Today we would like to introduce our new wiki, designed to help users get introduced to the art of game asset ripping and creation. We want to make a wiki dedicated specifically to helping users get started with all of the resource sites we operate, and to help them become more knowledgeable in every aspect of what we do.
As we as a staff only have limited knowledge and aren't able to dedicate our efforts to every member one-on-one, we feel a wiki is the best way of providing our collective knowledge to the masses.
The wiki is currently pretty bare, so we'd appreciate any all efforts made to help shape it.
In order to make changes to the wiki, you must have a minimum of 20 posts, and been a member of the site for a month.
The accounts used for the wiki are those also used by the forum, and other resource sites. However, please be aware that we recently changed our logging in procedure, and as such it is advisable if you're having problems with logging in that you clear your cookies, and log in again. There are likely a number of minor issues with the old cookies and your ability to operate the new sections of the site if you don't.
If you have any problems, feel free to post here.
With the introduction of the wiki comes a new piece of forum code. You can now easily embed a wiki page into the forum for users to read without having to be redirected.
Example:
Code:
[wiki]What_Makes_A_Good_Submission[/wiki]
We hope that you'll enjoy contributing to the wiki, and we look forward to seeing where we can take this new system with the community.
Any suggestions and thoughts are more than welcome!
All the best,
Dazz & Petie
P.S. - We're keeping the wiki unlinked from the main sites for a small period of time while content is actually placed into it. We figure we should let you guys help fill it before we make it fully public.
