR.
As an Administrator, he has moral responsibilities which are to protect and preserve the integrity of the archive by accepting good-quality submissions and rejecting poor-quality ones.
And this responsibility requires both impartial judgement and a keen eye for details.

But out of the recent and mild pain in my heart... there is a question that I wonder why I being forced to ask.

Why?

Why has Random Talking Bush... suffered a lapse of judgement and, in doing so, shirked his moral responsibilities to TSR?

Why has he willingly obstructed me, due to moral myopia, in spite of the absolute truth that my three Spritesheets, which have been rejected by him, are of the most Supreme Quality made possible and are thus the perfect replacements for his submission which is, beyond a shadow of doubt, obsolete?

Why has he committed... a dishonorable act of hypocrisy by protecting his own submission from me?

How do I change my icon/profile picture?

Hi there.

I recently joined The VG Resource so that I can post ripped sprites and custom sprites, yet I don't know how to change my icon picture.

Yes, I am a newbie at the site itself. Make fun of me, I guess. But I seriously just can't figure out how to change my icon. Can somebody please tell me how? Thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out!
