Twisted Metal (PS3) models?

$

I was hoping this would be much more simple. A google search leads to the research about extracting the textures from the VRAM files, however there is nothing about the models, which are contained in 'ngp' files. Considering the format of the textures, and their placement, these files are also archives for multiple contents. Any chance someone could have a look at this one and see if there's some way to extract said models?

forgotten franchise revival

the smash thread is getting filled with ice climbers discussion, so i decided upon myself to make a topic to cater to such ideas.

in the sea of video games, there are the AAA games and forgotten IP's. while some forgotten IP's reach the branch of AAA games, (kid icarus, punch out, etc.) others dont. the question is quite simple, which forgotten franchise would you revive and how would you do it (game concept)?

What do big companies care more about?

Ya know, Konami actually has me thinking.

Recently, if you've read the unhappy thread and my posts you'll have noticed that Konami C&D the private servers that allowed us to play Bemani games, which they have had every right to do. They just didn't bother until Round 1 Arcades started opening in America, and thus claimed they were gonna offer America offical eAmuse. It's pretty evident now that they meant they were only gonna offer Round 1 eAmuse, and fuck all the other arcades that existed around America with Bemani Machines first. The Japan community was sad for us and even a few artists who makes music for the games even told us to cheer up and not to be sad.

A day after our server goes, it's proven that Kojima is no longer with Konami. While Konami still owns the rights to Metal Gear, they are either gonna not work on it, or likely gonna tank it.

Like the only ip they really have left in America that many (older) people would recognize is Castlevania. They actually streamed the GBA game for a while on their official twitch channel yesterday before I went to work. I do think it is pretty clear though that they really don't care about their American fans.

What do you think is going on? Do you have similar thoughts about other big companies?

I'm trying to rip the textures from Banjo Kazooie (US Version).

It seems to work, since many of the textures are being confused with other ones, but they are not extracted into the texture_dump folder I created: C:\Program Files (x86)\Project64 2.1\Plugin\texture_dump

Help? Please?

Do you have a bluray drive or a built in bluray player for your computer?

These devices can show you what files are inside the games. However, each game has its own different types of files. I know nothing about decryption or extracting sounds from Ps3 games.

I just know they can be opened with Bluray drives the same way Ps1 and Ps2 games can be opened with DVD drives.

Are there any Ps3 sound extracting tools??

Does anybody know of any audio ripping tools for Ps3 games?

I want to try and get some sounds from games Fist of the North Star Ken's Rage, Soul Calibur V, Asura's Wrath, Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, Dead Or Alive 5, and Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2

I've come across a few games made with FM98 that have some top notch sprites, yet the program I usually use for ripping crashes upon even trying to access the .player files. Is there perhaps some other way to snatch those sprites without having to actually look around for FM98?

For the Love of God someone help me.

Hey there!

I've been lurking on the Spriter's Resource for a long time, just looking at sheets from my favorite games and high quality pixel art. Recently I decided it's high time to join the community in creating pixel art. I'm an amateur artist and animator myself, but my problem is just making my sprites look smooth (anti aliasing, that sort of thing), but at the same time distinctly pixelated and colorful. It'll come with practice I'm sure.
I hope to learn a lot from this community! Maybe one day I'll start ripping sprites myself.

Just a fun question for you guys: what game has your favorite pixel art in it? Mighty Switch Force 2 has some gorgeous sprites on 3DS. I'm actually surprised some sheets from the MSF games aren't on here already!

Raiden Trad rips?

I can't find rips for the MD/Lynx/TurboGrafX anywhere. What I need is:

Raiden, the enemies, the bosses, and the bullets of the MegaDrive version
Everything from the Lynx version
And everything I didn't include from the MDrive version for the TurboGrafX (backgrounds, title, etc.)

I tried ripping the sprites myself, but I can't find any other method than screen capping. Are there any more efficient methods than screencapping/tile assembling for the MDrive/Lynx/TurboGrafX? If so, then I'll probably just rip them myself.

Demitri Voice Clips (Project X Zone, Cross Edge)

Recently over at Mugen Fighters Guild it seems people have been getting interested in Darkstalkers' vampire protagonist Demitri, as several sprite revamp projects for him have begun which are bound to lead to more incarnations being coded for Mugen. To that end, I've been looking into collecting his voice clips from various games for use in such projects. I've already ripped the ones from the original Darkstalkers arcade games via MAME, and also used PSound to get at higher quality versions of the first and third game's voice clips via their PS1 and PSP ports, respectively (unfortunately no higher quality source for the second game seems to exist, the Saturn port seems to have lower quality samples than the arcade, and the PS2 Collection seems to be the same quality as arcade).

I used PSound and MFAudio to get his voice clips from Namco X Capcom. And rips of SvC Chaos are already on the Sounds Resource.

This leaves two other sources I have been unable to look into for technical reasons: Project X Zone on the 3DS and Cross Edge on the PS3. If anyone can rip Demitri's voice clips from these games (Japanese version in Cross Edge's case, since it has multiple language tracks), I would be very grateful.
