Basically exactly what it says on the tin. This is an old project for a Metroid sprite comic, that originally had horrible writing; namely, that my problem with writing introductions caused everything to rush by too quickly. As such, I've started remastering it, mostly rewriting it. While decompression is normally an element of bad storytelling, I feel it actually has the potential to allow readers time to fully take in each plot point, and thus basically gives everything a little weight. Namely, how I justify Samus starting off with nothing, (as in essentially every Metroid game,) which partially consists of a villain having a brief moment of not being stupid.
I didn't actually know where to put this thread, whether in the 'Pixel Art' thread or the 'Other Creativity' thread, since it's a sprite comic and thus has a low concentration of custom sprites, but it's still related to pixel art whereas the Other Creativity subforum is for things not related to such. To any staff members reading, feel free to move this thread if it is in the wrong subforum.
Because of the fact that 'cringy sprite comic stuff' occurs early on in particular due to it setting up a plot point that's not justified until much, much later, I will be putting up essentially the entire introduction within a few days at most, and as such the groanworthy introduction, which I have rewritten to improve it somewhat, can be done and over with. And yet still have weight to it. Isn't confusion fun?
And with all that out of the way, let us begin.
