Spyro A Hero's Tail Rip

I'm trying to see if I can rip models from hero's tail using the extracted files from the iso

I see that the  "Filelist.bin" file seems to have all the models and everything
Example of the list:
x:\spyro\binary\_bin_gc\sgtbirdn.edb                                    : Len     143296 : Ver  240 : Hash 0x0100009b : Ts 0x00000000 :  Loc     eb8e800:000
x:\spyro\binary\_bin_gc\sgtbrdbp.edb                                    : Len      51168 : Ver  240 : Hash 0x01000047 : Ts 0x00000000 :  Loc     ebd0000:000
x:\spyro\binary\_bin_gc\shark.edb                                       : Len      56000 : Ver  240 : Hash 0x01000075 : Ts 0x00000000 :  Loc     ebdd000:000
x:\spyro\binary\_bin_gc\sheep.edb                                       : Len     114880 : Ver  240 : Hash 0x01000036 : Ts 0x00000000 :  Loc     ebec000:000

I know I can rip them using Ninja ripper or DX Ripper but I've read on a forum on facepunch that you can get the models by memory dumping + hex editing
here is what the person said on the post

"
Quote:Ahhh, I know why. It's because the game uses the "MDL0" model format, which is the most common format for Wii games.

The files themselves I think are encrypted, but you should be able to get them through a memory dump and a hex editor. There's a program simply called ProcessMemoryDumper which does exactly what it says on the tin, then you just use the hex editor of your choice to search for "bres" in the dumped file, and just trim everything before that. Then, open the saved file in brawlbox and you should be good to go. Unless the model you're looking for isn't there, in that case jump to the next "bres" entry and delete everything before that, and so on.

With that program, you can view and export models as DAE, which will retain the model's original bone structures and rigging. Alternatively, you could try BRRESVIEWER which can export to MD5/PSK, but it doesn't work quite as well as BrawlBox in my opinion."

I myself don't know much about Hex editing or know how to memory dump.
I do have the programs I tried PowerIso to open the bin file but it just gave me errors.  Unsure

Also what ripper should I use Ninja ripper or 3d ripper dx

Super Metroid cleanup

I know the Megaman project is still going on, and I may be overwhelming us with projects, but here we go.

The Super Metroid section is a mess. There are a lot of incomplete sheets, or things ripped back when we didn't really know what we were doing with ripping. Here's a short list of things I noticed, but I'm no Metroid expert, so feel free to correct me.

General
-Recolor backgrounds to make them not pure white.

Samus
-Crystal Flash sprites in general
-Varia/Gravity Suits are just recolors, right? We could join them together.
-Here and below are missing from Varia/Gravity Suits.
-Grapple Beam
-Shinespark
-Screw Attack
-Death
-More?

Crocomire
-Death (in acid)
-Skeleton

Kraid
-Palette, deconstruct?

Ridley
-Palettes, break into parts? Make sheets cleaner?

Mother Brain
-Combine/Streamline sheets
-Palette options
-Tank without brain?
-Reorganize

Metroids
-Add artificial Metroids and Mochtroids to enemy sheet.

Space Pirates

-Wall Climbing Sprites
-Alternate palettes

Fake Kraid
-Deconstructed

Torizo
-Rerip in parts
-Palettes
-Add palette swap (yellow)
-Add dust effects from final area

Intro

-Add Crateria and Samus's Ship to intro.

Ending
-Zebes sprites (Mode 7), Sebes Destruction (Mode 7), Clouds from escape (Mode 7)

Menu
-Add Menu sprites and objects

PS2 .SBF File Help

So I've come across these .SBF files from a PS2 game called Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am. I'm pretty sure these are the model files, for everything else is under sound and video. Does anyone have a clue on how to decompile these? (see attached for example)

Thanks for any help.

I need the forest of hope's model, but no matter what i try, either it doesn't work, or i just get forest.mod, which is the model, but unusable.
So either i need a program that can rip it as a .obj, .3ds, .bmd, etc. Or i need something that can convert .mod to something i can open in a 3d modeling app. Also if you have managed to rip the forest of hope's model as something that can be opened by another 3d modeling app, please send me it!

Tony Hawk Underground 2 Model Pack

So awhile back I did this huge project for the Tony Hawk Gaming Community and ripped, rigged, and converted 484 models from THUG2.
It was to bring attention the to active mod known as THUGPRO. After sorting through my desktop I realized I saw the ripping tutorial I used for the game from this site.
So it only feels right to give the site back for helping me out and providing such great resources.

