DDS texture issues

I'm trying to get the textures from a Smash 4 Wii U mod that's available on GameBanana. They are in a .NUT file which I've not had trouble extracting from before. But this one won't produce any files that are useful, all the DDS files I get are not able to be opened in Paint.NET, most converters to PNG crash with them and when I finally found one that converted them, it just resulted in pixellated garbage PNG files, like so:



If the actual DDS files are needed to figure out the issue, let me know but I'm at a loss.
