Top 10 Games for Each Console You Own!
So with Wii U on the way out and NX nearly being revealed it had me looking back on the Wii U and it's great games. Then I thought about how every console I own had at least 10 great games on it. So here's the topic. List all the consoles you own and your Top 10 Favorite games for each. You don't have to have a particular order but they DO have to be for that console and not digital re-releases on modern platforms. You can however make a "Re-Releases" category (just make sure they're games you never owned for that original system).
Nintendo Entertainment System
1. Super Mario Bros. 3
2. Kirby's Adventure
3. Ducktales
4. Super Mario Bros. 2
5. Super Mario Bros./ Duck Hunt (bundle)
6. Mega Man 2
7. Darkwing Duck
8. Rampage
9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
10. Gauntlet II
Gameboy/ Gameboy Color
Since a lot of games on the Gameboy and Gameboy Color are interchangeable, I decided that they could share a section.

Injustice 2: Gear System
Hey Y'all,
So if you haven't heard yet, Injustice Gods Among Us 2 has a gear system where you can strengthen your character's stats by winning or losing matches. Now in my opinion, I find it kinda messed up because this will cause newbies to have a lower win chance when facing up against experienced players. In my mind, I can visually see spammers a.k.a zoners take advantage of this by increasing their strength to the maximum, or something like that, and throw consecutive projectiles. What y'all think? What do you think are the pros and cons of this gear system?

Incomplete Submissions
Every now and then some incomplete submissions find their way onto the site (we are not perfect either). The goal of this thread is to find and list any submissions that have flaws. People can then make and submit improvements as revisions. Please, report submissions that are missing things or that need to be replaced. Some good reasons to report a submission are:
Here are some basic rules you should read before reporting:
- If a sprite sheet is missing some frames or if a sound submission is missing some sound files.
- If the background of a sheet has the exact same color as the sprites.
- Bad quality.
Here are some basic rules you should read before reporting:
- Do NOT use this thread to make requests. You can use the requests forum for that if you meet the requirements to do so.
- Please prove that something is wrong with the submission. Provide a screenshot or video of the missing content.
- You can't expect people to do everything for you. Sometimes you have to do the work yourself.
- This list is merely a suggestion of what someone could do, not what someone should or has to do.

Hi, there!
Hey all, I'm not much of a sprite ripper myself, in fact I usually use what I can find around here to create personal maps for D and D games I run so that we have fancy stuff. I won't lie or put up a false front, I more or less am joining the forums so that I can eventually make a request that I am hoping can be done for free but am willing to pay for if it comes to it. So....yea. There ya go, I'm looking to help expand my creative repertoire through a request and that's what brings me here. Hopefully I can at least contribute something beyond just asking for a request but right now that's kind of all I got.

Hello Everybody!
Hello, my name is Lancaster. I joined these forums to reply to a thread that turns out to be archived (oops). I wanted to ask if there were any good up-to-date programs I could use to rip textures and models from games. I wanted to start making mods for games and this is the one thing I'm stuck on. All the programs I can find either dont work, crash, or were made 6 years ago so they don't work. Any help would be appreciated

Paper Mario: Color Splash Sprites/Textures
Hi, I have a dump of Paper Mario: Color Splash and have located a graphics folder that seemingly contains BFRES files. They are in the format .lz but I know how to decrypt them into BFRES files. But I'm lost from there. I tried a script to import one into 3DS Max and it threw an exception. I tried various texture extracting tools and they either give errors or simply do nothing. I'd really like to upload some of the beautiful sprites in this game, but I'm not sure how I would go about doing that. Any advice?

Extracting Sound Files from SWTOR
So I came across this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/...xtraction/ on how to extract sound files from Star Wars The Old Republic. I tried following along but got lost. So I'm wondering if there's anyone else that can help me comprehend this? A guy posted this tutorial to follow http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?p=69545#p69545 I got lost pretty early in at step 3. It lists the "EasyMYP_v3.6-Spec SWTOR Batch Dict Parser" folder which I don't know where it's located. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello guys.
Hello guys, I'm new! How was your day? I was also wondering, knowing that many people regularly post new sheets, I was wondering if it was possible to post a similar or exact same sheet that someone else also posted earlier (I mean if it's a full sheet of all mario moves or a more complete sheet compared to what has posted the original poster) was authorised, of course if it's a custom sheet I'm already aware that tracing or stealing it is against the rules, it's also pathetic.
Also I hope everything is going to be alright here, I don't have a lot of sheets or pixel arts, so I might not post a lot so.
Have a nice day by the way.

