I mean like, select folder with zips and use the archive name as the sheet name.
And possibly make it look for icon prefixes (eg sheet_small; sheet_large)
That way if you set everything up correctly you can just make the site do it's thing instead of having to do it manually.

I again must ask for assistance

Hey everybody I came here a while back seeking help on the models from my game project...as I am not a good artist and such...

here is what I had accomplished
[Image: rl1FL9L.png]

since then the game has moved to 64x64 and I have been unable to find an artist who can or will help me so I started working on roughs that could pass as dev textures and this is a little test piece were I tried a few body types trying to get an anime chibi style

Ripped this creature model from the Shantae Gameboy Color Game. Probably the coolest enemy in the game, yet you only encounter one! Fortunately, you can keep returning to that room.

Recording Retroarch using OBS

I've been trying to use Open Broadcaster Software to record and stream Retroarch, but for some reason every time I use Window Capture on it and preview the recording I only get a still image.

My theory is it has something to do with the fact that the Retroarch source window's name keeps changing (it shows the current FPS and amount of frames being used) but I don't really know if that's accurate.

I should probably ask on the Retroarch/OBS forums first but I thought I would check if anyone here is familiar with this problem at all.

Heya all!

Thought it was about time I posted something on my latest project. Big Grin

MLP: Revenants of Chaos

Revenants of Chaos is a My Little Pony fangame centered around speed and flight. There will of course be some slower and more restrictive stages, though a majority of the game will have large open levels where the player can fly around at high speeds and explore.

STORY:

The story begins with Applebloom borrowing a book from Twilight Sparkle about Princess Reverie, an Alicorn princess who had the power to draw out a pony's potential and reveal their cutie mark. Included in the book was a map to the princess's castle and, at Scootaloo's suggestion, they ask Rainbow Dash to investigate for them. Rainbow Dash reluctantly agrees and flies to the castle only to find it in ruin with a number of Canterlot guards defending the entrance.
The guards explain to Rainbow Dash that they do not know what lies within, only that it's certainly ominous. On realizing that Rainbow Dash is one of the hero's from Ponyville that fought in the Changeling invasion, they allow her to explore the inside of the castle.

The castle is filled with dark crystals that seem to be growing in the cracks like strange weeds. Eventually Rainbow Dash reaches the throne room where she finds a pony encased in the dark crystals, begging her to smash the crystal and release her. Noticing the pony's wings and horn, Rainbow Dash realises that this was the Princess the CutieMark Crusaders were talking about and she agrees to help her.
With a powerful buck, Rainbow Dash shatters the crystal but is sent flying into a pillar by a powerful burst of energy and falls to the ground unconcious.

The rest of the Mane6 and Princess Celestia herself arrive just after that moment only to encounter Nightmare Revenant, the dark and twisted form of the once peaceful ruler, driven insane by over a thousand years imprisoned in a realm of madness. They attempt to stop her but are all turned to stone, leaving the Madness Spirits, Nightmare Revenant and her army to escape and start an Equestria-wide attack.

When Rainbow Dash finally wakes, she finds her friends and her princess encased in stone... Now it's up to her to travel accross Equestria. regain the scattered Elements of Harmony and defeat Nightmare Revenant and her Madness Forces.

GAMEPLAY:
Gameplay video: http://youtu.be/6j-ClSI2mto

The game can be likened to a modern Sonic game, if Sonic were given wings, with speed being the key feature. You run and fly around collecting gems to boost your speed and allow you to fly for longer and collect apples to recover lost health and gain extra lives. Rainbow Dash's main means of attack is to dash into the enemy at high speed, to kick the enemy or to stomp on top of the enemy, early stages will have enemies that won't be much of a threat if you keep moving fast, but around the third level you'll start encountering enemies that will try to use your speed to their advantage and you'll have to consider other ways in which to defeat them.

At maximum speed Rainbow Dash will perform a Sonic Rainboom which acts as a screen clearing attack and grants the player a temporary acceleration boost as well as an unlimited amount of Dash Power (the energy gathered from the gems that allow you to dash and fly) for a short amount of time.

Within each level are six Reverie Emblems, rainbow coloured stars with white wings, and collecting all of them will send the player to a special stage on the level's completion, where they'll be able to collect one of the 30 Harmony Gems. For every 6 Harmony Gems, they will be fused into one of the Elements of Harmony and the collection of all of them is required to access the final "world" and to get the true ending.

POST WORD AND STUFF:

For the game, we are using the Desktop Ponies style for the characters and our own unique tilesets. Many new animations for Rainbow Dash have been designed specifically for the game and we're making lots more which we plan to release to the community shortly after our release.

We are always on the look out for more pixel artists, especially those who are skilled with tileset work. If you are willing to help, you can contact me via pm or on my Skype, my name is Okamikurainya there. We are also looking for testers and those that specialize in GUI design. We hope to get the game out soon, I'll keep posting updates when I can. Genki ^_^

I was navigating Spriters resource when i found Redhalberd's Galactic Federation marine spritesheet, and that inspired me to make a "Mass effect N7 marine" spritesheet.
Cut to one month later, said spritesheet it's finished, well, in my opinion, now i'm just posting it here for feedback and for opinions about it being "Greenlighted" or "Redlighted"

Makin' a new thread cause my old ones are ooooooold and I've been doing some non-fakemon stuff

I'm probably not going to edit a lot of these, so until I post a WIP or something, I'm mostly looking for examples of what I could do better next time!

