Golsource Chrome Textures in Blender

I'm planning on ripping models from goldsource games and it would be helpful to know how to get chrome textures to work in Blender (Example being the Vortigaunt's shackles being compeltely black instead of the texture working as intended). The method i'm using is to import the SMD refs directly to blender with the Blender Source Tools, I don't know if this is the optimal way to do it though.

Megaman X8 X model issues

so i downloaded a bunch of the models from megaman x8 last night and i was happily rigging them in blender, however, i found that on the model for X, the fists and open hands are clipping into each other, as well as the X buster is clipping into the left hand and left fist. its not an issue with blender as i imported the model into 2 other modeling programs and the error still persists, i checked the models for X's alternate armors, and its present on all of them too. can anyone help me with this? thank you, screenshots provided  [Image: view?usp=sharing]  [Image: view?usp=sharing]

Hello, I'm Conker the Squirrel, and since in Models Resource there's only a Mickey Mouse model from Castle of Illusion, I've been trying to rip the models but I don't know how or which files I have to extract. If someone knows, please reply.

so i had posted a submission of sonic (The adventures of sonic & donut lord style) and i checked today, and it said 0 pending submissions, so i checked the sonic media customs, its not there. and i checked normal sonic customs to see if it might have been moved, also not there so what happened?

Help Ripping Models from Billy Hatcher (GCN)

Hi all,

Just as a disclaimer I am very new to ripping assets, I have only ripped models from one other game on the Wii, and I am trying to rip the models and textures from Billy Hatcher on the Gamecube.

I have extracted the files from the ISO using Dolphin, and the game runs in dolphin just fine. But, I have a lot of .arc files from the game that so far I have not been able to open using any .arc extractor tools available, including rarcdump, arctools, arcman, yaz0dec (as some sources said they may need to run through that before they can go through rarcdump), szstools, wiiexplorer, etc. Every time it says the file is invalid or in some cases like rarcdump it just spits out corrupted empty files. 

Is there something weird going on with those .arc files? Am I doing something wrong? The game runs fine in dolphin and I tried every arc tool I could find and none work. 
There are also a lot of .prd and .mbp files and I cannot find any info on what those might contain in case they also have models that I am looking for.

Help Required in Ripping A3! Android game

A3! is an android game - an otome visual novel. I looked over many sites looking for the characters expression assets, but I havent´been able to find any.
Its is a Unity base game, but all the assets needs to be downloaded, however they don´t appear on the obb file. Also, I do not find any of the sprites used in the game in the files folder nor in the Cache folder. (Using Android emulator to extract the assets)

Please any help/suggestions? The game is about 60MB.
The sprites are 2D like any typical VN, this is from a wiki fandom, but the sprites are nowhere available.

I started on a sprite sheet of Janine from the Pokemon games forever ago, and I don't necessarily plan on finishing it in the immediate future, but I wanted to get some feedback on it. Specifically I wanted some opinions on the hair. In the left sprite you can see that the hair has a block outline whereas on the right it does not. I'm honestly torn as to which I prefer. Thoughts? Any feedback at all would be much appreciated. If it matters, the style I was going for was an emulation of the Kirby DS games specifically "Kirby Super Star Ultra".

Extracting Kill La Kill IF sound files

Hello! I got Kill La Kill:IF for the PC and I want to extract the sound file of the game. However, I noticed they are all in .snp and .vcd files. Upon looking at them via a hex editor, these files contain .oggs. How can I extract them? I find nothing when I try to look up .snp, and searching for .vcd's point me towards video converters. I'm not sure if those will work.

Hi,

I am currently working on a game I've got largely finished, I dont think it would be fun enough to really post on here or whatever, as it's mainly just a way to learn Angular development and put on my portfolio but anyway its basically a combat test for a Final Fantasy style JRPG combat system that is at the moment kind of basic, but also unique in that it borrows from Warhammer and DnD combat systems. I think it might eventually be good but the point is I wouldnt think of this too much as an opportunity to put your work out there and more so a way to get payed for relatively easy work.

Anyway, my characters and enemies have no assets so I'd like to hire someone to do single frame sprites of character classes and enemies. I like 8 bit art, some of the favorite styles I like are Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warrior, Final Fantasy, and Megaman. I am not saying you have to use those sprite styles but you could honestly rip off the legendary super warriors one entirely and I'd be happy. I just need 1 sprite per enemy and per play race/class combination, but that does not have to happen all up front. Need help with Crossing Void Sprite Palletes

Hello everyone,


So I need some help merging a pallete to a sprite, I'm new to ripping sprite stuff from games so please forgive me of my stupidity kekw

I'm trying to merge/apply this pallete

Into this sprite

So, I tried a couple of things by applying the sprites with Fighter Factory. And it's a gone FUBAR

Then I tried to index both the sprite and the pallete and yet it's still a huge mess.
I think there's a tool out there let you rip and apply the pallete at the same time, but I couldn't manage to find it.


Can anyone help me figure this out please? I would really appreciate it~


The sprite is just an example, I know someone uploaded Accelerator Sprite. There's some new sprite for existing characters from Fighting Climax exclusive to Crossing Void that I'm trying to rip, but I ran into this problem.

Is there any particular reason .blend is not accepted as a model format? i feel like so many people use blender these days it would be nice to have blend files as an option for blender users so they dont have to bother with model importing and such.

Help with Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed

I want to rip the Hornet model from AGES, but the files are in a .gpu.spc container and nobody seems to have said how to extract them. Other people seem to have extracted models just fine so I would like to know how this is done.
