hi, this is first time i make topic on this forum.
anyway, i really want to rip models from a game called Cannon Spike. i only managed to somehow rip it with 3Dripperdx. so far i only ripped Cammy and made somehow T-posed her. if there's a way i can rip the model in other way or if i can rip the sound effects from it. then that would be cool since i have no experience in ripping stuff from console games. also when i t-posed that model. can i still post it on models-resource in "other systems" section?
if this topic is in wrong section then i highly apologize.

i'm an sfm/gmod animator and sometimes i also rip stuff. i usually use 3Dripperdx or ninjaripper.
most of the time i rip stuff from games to Source Filmmaker. i would like to put some stuff i ripped into models-resource but i'm always unsure where to put it and if it's alright as it is. also i apologize for my english, i'm from Czech Republic

I've noticed a few people on the forums asking stuff like this:

While I can't speak for Peardian over at TMR or.... whoever is running TSoR now..., I can speak for myself. 

1. We just haven't gotten around to it yet.


This happens sometimes. If it's been two days, give it some time. I'm usually checking the site through the day, so this isn't often a problem.

2. There's no icon.


This is, far and away, the number one reason your sheet isn't on the site. Did you submit something back in September and still haven't gotten that happy little PM that lets you know that we liked it? Here's why. Icons are a pain. We all know that, and now that you need transparency in a lot of them it makes it a little trickier to do them. I don't have Photoshop, so there aren't a lot of corrections I can do. Most of the time I have my laptop with no mouse, so I'm sure as hell not going to awkwardly try to use Paint with my dumb fingers. I hate that shit. So they'll just sit on the server. Here's a selection of my favorite icons in the queue that need to be replaced right now:

So most of these are perfectly good sheets that I can't accept yet. Why?

SOM Girl- While incomplete, is something. We currently have nearly nothing for SOM's playable characters. Unfortunately, the multiple frames and terrible green background just don't look good. Check out any other RPG on the site. You have a single frame of the character and maybe a mugshot. We don't need this whole dance.

Enemies/Consumables- Same rules. Give me one enemy, or a couple enemies. I don't want a screenshot of the sheet enclosed.

Female Baphomet- Old-style icon inserted into a new-style icon. Great job, guy. This submitter has also done every other enemy in the game and all the icons are like this.

smw tiles beta- The spelling can be fixed. No big. The problem here is the skewing of the sprites so they look stretched and the bright blue background.

The Gym- This looks like a screenshot from MS Paint. Essentially, this is the same problem as SOM Girl.

Everything- Just because you have everything doesn't mean you need to cram everything into your icon.

Warrior Sprite (movement)- I don't know if this is the character's actual name, or just something the submitter called it. Also, there's no icon. Almost all of the sheets submitted without icons look like this. Obviously I can't accept them.

3. The sheet is fine, but the section icon isn't.


When you do everything right, sometimes the sheet isn't accepted. Why? Easy. I'm picky. I really don't like seeing the game icon with the title of the game in it.

I know the titles of these games. They're in that big red box at the top. I don't need the titles in the image. That tells me nothing about the game. Show me an action shot. If the game is Super Mario Bros, I don't want to see a screenshot of the words Super Mario Bros. I know that. I want Mario jumping on a Goomba. Think of the site as a museum. We want the title, and an example of the work.

And, same as above, distorted images are ugly and I won't use them. Give me a clean screenshot. Cropping is fine, as long as it still looks good. You're an artist. Use a sense of balance and color and get me a pretty screenshot.

4. Your submission is a zip file.


I suspect this is a big reason why TSoR takes so long. With zips there are sometimes hundreds of files to go through. That takes a long time and it's why we prefer sheets. Sheets are more appealing, more fun to look at, and more accessible. If you have to submit in a zip there is a waiting process. I don't want to accept a zip file and then find out someone replaced the images with some hardcore porn. That ain't cool.


So those are the big three. And I can hear you all now "Well Ton, you work on the site. Why don't YOU fix those?" Simply put, I just don't have the time or energy to. On top of that, YOU know the game much better than I do. YOU ripped this stuff. It'll much easier for YOU to get a screenshot that embodies the game than for me to sift through Google image search for blurry jpegs. That's terrible. 

So follow these rules and I guarantee you'll see faster results. Thanks a lot, guys.

Hi iv'e been trying to extract the models  from the ps2 game Magic User Kurohime (Mahou Tsukai Kurohime) since 2013 i was able to get the textures extracted thanks to texmod which are the textures that are currently pending in TTR.

anywho iv'e tryed Demonboy's method of ripping from this game and it ends up like this

anywho i thought why not try to get at the model files themselves then i found the biggest file called romimage.vfs also i researched that .vfs also contain models and sounds so i need help.

this game was a manga before became a game and it in my opinion totally inspired the Bayonetta franchise both are withes that use magic anywho i really want to submit all of the models myself to TMR since i have every single texture all ready extracted.

Managed to rip sound files from Asphalt 8, Castle of Shadows and Yugioh Duel Generation. Which guidelines i need to follow to post them here? Do i begin posting with a mediafire link and that standard game banner?

FF5 iOS - strange PNG format

Anyone know what is up with these png files? I've been searching for 3 days straight trying to figure it out. I can replicate the same result in Paint Shop Pro using the map bin files from FF6 iOS telling it that it's a raw interleaved CMYK BGR file but I can't figure out how to reverse it.

I may have found someone with the knowledge of reverse-engineering the sound effects format of Rogue Squadron II on the Gamecube, but they're exceptionally lazy and aren't going to finish the project. I need some help.

The only information I have is another user's word from the Dolphin emulator forums. He said that the audio is stored in plain ADPCM encoding, and the only
unknown is the location of each sound effect, and where the decoding parameters are stored.

He gives a couple audio log files that are used for reverse-engineering. jimbo1qaz is our mystery man who knows how to reverse-engineer these formats, but is too generally disinterested.

Is it possible I could have some help with this? I seriously want to rip the sounds from Rogue Squadron II. Once I can do that, I can die a happy man...

Mega Man 8 Stage Assets

Can someone rip the Mega Man 8 assets from the Intro Stage and Aqua Man's stage and have them without the water effects over the tiles? For stages like Aqua Man, GIMP is a severe virtual memory hog, and for the intro stage the underwater section's colors are too similar for my eyes to differentiate them.

Every sound found in the game, in a simple, organized pack. Everything is named so it will be easy to understand. Sorry that I didn't split them off into parts, and that I'm a noob at using this site. I've never uploaded anything until now, so I don't really know how it works.

I'm using the pack in my game: Mega Man ZX Online. This game will have art identical to ZX and gameplay fundamentally the same, but I have bigger plans for it.

It won't have MMO integration to the point that it changes to gameplay of the game. It's still ZX, but with different added mechanics, basically. (dress up your character and have a weapon editor similar to Battle Networks' Navi Customizer)

This is my first time ripping models and I've been doing great so far (Hopefully I'm posting this thread in the correct place.) But, recently, I've been trying to rip character models from MySims Agents (EU) but they all turn out like this.

Hi, this is the first sprite I have ever created, finished about 50 minutes ago.

Its a Pokemon fusion of Tyranitar and Typhlosion, I call it Tyraniphlosion. (NAME WIP)

This is the first sprite I have ever made and would really appreciated any criticisms.
