Hello, I'm starting a project and thought I'd post here in case anyone was interested. I'm fixing up the Spyro level geometry and skyboxes in 3DS max. Thanks to the spyro world viewer, I have all of the levels ripped from the game. I've figured out how to project the vertex colors onto other models, and with that I can have the great lighting/colors with the textured model.
So far I have the skyboxes looking perfect as they were in the game, I just had to adjust the normals and weld the verts. I'll start posting these here soon, and when I'm done I'll post the full model.
For anyone using newer 3ds max, you need to switch the nitrous driver to d3d or the vertex colors and textures wont render together.
