I have the 2006 game Murder on the Orient Express and while I am currently experiencing problems installing my copy, I was wondering if someone more successful would have a chance of ripping the sound files (dialogue and SFX) from that game onto this site.

I, and many others, hear about a leaked game version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, for wiiU.
So, because that someone can find it and start "working" on it?
But obyosly not publish anything here before the game  is ufficially on the markets.
I actually have the resources to lean how do that, and do that,
but that can be really interesting ;D

How to extract WSB, and WWB files?

I'm trying to extract the sounds of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, and Megatagmension Blanc + Neptune vs. Zombies for the PC. However I have no idea what these file types even are, let alone how to extract them. I can't find any guides out there so I'm wondering if anyone knows how to extract these files so I can use/upload them for others to use. I'd really appreciate any help I can get with using, and extracting these files.  Smile

Dan the man sprites successfully ripped!!!

I managed to rip the sprites from the mobile game "Dan the man": https://www.mediafire.com/?x9crr3iqjgr03b3
They're not complete and some of them contain graphical errors but I still have so many of them that I think they should get added to the Spriters Resource.

Please open the archive and tell me what you think. What should I do with them? Do you have an idea on how to improve them?
If you want to use the sprites, at least read the "TL;DR" section from the "readme.txt" file.

Ripping from Steam games? (SA2)

I'm trying to figure out how to rip the Chao models from the Steam version of Sonic Adventure 2. I tried using Ninjaripper, but it only saved the textures -- the "frames" folder is empty. 3DRipperDX didn't run at all; it doesn't seem to be compatible with the game. Does anybody have any suggestions? A "printscreen" ripper would probably be the best, but I haven't found any that work yet.

Alternatively, would it be better/easier to rip from the GameCube version instead?

Thanks!

Having a problem logging on the site.

I can log on to the VG resource just fine and the sounds resource, but for some reason the when I go to the spriters resource or the models, it always says "Hello guest!" And when I try to hit the login button it just reloads the page the same as it was, I'm effectively not able to login to those sites.

I even cleaned out my cookies and I have the same issue.

Extracted images appear as tiled pieces

I'm trying to extract images from the game Oregairu for PS Vita. I've managed to unpack the cpk file, but this gave me a hundreds of numbered .bin files.

These .bin files were arranged so every even numbered file was a GXT file, which I converted to PNG, and every odd was an unknown file which I've not been able to identify because each hex header is different.

The problem is these PNG files are cut up into pieces and tiled, so they appear like this: http://imgur.com/a/fq0i9

Upon researching, I found something called LayoutChild on these forums, which needed a PNG and a LAY file, so I assumed the next numbered .bin file was the LAY file, but it created a new folder but didn't make the images.

Does anyone know how I can make the images normal?

Thanks, and here's a few of the files: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3vuJ-...V9GTGZpWWM

I was wondering if anybody had ripped the models of Laura, Kimberly or anybody else.
I keep trying to rip them myself, I but I think I'm just not that skilled.  Sad
If they aren't ripped already, could somebody please rip Laura and Kimberly?
and If you figured out how, could you maybe tell me how to do it?

Sprite sheets vs Zip files

I never completely understood why sprite sheets have been the preferred method to upload on the site, the reason I always
heard is that they are nicer to look at and quicker to approve, I get those points but overall they are more of a hassle to make
and use. While a nice zip file can have all the sprites exactly as intended and you could even provide animated gif's for animations
saving the customer the hassle of trying to properly animate them.

The only advantages I see for sprite sheets is that they are nicer to display on the site then a zip file but other than
that they are a waste of time.

Also let me just say that people can upload whatever they want, I just simply am wondering why Sprite sheets are preferred.

I just figured I would open up a discussion because I find it an interesting thing to discuss.

Simplified Menu RPGmaker VX

Hello everyone, after 2 days of digging up my old project and researching I've been able to come up with the best possible

GBC style menu for RPG maker VX ace!

I may also do one in a NES style as well.

Things to do.
-Edit transition of menus. (essentially have the menu just disappear rather than fade out)
-Edit the battle engine ( I found a decent DQ style one but has one error)
-Tile implementation
-edit music (i think i'll just rip music from obscure gbc rpgs)

How it looks

Flash Animation

It can look amazing if you use it to it's full potential. But if not it can come off as looking lazy (excessive use of motion tweens for example).

So what's everyone's overall opinion on it? I've been decompiling a lot of Flash games recently and it motivated me to ask.

Ok, I tried doing one myself - and well, it kinda sucks. If someone could do a good one for me that would be super awesome!

Basically big blue spiky hair and glasses. Everything else... just do whatever you want.

Need help ripping models from SSFIV 3DS

Hello, I'm here because I can't seem to get any help on ripping the model I want from the people on GBAtemp.

I extracted the RomFS of Super Street Fighter 4 3d edition so I could get the Chun-li model.
However... I've hit a roadblock.

All of the models(and possibly textures) are stored in a .arc format and the one unpacking/decompressing tool that works on Capcoms 3ds .arc format extracts the files but leaves them extension-less and thus unusable.

So I have 3 possible solutions.

Would it be possible to fix the files after extraction/decompression from the arc?

Is there a .arc extractor/decompressor that works on this specific format and will give me usable files after extraction/decompression?

Or my last resort could someone rip the classic Chun-Li model and textures for me?

Any help would be much appreciated! Big Grin

Definition of 'request'

I know that there is the rule about not using the comment section for making requests, so I'm curious about what you define as 'making a request'.

The reason I'm asking is because on one of the games I was looking at, one of the sprite sheets was taken down, so I was wanting to ask what happened with it.