'Sup World!!
Hello!
The name's Adrot. Currently from Romania , my main passion was videogaming since 8. Having a Win 95 and a trashed-and-found NES working with games (not with me anymore), I grew an interest in the Nintendo community (and I didn't stop there). Started having some rom fun with SNES and GBA roms, from playing in remote places (even as to playing a fully functional GBA emulator to a 2009, 512 mb RAM SymbianS60v5 OS phone, quite the feat, still using it) to editing with tools (Lunar Magic, Reggie,Nitro Explorer etc), until adapting to learn some simple hacking techniques for my DSi and other types of roms.
I may not know any special programming laguage (I stick with HTML5, I'm still trying to understand JavaScript), but I am willing to endure (mentally) to get the best experience of a forgotten game transformed and archived for future conservation, (and personal self-achieving, of course). That said, time and college WILL attempt to stop me, but as long as nobody else is doing it...then I will, for the time being. In short, I will rip games that I like, but nobody ripped them when I can. Other hobbies: Music composing/remastering (I don't know the notes but I can recreate them in my brain with synths), video/audio editing, translating RO/SPA/ENG and many more...
The games I currently rip are also noted in my signature, but for the tl;dr:
-Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (Can be done)
-Last Window: The Secret of Cape West (Can be done)
-Salamander 2 (Hard, but possiible)
-Xexex/Salamander Portable (Time-straining, need alternatives for arcade/PSP sprite ripping)
-s Audio (Until 2017)
- games (Very rare, we barely entered this territory and there is still lacking knowledge for ripping.)
I am very pleased to join this community and I can't wait to see what reserves the future in the Resource.

Ripping "World of Guns: Disassembly"
I have a paid "Full Access" account of World of Guns: Gun Disassembly on Steam (which means I can access all the guns in there).
What's attractive about it is that the guns are very accurate and their internal structure is completely modelled unlike other models out there
I want to be able to rip all the models in there. Can you guys teach me how?
If I can successfully rip it, I will upload it to mega.co.nz for you guys to enjoy too!
There are over 100 guns in this game!
--------INFO 1--------
The game is built using the Unity3D engine. There are multiple .assets, .assets.resS and .resource files. I tried various extraction tools, but it doesn't seem to contain any gun models. But note this is my first attempt of ripping game models, so I may be wrong
--------INFO 2--------
I tried an experiment. I made a duplicate of the game's directory. Then I launched the game from the original directory
I opened a gun that I never accessed before, and the download screen appears like usual, downloading the new gun.
Then I closed the game and compared the two directories, but nothing changed except the log file.
So where did the game download the gun models into?

Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 / 3 - Unknown model format
Hi. I'd like to start up an effort to rip skinned/rigged character models with textures from the Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3 games and upload them on TMR. This has been bugging me for years.
So I got the AFS files from the ISO and decided to check it out. The models are in XXUS1.afs, so I extracted the file called "King_C" (King Cold, my favourite character) and decided to do a little digging in his file that AFSExplorer spit out.
First things first, there's no file extension on this thing. It's about 300-something KB. I know for a fact his model, bones and textures are in there. I mean, the xxxUS2.AFS has sounds, and some appear to be missing, even, such as the fight grunts. Those files must be in another unknown format, or just compressed. And the other file, xxxUS0.afs, appears to be the boot texture and some metadata. Secondly, in HxD, there's no information at all on the internal formats of the bones or mesh. So I'm taking a shot here and assuming that the King_C file is compressed. After all, there's no way that the filesize can be that low. I think it oughta be about 700KB or up.
You might be telling me: "Yo, Tabuu! Rip them via 3DRipper or whatever." That's not my goal. I want them extracted/converted with their native filenames and all. I also want the skins and rigs. My goals are #1 to upload them on here, and #2 to get King Cold to use him in Smash Wii U mods.
I wouldn't hate being able to get effects such as energy waves and lightning textures too.
I've uploaded King_C for hackers to check out. I'd upload the AFS archive, but a) that's relatively easy to get, b) I don't the mods would like that, and c) it's over a GB, so it won't let me put it unless I put it in my Mediafire.
I'd really appreciate having this format cracked and extracted from. Tenkaichi 3 especially is a DBZ fan's treasure trove of decently made models.
Thanks for reading! =)

P4AU sprite question
Hey everyone! Got a question for the people involved in ripping the cutins from P4AU. How do I go about applying the overlays provided with each pack (or whatever term you wanna use)? Sorry if this has been asked before and if it's a pretty stupid question. I'm honestly pretty stupid when it comes to doing sprite stuff. ^^'

Star Wars Blaster Bolts
You know, I absolutely love the visual effects from Star Wars and the storylines of Episodes I-VI, but while I could easily slap on a white solid in Photoshop or After Effects, add a color, color it and call it a lightsaber, I’ve yet to see any good blaster textures that resemble the ones best from the prequels. Despite people creating the white cores of the lasers, in actuality, the cores are often a paler shade than the glow. Also, if you look at the Original Trilogy, some of the laser blasts of Imperial and Rebel craft have a gold or yellow core within them.
To that end, I’ve decided to create some custom textures for anybody looking to recreate those effects for their indy games. I’ve made the blasts especially long to give it the “laser” feel of the shots. Usually, when I add these shots to any photo, I try to rotate and resize them to make it fit, but often after I change the blending mode to “Add” or “Screen.” I hope these will be helpful for you too.

Recompiling Textures
I was able to rip the textures for Revolution 60 but I've run into a dilemma that I should have seen coming, that is I have no idea how to recompile the textures back into a .tfc file. The game yses Unreal Engine 4 and runs in 32-bit. Any pointers would be much appreciated.
