PC ripping help (uMod)

Hello. I am relatively new to ripping, having really only done a couple minor, personal projects over the years. A few games I've recently played on PC (via Steam, mostly) over the past few months have had me wanting to try my hand at it again. However, the software I've had suggested (uMod) to try to rip a number of sprites/textures at once (mainly levels/tileset stuff) doesn't seem to be working. I figure it's probably something I'm doing on my end, and very likely something silly that I'm just not catching.

For reference, I've started with trying to load the Steam version of Freedom Planet (which I understand is being ripped by RandomTalkingBush, but I wanted to rip some later stuff from it they haven't gotten to, yet). I've tried loading the game by using Global hook and booting normally, then adding the game via uMod's menu. I've tried turning global hook off and running the game (via the exe in the game's steam folder) through uMod. But, I can't seem to get the "Save all textures" to work (or the "save single texture" option). I am setting it all up and hitting "Update" before loading the level I want via time attack. I've also tried setting up all the texture capture settings before loading the game.

I know from a few places I've lurked online that others (including RTB) have had success with this game and uMod. Am I using the program/loading the game wrong? Or does it simply not work with the Steam version (I've tried downgrading to the 1.20.2 version, as well as the current version) and only with the Humble version?

Any help would be greatly appreciated (I can grab some screenshots in a bit, of my settings or whatever, if that would help).