I provided a Google Drive link of all my project files consisting of:
  • 148 x 125 PNG renders
  • SMDS and compiling scripts(QC) for SOURCE engine games
  • 165 sticker tags used in the game for sticker slapping
  • 114 rigged characters 3DS MAX and smds
(some with alternative bodies and textures)
  • 338 Create-A-Park models 3DS MAX and smds
  • 32 Props (skateboard, handhelds, cosmetics, logos, ect.)
  • 3 custom models of logos made by yours truly

For those that would like to see the project all this was for, feel free to snoop on over to the link below Smile

Can someone rip character sprites for in this game the:

the main 4 enforcers
Valmot
the demon sorcerers
Shadowkahn

and backgrounds for:
the first level

I managed to rip Captain Black, Jade, and Uncle a few years ago, but don't really have time these days, the sprites are big for the GBA and using VBA they are still split up into multiple parts. I also know that on sprite database there are some rips of Jackie and a background from the third level.

Can someone help me convert some files?

Since I'm currently having some technical difficulties with running the Amiga version of First Samurai, I decided to give ripping sprites from the DOS version a try. So I grabbed a zip folder containing all the contents of the game, and looked inside.

The good news is that the graphics for the game are all in cleverly-labelled image files. Big Grin

The bad news is that the files are in .PIC format. Surprise

Now I've googled for ways to convert the files to a different format, but unfortunately, every converter I tried just gave me a error and could not convert the files to ones that my computer can read.

So I need some help. If I send you guys the files, could one of you take the time to convert them from .PIC to either .PNG or .BMP? I'd appreciate it if you do.

P.S: sorry if I put this in the wrong thread.

PSX Alundra massive rip in .png with transparency (450+ sheets) and cut items

I recently ripped a seriously large amount of Alundra sprites as a lot of the textures, objects and characters aren't available online anywhere. I don't have everything, but I have a lot of missing resources.

The problem is they are the raw sheets that were used in conjunction with pallet swaps to save space, so some sheets just look like a garbled mess when in fact there are one or two correctly colored sprites in every sheet (not sure if this is the norm or just Alundra using this method, it's my first rip).

I have zipped them and put them into folders to align with the color pallet selection, so if it's a character sheet with garbled colours but with a perfect coloured interactive object, it will be in objects. Same for all other folders (go easy, I will have missed some for sure. Ice pillars have gone somewhere...).

So yeah, here is the link for any enthusiastic sprite sheet organizers out there, all in glorious 256x256, unedited, transparent .png format!  Cool

p.s. There are some interesting things that turned up from the rip. First of all it seems Lurvy was intended to play a bigger role. There is a broken sword, a broken bow and presumably a broken flail (no spikes). Based on the fact that he has a half finished character portrait also tells me that he was likely set to repair all these broken items on a regular basis.

On top of this you will find 2 pairs of gloves (presumably for small stones and large like zelda), 4 rings (greater HP regen and greater attack boost (both working in game via editing and are called Oak's Ring (wrong icon) and Refresher Ring)) and 2 Armlets (presumably greater def boost).

For weapons there are 6 swords, 5 bows, 4 Flails.

And last but not least, 2 key items, a bone and a wrapped up gift.

Also magic recharge was intended at some point to drop from grass/enemies along with a small bag (contains a random consumable?) and a middle health regen, all this stuff was cut somewhere along the line.

I haven't heard mention of this stuff anywhere else (even on the main Alundra wiki) so I figured I would break it down for anyone interested.

Have fun  Wink

Help ripping sprites(?) from a game (Cat Girl Without Salad)

This game 'released' not too long ago for those who signed up for the Humble Bundle thing so not many people have gotten the chance to rip anything from it or even play it. I think we should probably change that. I found a download for it on 4chan (I'll just send the 4chan post rather than the link since I can't get to it at the moment / https://boards.4chan.org/v/thread/339840773) and that might help people find out where the stuff like the backgrounds and the character sprites are.

i have literally no clue on what to do send help

Help with finding a palette

$

So I'm in the middle of ripping sprites from the DOS version of First Samurai. I read in another thread that the sprites for most DOS games are found in the folder that the game is in, and it seems that the thread is right: the sprites for First Samurai are stored in .BIN files. Smile  I'm able to view the sprites just fine in TiledGGD, but I'm having trouble trying to locate the correct palettes.

Could someone who's more tech-savvy with TiledGGD (and DOS games) help me figure out which one of the game files is the palette? Or at the very least help me adjust TiledGGD's vanilla palette to not include so much black and repeated colors? I acquired First Samurai from here, and in case you're wondering, the sprites are located in the .BIN files that start with "SSPR".

I just made my own custom SMB3 Helicopter Powerup Sprite

Rpping sprites from Bedlam

Bedlam is a 1996 game originally released for DOS and uses 2D isometric graphics (http://www.myabandonware.com/game/bedlam-2n9).
The game directory has a folder called "GAMEGFX" that contains .bin, .pal, .smk, and .trn. Which sprite ripping program should I use?