Commission I did for someone on Subeta of their deer magical girl character.

pixel portrait of Chisame from Negima. I'm proud of this one even if the BG is sort of lazy (those patterns took 5ever though)

Gen3 sized front and backsprites done as a commission - I had only some very basic sketches to work from, so I had to work out things like proportion myself, haha...

More fakemon, of my own design.

I plan to have a WIP to show soon, likely either a pixel portrait or some fighting game idles, so I'll post that when I get them to a workable stage.

Super Charisma Bros. 7

Welcome to my thread about my absolutely darling little joke game, Super Charisma Bros. 7. Rather than go on in a confusing paragraph of random bits and pieces of info, I'll just do the more sensible thing and organize some FAQs right here:

What is a joke game?
Now, this is probably self explanatory. Matter of fact, I'm not sure why I'm doing this question, but just to clarify: no, a joke game isn't a "trick game" or a "trolling game" or anything like that. A joke game is a game that isn't put together too seriously. It's made with the intent of making people laugh at the wacky jokes, surreal design, or the hilariously bizarre (and often intentionally poorly programmed) gameplay.

What's Super Charisma Bros.?
Ah, good question! Super Charisma Bros. is my own little series of joke games that I've been making on and off since very late 2012 / very early 2013. It's been quite a while since the last one (and a lot has changed since then too), but very recently I've been working on yet another wacky adventure that no one actually wants! Big Grin

Okay, but the 7 thing - that's like, a sequel joke, right?
You would think! Like I said, I've already made a few SCB games, and this happens to be the seventh entry in the series!

Why should I care about this?
If you like to have a good laugh, probably? I dunno, you got me!

Okay, I know about the Super Charisma Bros. games and what not, so that's why I'm asking this question... didn't the people who inspired you to make these games (and help with the odd sprite and soundtrack, as well as appear in the games) stop talking to you for whatever reason?
Unfortunately, yes. What about it?

...are they cool with appearing in this?
They're not appearing at all, for you see: Super Charisma Bros. 7 sports an entirely new cast of characters! That is, save for Dudim, the series mainstay and a weird mishmash of an author avatar and author... pet or... uh, something.

Where can I play the previous games in the series?
Since it probably won't take too much time out of your day, I urge you to go check 'em out in this big all-in-one-wacky-charismatic-fun-pack that I souped up just now! Hooray, truly everyone wins!

Sooo... back to SCB7, what have you got of it so far?
See for yourself Wink

It seems like SCB7 is almost a step back after playing 5 and 6. What happened there?
To be honest with you, I was decidedly not too keen on adding that much polish to these really simple, goofy games; if it weren't for the pressure of certain people fighting for a more refined / 'indie' experience, 5 and especially 6 wouldn't have been so "clean". SCB7 is going to go back to the series' roots, in that sense.

Alrighty then, that looks about complete there! Any questions? Comments? Smile

Dazz (Player; Boss)

[Image: hGxvJp2.png] [Image: aZBx1T7.gif]

The Fighters Resource needs a final boss and from what I understand it's going to be none other than Dazz. I have some ideas. See if you agree with them, share your thoughts and/or ideas of your own.

I was thinking about giving him 2 forms, like most bosses (Kazuya/Devil, Ogre/True Ogre, etc. I only really played Tekken :/ ) They are fought in 2 seperate rounds.

The first form is your friendly neighbourhood Dazz, not too different from the rest of the cast. A player character. He has his own moveset etc.

The second form is special. He taps into the mystery force called The Fighters Resource and gains the abilities of the other fighters. He attacks with Neko's claws, Chris's balls, Bombergirl's Bombs and maybe even launches his head like Gilbert.

How the second form looks is far from definitive. Should he just copy the moves, temporarily transform into the players (like the final boss from MK1) or even temporarily become a hybrid.

See what you think about it. If someone wants to pick this up, be my guest (I want to do it myself, but I'm not given the time lately). I know this was originally Gors's task years back, but based on his level of involvement at the moment, I want to take it out of his hands.

Right now, my priority is to create his stage which I'll call "The Final Resource". Even without Dazz I think a final boss stage would come in handy. So yeah, I'll leave this topic spriteless for a while. Boop.

Mario Kart Wii

Hi there, how's it going?

So I'm in the process of ripping the course maps from Mario Kart Wii, and I ran into a bit of a hurdle.

I'm about 95% done, but for some reason whenever I try to get the course maps from Delfino Pier and N64 Skyscraper, Dolphin decides to crash without giving the texture dump time to view the desired texture.

Here is my current progress on the sheet, with only the aforementioned maps missing:

The files will be 220x220, and in order to have them show up, you should only need to have it show up on screen.

The only thing I can offer at the moment is ripping from the game of your choice, assuming the game is able to be ripped from. That and obviously adding your name to the sheet via credit tag.

For anyone that is interested in fulfilling the request, feel free to take your time. It shouldn't take long at all, but I am in no hurry.

Just a little remake I started back in March-ish. When I began the engine, I kind of forgot why I was doing it, so I put it aside for a good while until recently. That is, when I remembered it existed!

What is this? Well, think Rockman 7 FC except inverted: Rockman 2 SFC. Wow, talk about an original idea! Actually, I was inspired by a ytmnd I saw a very long time ago, and I even used the building sprites from that, albeit tweaked a bit.

Download "Very Unfinished Engine Test Thing" here! The only stage you can select is Air Man's, which takes you to said engine test. All menus and other screens prior to this are pretty much finished, but there's always something I might just change at a later date XD

All music rearranged by me.
