So while i wait for Fire emblem Fates: Revelations to come out. I've decided to take requests for fire emblem fates styled sprites.
They're pretty simple, Here are some examples of some i did for myself and some i did for a friend.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, so if you want one, you need to give me a reference, a Mugshot, some details on skin tone/Hairstyle/Class/Extra stuff (stuff like Kana's bandanna or Certain hats or other details)

Btw, theres no strings attached to this at all. i'm just really bored.

BIOS naming

There seems to be some inconsistency for BIOS pages.
The Game Boy Advance BIOS is listed as "Game Boy Advance BIOS", the Nintendo DS BIOS is listed as "System BIOS" and the Game.com BIOS is listed as "BIOS".

What should they be named?
Something like:
BIOS (System Name)
to differentiate?

Hey guys. I was thinking about ripping models from Life is Strange so that I can put them up the Models Resource. What characters do you want me to put on the Models Resource?

Here are a bunch of models that I ripped from Okamiden(DS Game). The file contains all the stages and NPCs. There are also some environment objects and a few enemy models. I myself will not be uploading them individually to this site, so if you want to then go ahead. The files themselves are named as they were within the code, so nothing is named, but they are in the correct folders. Also if have any problems with the file just pm me and I'll try to sort it out.

(Also I believe the Amaterasu model is somewhere in the NPC folder).
(Also I should mention all of the files are in .obj format)
(Also there is a black mesh around the objects when you import them, you can delete this object to see the actual one underneath, just in case anyone was confused about that)

LEGO Star Wars The Video Game Sprites

Hello you guys! This is my first post on this place and as of recent I felt like joining this place is a good idea. It'll show my artistic skills with classic gaming sprites. History aside, the graphics I've always waited for was LEGO Star Wars The Video Game GBA Version's Graphics. I was then like "what the heck? Why not rip them yourself?" And then came my first rip ever. This is the most hardest rip I've done yet. In case you don't know it, it is the Yoda Message Screen Graphic. Anyway Thanks for reading! I hope we have a great community!

Hello, everybody. I feel truly honored to contribute long-awaited to some of my favorite video games such as Tetris Attack on the SNES, Pokemon Puzzle League... and Panel de Pon.
Now, you may think I'm begging for attention here, but no. Not this time. I have a special present for all of you here. This is to make it up for all those greedy requests I've done since I've first came here. I'm truly sorry I've done this. I didn't mean to make you all mean and upset to me. As of this thread, I promise to contribute to the Spriters-Resource from now on. And I'm not lying either. So, what is my special present to you? Well, you're in for a big surprise.
If you happen to have a Windows 7 in your possession, then it is with great pride and honor that I present to you my very own themes. Each of them have special colors and special sound effects. Sometimes, the font on your computer will change depending on the theme of the game, like FINAL FANTASY VII for example.
Also, here's some important information: If you happen to own a Windows 10, then don't panic. My themes will be backwards-compatible with your new computer systems.
The link to my special themes is right here. Make your selections, give me your best reactions, and enjoy, theme lovers!

With a bit of effort and outside research, I managed to find a way to extract the base files of the textures. I can't seem to convert them properly though. Can anyone help?

All right, I found a sort of converter for these, but it rarely works. I was hoping someone could shed a little light on why these scripts are not working on these specific models? Also why it doesn't get UVs of models it DOES work with?

Press kit Archive

Hello, i recently search for Some press kit, and see that is expensive.
But, the most interesting thing in that is the bonus materials.
So why don't make a "press kit" archive somewere?
Not just a photos archive but a archive with SCANS and ISOS of all the stuff that are in these pakages.
That is a promotional stuff so it cant' be blocked for pirating, because that it is free merchandising stuff, not the final selled game.

The porpuse is gave to every fan the juicy stuff in that pakages without searching and buyng rare and expensive stuff online.

If someone can do that it can be cool.

If you have Some of these press kit, please scan and rip the disks inside of it to share it with all the fans.

The only limit is that the subject of the kit must be release or cancelled.
That means Not spoilers.

What you think about my idea?

(Sorry for errors on my english writing)

Hi everybody,

I'm TheSkyGuy but you can call me Sky.

I'm a learning programmer and I'm making a mobile game : a puzzle side scrolling platformer.
Sometimes, I make music (for my games but also for fun) when I have time.
I also like to play video games (especially Smash Bros series and The Legend Of Zelda series Big Grin), and play football when I got time.
Since I'm 4, I play some Super Mario games and I always wanted to create a Super Mario like, I think it's about time!

I found this website randomly.
I was looking for a pixel artist and I came across some sprite sheets of an old Nintendo DS game: Jump Ultimate Stars, on Google Images.
So I watched others stuffs here and I'm very impress; some people here are very talented.

The community here is nice, respectful, and alive (it's not the case everywhere...)
That's why I hope having good relations with everyone here!

Peace!

Sprite Limitations for SNES and GBA

$

Common knowledge dictates that the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) and GBA (Game Boy Advance) used 16-bit graphics, right? Well, unfortunately, common knowledge, in this case, would be mistaken--the SNES and GBA actually, in fact, worked in the 15-bit color range.

A friend of mine, SomeGuyNamedDavid (he doesn't have an account on this website), gave me the complete list of values for 15-bit colors. They are as follows:

0, 8, 16, 25, 33, 41, 49, 58, 66, 74, 82, 90, 99, 107, 115, 123, 132, 140, 148, 156, 165, 173, 181, 189, 197, 206, 214, 222, 230, 239, 247, and 255.

These are the possible SNES and GBA color values for Red, for Green, and for Blue. Take any three of the numbers above (even if the three numbers you choose are all the same number, or even if two of the three numbers you choose are the same number) to make a composite RGB (short for Red, Green, Blue) color value that falls under the 15-bit color range.

Another friend of mine, DragonDePlatino (you all may be familiar with him), gave me the nitty-gritty details of the sprite limitations for the SNES and the GBA:

DragonDePlatino Wrote:SNES restrictions:
256x224 resolution
15-bit color
16 colors per sprite
If background has 1 layer, 16 colors a 16x16 tile.
If background has several layers, 4 colors a 16x16 tile

GBA restrictions:
240x160 resolution
15-bit color

I would like to add that another SNES restriction is 4 layers per background maximum. One of those 4 colors on that layer's 16x16 tile can be transparency if not the bottom layer.

One final note regarding SNES sprite limitations: when counting the number of colors per sprite or background layer, you must keep in mind that the number of colors includes transparency as one of the colors. So unless your sprite is a square with no transparent parts; you can only have 15 non-transparent colors per sprite or 3 non-transparent colors per 16x16 background tile (if the background has more than one layer). In the case of backgrounds, the bottom layer will never have transparent parts, so it will be 4 colors per 16x16 tile of the bottom layer if you're using multiple layers, or 16 colors per 16x16 tile if you're using only a single layer.

Other than that, everything else about spriting in SNES style or GBA style follows the norms of spriting as explained in the Spriting Dictionary thread.

So I'm back.

It's been awhile. Hell, feels like years - might even be years.
Normally I vanish when life starts going to hell, but this time, I've just been really busy. Life is actually pretty OK at the moment.

There's been ups, downs and I'm still super certain/incredibly unsure of what I'm doing in my life but I think that's just how things are.

I'm not sure who's still around here, but well, hello to anyone who remembers me. And a hi to those who don't know me (I'm awesome btw).

I have always wanted to rip the spyro model from spyro 2-3, I think it looks amazing and I would love to use it, same with Hunter, Bianca, Moneybags ect. If anyone knows how to rip these types of models (Not levels!) then I would love to know Smile

I've figured out a way to determine which file is which model. The only problem is it doesn't extract with current programs. "p3d" is a semi-common file type, but these are different in a slight way. Their contents can be viewed, but not properly extracted. I've got four models I'm looking for, isolated here. The p3d's contain both the models and the textures. Can someone find a way to convert/extract these?

Hi everyone.

My name is Glenn, I'm a game developer. You can check out my website at quantumforgegames.com

I love building games, I work with Unity, Unreal and the new Amazon Lumberyard. I have been working on projects that use the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive as well as some pretty awesome Augmented Reality apps.

I found VGResource because I was looking for character models from Radiata Stories, which was a favorite game of mine when I was younger. But browsing through this website has awoken a lot of old memories, and it's been a really wonderful experience going from admiring these models as a Gamer to understanding these models as a game developer.

I look forward to interacting with this community, and I thank you for your warm(albeit generic) welcome.

I'm pretty easy going, and outgoing so feel free to contact me if you want to chat!
